This ramble covers a myriad of topics, from how I discovered ASMR, why/when I started my channel, what my family/boyfriend/friends think of ASMR, what I think about the different "types" of ASMR, and just how darn happy I am to be here. God. this video reminded me that UA-cam is over a decade old now. I remember my friend telling me back in middle school about this cool website he heard about with a lot of funny videos and i couldn't find it cause i kept misspelling it. This earth is so blessed to have gibi . Sometimes I get bullied at school(typical middle school experience) and I come home depressed and tired. Recently my dog died and I have been having trouble sleeping. Gibis vids are calming and help me forget about all the bad things that happen in my life, and I can sleep feeling assured that everything is going to be okay. So thanks and hi to mama Gibi!

I discovered that I have ASMR two days ago when I came across your videos. I remember when I was very young that I would experience "the tingles" (that's the phrase I always referred to them as to myself) with soft talking and gentle pencil strokes on paper, etc. But I always thought it was just me, so I never told anyone for fear of people, including and especially my family and friends, thinking I'm crazy. And I thought that way until I watched the first video of yours which was the one with the wine stopper. I then looked up what ASMR was and it all made sense and I no longer felt alone with this. I can't tell you how liberating it felt to finally know the truth. I love your videos Gibi! Thank you so much for what you do! You are so awesome!
My first ever ASMR memory was when I was in preschool and my friend was rummaging through her pencil case for a sharpener and I just felt so relaxed.

your recent tapping video is one of my favourite asmr videos ever. it not only helps me to sleep when i can't, but i watched it every morning before my exams for the last two weeks and it calmed me down so much. it stopped me from freaking out too much every morning which was really important if i wanted to do well. thank u so much for providing us with your videos💖😍
Can the tingles go away? I used to get insane tingles when I first found out about the world of ASMR, but now I feel them less and less or it takes certain triggers. It's getting harder and harder for me to feel the tingles and it makes me sad:'(

You have to quit cold turkey for about 2 weeks. It works, guaranteed.
I do get some tingles from ASMR, but like you, the main reason I watch ASMR is to relax and/or fall asleep, as I have suffered with insomnia my entire life. You have quickly become my fav ASMRtist, especially because of your cosplay & roleplay videos. I feel that you are right that there is a huge niche for that in the community, and you are filling it wonderfully. Can't wait to see what you do in the future. Thanks for making my life better over the past year or so.

I'm nearly 40 and never knew that these tingles were something that other people experienced. A friend turned me on to UA-cam ASMR videos and I discovered that so many people out there are in the same boat. I really enjoy your videos and they help me to relax while I'm working. Thanks!
Gibi, I LOVE the videos where you touch the camera with brushes, and or your hands. There is a couple reasons why this works though, and it's not just because I personally feel like you're interacting with me. The contrast of seeing a lot of light on you, and then darkness where your hands/brush are when close to the cam create this calming affect when I watch. I swear to you I've watched the videos where brushes or your hands are close to the camera at least 200 times. (and if I get an ad I watch the entire thing) It's just that when you create some of those videos it's always around 16-20 minutes. Can you see if maybe you can create a video that's around that magical 30 minute mark? Maybe switch between hands and brushes a couple times? Make sure to get that good bright to darkness contrast that happens too. I LOVE YOUR CONTENT!! :D

Gibi, I wanted to thank you for the hard work you put into your videos. I found ASMR accidentally and now I watch at least a video a night to get relaxed for sleep. Your videos are just exceptional. I've been watching ASMR for years and although some videos are good, they seem a bit flat. I think what sets your videos apart from most is that your happiness in doing these comes through. It's obvious that you love doing these. I hope you keep making these for years to come. And shoutout to MamaGibi.

I agree with you, i don"t get tingles but the state of relaxation i get from ASMR is a completely different sensation that helps with anxiety and overall stress-fullness.

Gibi you were the first person that I saw that made asmr and to be honest everytime I tell someone beside my boyfriend I watch you to fall asleep they call me weird but ever since watching you and your video it has honestly cured my insomnia, I can say that I can now fall asleep within 15-30 mins instead of 3-4 hours ! this is really unbelievable i never thought that ASMR was even a thing found about this literally 2 days ago i always thought it was just something weird with me experiencing this feeling as a kid and even now getting tingles,i watched a couple of your videos and i love them so relaxing helps me fall asleep aswell.

I started watching a few different videos but nothing really triggered me until I found the tapping and finger flutters. When I was in PreSchool, sometimes if the teacher was explaining things, and all the sudden I got SOOO relaxed, and my hand got so numb, so much to the point where I couldn't write normally, and Its been happening ever since. The first ASMR vid I watched made all my limbs went numb and I couldn't speak, it was crazy, and Ive been addicted ever since 😂

I experienced it at the literal doctor as a kid, especially when they used the instruments to look inside of your ear. Feeling and hearing that was so satisfying to me. In terms of tingles, the first clear memory of it was in third grade, when a teacher was demonstrating with another teacher how not to listen to someone's story, as we were about to do an activity where we got in pairs and told each other stories (beginning of the year, getting to know each other, it's third grade). The story telling of the teacher combined with the actions to show disinterest and distraction of the other gave me so many tingles, and it's easy to see why if you were there to experience it, though it's hard to explain what they did. Anyhow, I then went on to experience the tingles many times, wondering if I was the only one but not wanting to ask others. I never thought to Google it, for some reason, it just never occurred. Eventually I discovered ASMR through UA-cam, and what a bittersweet feeling it was knowing there's so much content but also that I wasn't special with these brain tingles.
You should do a "Doing hair ASMR "
I remember being in kindergarten and watching another girl play with someone’s hair and I would just get this sensation....wishing someone would play with my hair as well. My mom would always rub and play with my hair before bed. It was always just so amazing. I never knew it was called something. I never knew that only specific people get ASMR. One day very recently buzzfeed posted a video about ASMR and it just triggered everything. It was amazing. Before I knew what ASMR was, I loved watching videos that were like meditation based...finding I was drawn to channels that had a voice I liked listening to or sounds that I liked hearing as background noise while working. I love love love that I found your channel. Thank you for making me realize this ability to relax. 🙏

i think females are more common, but the first time i found someone who i really couldn't stop watching was Dimitri (massageAsmr). but now there's a girl i watch regularly. i think it's just about if we sympathize with the person, female or male.
Listen girl, you can make a rambling video that's an hour long and I would still watch it and love it. The length of the video doesn't matter as long as you like the video and it's the way you want it to be. Love you girl 💜💜💜

There were four confirmed errors in Alex's Grammar. Alex used got instead of have. They capitalized the word "any". Alex put a space between "any" and "more", it is one word. Alex misspelled "planned" as "planed".
