Yes! Screens are so bad especially at night, I also suffer photophobia so eyes very sensitive- the dimmer the better 🙂
What a precious, precious lady you are. You take so much care in every move, you have such a sweet, healing smile and touch. I hope the people who are really struggling with the upheaval of all that's been happening knows you and has the good sense to take a moment every day to heal themselves. It can go such a long way to feel the GENUINE concern and care for people that is so evident in you. I really don't mean to gush, I just know people need these gestures so desperately right now. This is literally a godsend for some people.

Noémie DeSantis how is it unfair? By any measure 900K is a lot and I’m sure Emma is thankful for the subscribers she has and isn’t fretting about it. There are a lot of ASMRtists and Emma, like everyone else in the world, isn’t going to appeal to absolutely everyone. But again, 900K is a lot and nothing to snub. Just enjoy that she as many as she has and stop looking for something to complain about.

I am a train engineer who is in a great deal of pain everyday. My aunt introduced me to these videos because she knows I was suffering from insomnia. These ASMR sleep videos work better than sleep aids. I even recommend these to the other train crews I work with.

@@melissasaint3283 I have arthritis in my lower back & knees. Cause was many years of climbing up & down railroad equipment with heavy items.
I hope you continue finding the comfort you deserve, that sounds like a stressful and difficult job when taking your pain into account
I recently broke up with my long term boyfriend. I frequently suffer from night terrors which in turn cause insomnia and he used to talk to me to help me sleep when I woke up in the middle of the night. My sleep in the weeks following our break up was horrendous but I have been putting this video on when I wake up in the middle of a night and I can’t tell you how much comfort it provides - I am usually relaxed and asleep within 15 minutes and don’t wake up again until my alarm goes off. Thank you, you’re a godsend! X

I have been doing a lot better thank you 😊 I did have to go wind up taking some medication to sleep but I still find myself coming back to Emma’s ASMR channel if I find myself wanting a daytime doze on the couch. It may sound sad but I really enjoy the background chatter, being alone in my apartment and all!

I never thought a language that isn’t my mother tongue could make me feel so safe.
And I mean Safe. I think I never felt this kind of kindness from any other than my already passed granny. She was the only one who could calm me and truly show how much she cared about me.
Then after many many years I found Emma. Totally a stranger to me. But I get the same energy and calm from you. The way you look at (me) camera, the way you talk makes me feel I’m home. Even I haven’t been at home in many years.

When Emma talks, she makes these involuntary mouth sounds...like a slight pop sound. I call them "mouth pops". I hear them all throughout the video and give lil tingles everywhere.
the consonant pops at the ends of words do it for me.
I find whispering relaxing, but unfortunately I can't stand that sound. I call it crackles.

There are four or five ASMR artists I visit frequently, and Emma is one. Often I'm scrolling through their videos in the middle of the night, looking for one that will help me get back to sleep. It can't be the kind of video where you're getting your hair cut - although I love those - or one that is like a show and tell (love those too). It has to be one that requires absolutely no thought. This is perfect. Thank you for thinking of this, Emma. You are a genius.

As someone who suffers from AS (Ankylosing Spondylitis) by the end of the day, I'm often in pain with my bones and joints and have trouble breathing... I'm often exhausted.... On days when I’m having what I call “mommy issues” I know that I can come to your channel and feel that security one gets from being nurtured and cared for by a loving mother. I just hope you know how appreciated you are and how much you mean to the people you make content for.
Unlike when this video was first posted, I don't have a mum anymore. Her passing was quite sudden and has affected my sleep a lot, I often wake up from unpleasant dreams, or pleasant ones that make it feel worse when they're over. Listening to your ASMR is a source of comfort, and brings back that nostalgic feeling of safety. Thank you Emma!

I’m a full-time caregiver to my father who is blind and has dementia and my mother has long passed away. You are so incredibly sweet and nurturing in your videos I feel like you are actually pampering me and at the end of a demanding day after I’ve said my prayers my favorite thing to do is fall asleep to your lovely voice and smiling eyes. I'm 15 and I am growing up in an abusive household with an emotionally absent mum and in general an absent dad. This gives me a motherly feeling like when I used to wake up in the middle of the night from a nightmare or insomnia and my mum would take care of me. This reminds me of it.
You're so strong for finding a healthy way to coup and for sharing. There are resources for youth like hotlines that are confidential. But so happy you find a way to be soothed. You're so strong sweetie!

Explaining ASMR tingles sounds so creepy, but this video gave me warm tingles down my sides and down my spine. I found out I’m pregnant 2 weeks ago and I woke up at 1am and couldn’t fall back asleep until 6:30am. I haven’t been sleeping well due to anxiety of telling my family.
