just one question, I just realized that I connect my headphone amplifier to the main output of the presonus v2 station, and I get less volume in my amplifier, which If I connect my amplifier to the outputs directly from my interface, I have more volume gain, could you tell me why that happens? It seems that the presonus loses output gain, connecting my amplifier or my monitors, to the outputs of my apogee card, I have more output gain level, without touching the volumes of the card or my amplifier
Hello. There are volume controls on each speaker output so that you can calibrate the volume of each pair of monitors. The cue output volume is controlled by the cue output volume control. Hope that helps :-)
@@davespeakmanmusic I know, but you have not understood me, what I am saying is that if I connect the amplifier to the presonus, in the main or Cue presonus output, the gain volume of my headphone amplifier is lower, than if I connect my headphone amplifier directly to the output of my interface. Without touching anything. I think it means that the presonus degrades the signal coming from my interface. Because the gain that comes to my headphone amplifier is poorer. Surely my monitors too, although I have not checked, and if the level is lower when the signal from my card passes through the presonus, does it mean that the D / A conversion is degraded when it passes through presonus station v2? What do you think?
Perhaps the impedance of the outputs is different and that is changing the volume. I'm not sure really, I calibrated my system so that my monitors are the loudest I ever want them with the volume on 100%...
@@davespeakmanmusic You cannot change the output of my card, nor that of presonus, everything is at +4, believe me, do the test, I have been using the presonus 6 for 5 years I had not realized until today, that I decided to connect my headphone amplifier to the presonus, before I had it on outputs 3 and 4 of my apogee quartet, and what I assure you, my amplifier sounded louder, and I dare say that more detailed and clearer, than connecting it to the presonus, today I am disappointed, the presonus is fine to work with, but I think it degrades the stereo image and fatness of the converters, if you don't believe me, just give it a try and connect your converter directly to your monitors. I have a Rupert neve rnhp amplifier headphones. And you can see it
Thanks for this Dave, appreciate you!
Glad you like it. It's a great product
Thank you. i just got up and went to buy one. my life is in order now!!
That's great - you'll love it!
Thanks for the video
Thanks for watching
I just bought this ! after 4 years is it still working good any issues ? thanks.
Yes! I I still use it as my main headphone amp.
What do you think about using the presonus station like headphones amp ?
It works with DT770 pro 250 ohm ???
Yes, there’s plenty of gain to drive high impedance headphones. I have some 400 ohm DT100 that work fine.

What cords do you used for the main inputs
Use*
1/4" ballanced Jack. You can download the manual here: www.presonus.com/products/Monitor-Station-V2/downloads
when did Jason Statham start mixing music?
💪
Does it colour the sound ?
No, nice and clean. The headphone amps are great too - I've retired the Samson amp I was using as this one is quieter...
The spdif doesn’t seem to work as intended....
Hello. I'd love to help, can you be more specific as to what problem you're having?
