    4.30mhz is HF frequency used for long range comms by bouncing the signal of the atmosphere can achieve global range, where as VHF and UHF are line of sight only so if you want more range fly higher or use HF

      Those low frequencies are for the WW2 era modules

      @@bodifx they are still used today by both military and civil aircraft especially when crossing the Atlantic and Pacific oceans and other areas were there is no UHF VHF coverage.
      Although they are starting to be phased out and replace by Satellite comms now as speech is clear (don't sound like your on helium) and you don't have to keep changing frequencies due to propagation.

      The HF frequency is used by the MiG-15 & MiG19s.

    You mentioned monitoring of guard channel, unfortunately in DCS that does not work in F-5E, as well as some other modules like A-10C, M-2000C, Viggen etc...
    As you said, this radio is UHF only. The T and A positions are used for active, anti-jamming mode.

    Whenever I try contact atc the frequency keeps resetting to 262.0

      @@grimreapers turned out if you have simplified radio turned on in the game settings it won't let you input frequencys
