Holdup the Verge bikes dont have any belt or chain drive on them do they ? just 3 thick electrical cables connected to the motor ? amazing stuff
Yep motor is in the wheel so there's no need for transfer through chain/belt/shaft.

1000Nm is just willy-waving. What's that going to do to tyres?
My Z1000 has 110Nm and that's more than enough to spin up the rear on crap UK roads. It can't do 350km on a "charge" but it can recharge and let me do 500 miles plus in a day.
All this technology yet an old school DR650 is way more interesting.

These bikes are interesting as a demonstration of what is possible, but like so much technology in phones, computers, cars, and their related systems it seems to be endless solutions for problems I don't have. Offering to provide things I don't need and wanting to charge me vast sums for the privilege.
Starmatter: Uses Unreal Engine, you know, the thing we used to play 'Unreal Tournament' and has a AI, so don't be surprised when it recommends "godlike" evasive manoeuvrers.

Some of the design features on these electric bikes are very clever indeed but other than natural curiosity I have no interest in ever owning an electric motorcycle 🇬🇧
Hybrid bikes have great potential, electric bikes are just....... meh 😕
Couldn't agree more! Electric bikes are just so uninteresting.
Even the hybrides are bs, only making a bike too heavy.
For cars it's okay, not for motocycles
Hubless wheels look great but I do not see the available systems can adequately cope with debris. Long-term reliability tests in the real world are needed to prove these systems are safe, functional and reliable. I hope we get a good system. The looks is awesome!
Boy, were these bikes ugly, nah, not my thing, I would rather have ICE any day..
No matter how much they're promoted, I see them being about as popular , as the EV cars..

Absolutely hilarious with the logic of all the naysayers! Listen. If you’re happier with your gixxer, you’re probably not the demographic they’re going after. I mean, why would I pay 200 k€ for a Lamborghini when my 9 k€ station wagon can transport my whole family and is much cheaper to maintain?
test rode a Zero electric motorcycle…soulless and honestly, boring to ride.
