In my years of working for companies like United Healthcare and Hagerty where I was the most requested instructor, I determined the quickest way to pass the state licensing insurance exam.
My method is to focus on the most tested topics for all four state licensing exams (Property & Casualty, and Life & Health) and knowing and understanding the most tested topics instead of memorizing practice exam questions. (Tip: You should not be doing quizzes or practice exams very much and if you are- STOP. The questions in your course will not be the same questions on your exam.)
Knowing and understanding the material will serve you far better than multiple hours doing practice questions, which is why my class series packages (see link below) have seriously become a GAME CHANGER for securing that pass!

I was stressed and depressed about passing the Texas P&C exam recently. I had failed it twice with a 65 (I needed a passing score of 70) with my employment on the line. I thought oh no, I can't lose my job but I have to pass this exam. I had trained and studied with Exam Fx, which is great, but I wasn't retaining the information. I decided to watch damn near all of Mellisa's videos and she just has a way of explaining it all so that it clicks! I connected, understood and learned more in 2 weeks than I had in over a month with other resources. I passed my exam today with a 73!! I kept thinking of you and all the fun you bring to this subject! For the first time I felt EXCITED about taking the exam today! I could not have done it without the Insurance Exam Queen! bruh i failed 3 times XD but got it at the 4th
I failed it the first time with a 67, but went back the second time and passed it. The problem I'm having now is finding employment nobody want to hire me now that I have this license.

So I took the Personal Lines state exam 2 weeks ago in GA and failed. I got a 67 out of 70. I was so mad because I studied so hard. I want to say thank you to you and your extremely informative class. I paid an “agency” $375.00 for a 3 day class walked out of that class and didn’t learn a thing. What made it worse is all my questions I had about what he just went over he couldn’t provide specific answers for them. He simply took a book from a well known Insurance school, copied it and read it aloud. After signing up for your class I had to take the test on Monday. I signed up on Saturday and from then on I watched all your content. Became a gold member. Non-stop I watched it. Took notes etc. On Monday I went to take my exam and passed! I’m extremely grateful. Took the xcelsolutions course and used these videos to really ingrain all of the information as well as have it reiterated for the Colorado Property and the Colorado Casualty Exam and I passed both first try. Good luck y’all

I stumbled upon your videos and I wish I had seen them sooner! I’ve taken my P&C exam in Arkansas 2 times and failed both times. The first one I was a few points from passing and the second time I did horribly. It probably didn’t help that I did the remote exam and I felt targeted by my proctor. I’ve been binge watching your videos all weekend and I’m taking the exam tomorrow afternoon. Hopefully I’ll pass and then I plan on doing Life & Health. I plan on using your course if my state allows me to do that excel (might be spelling it wrong) and upgrading to your gold plan or higher. Thank you for explaining everything like you do! Thank you! Your videos are easy to understand and very thorough. I am just starting this journey of learning insurance. I took a local zoom class here in NC...what a waste of money that was. The instructor while entertaining did nothing but read from their supplemental book. I failed the property test, didn't get a chance to do casualty as the test wouldn't load and the administrative person was less than helpful. So, no certificate to take the State exam as I gave up dealing with the ridiculous company. I've learned more watching the above video than I did in the 40 hour class. Getting ready to sign up with Kaplan to get the pre-licensing class completed.

Longer Answer:
I have helped thousands of people pass their insurance licensing exam. Companies from United Healthcare to Hagerty have requested that I be their instructor for all their new hires in order to secure a pass as quickly as possible.
During my years of working for them, and securing high pass rates, I was able to determine the quickest and fastest way to pass the exam.
My method is to focus on the most tested topics, and knowing and understanding the most tested topics instead of memorizing practice exam questions. You should not be doing quizzes or practice exams very much and if you are- STOP. The questions in your course will not be the same questions on your exam.
Knowing and understanding the material will serve you far better than multiple hours doing practice questions which is why my class series recordings make such a difference and why I have over 80 5-Star Reviews on my Google Business Page.
My teaching style is very casual, I keep things simple, I use memorization techniques, I use a lot of charts and graphs as visuals to help you understand the material.
Below, I have written up what is most important for your state exam, and where you should spend your time during your studies.
Insurance terms and related concepts, and policy provisions and contract law are two of the simplest chapters to study since they have the least amount of material to study, usually about 20 pages in total for both chapters. It is very easy to grab many points here, then it is to grab them in any of the other chapters. If you have already studied and failed these are most likely the chapters you need help on.
For the types of property chapter, it can be really difficult to grab many points here, because the chapter is so large, a hundred pages worth of study, that trying to secure points across hundreds of pages worth of material can be difficult. What I encourage people to do is focus on dwelling, homeowners, and flood. Dwelling and Homeowners can seem difficult to understand but after I break them down in my Royal Treatment Class Series, you’ll see how easy you can get a lot of points in these chapters. You want to focus on policy names, policy coverages and amounts, which are named or open peril.
For types of casualty, this is another hundred page chapter that can be difficult to secure points in, so we focus on personal auto and commercial auto.nPersonal Auto is easier, so make that your focus. Memorize the parts of an auto policy, how to respond in an accident and definitions like split limit and per occurrence. Umbrella also comes from this chapter too and that’s an easy concept to get points on. All my Royal Treatment Class Series include an Auto and Umbrella Class that tells you what to focus on.
Commercial Policies are inside both Types of Property and Types of Casualty. Commercial is hundreds of pages worth of study and content and you don’t need to know it all. All my Royal Treatment Class Series include a Commercial Class that tells you what to focus on.
Lastly, you want to be really decent in state law. Most state exams will have this chapter at around 20% or more of the exam. While every state is different and has different numbers, you need to know which numbers are important, and which things you should memorize from this chapter. I teach that information in my insurance regulations classes which are included in all my Royal Treatment Class Series.

I will be taking my p&c exam this week in Alabama and there's a couple questions I have that I am hoping you could answer/explain
-The nine year old child of a person with Homeowners insurance purposely damages the property of a neighbor. Would this claim be covered under the parent's policy?
-Damage to a dwelling caused by a family of raccoons would be covered by which Homeowners policy?
-A collection of seven historically important mugs are valued at $10,000. Each is valued at $1,000. If five mugs are destroyed by a covered peril, the Loss to a Pair or Set Clause would dictate a payment of how much?

I have helped thousands of people pass their insurance licensing exam. Companies from United Healthcare to Hagerty have requested that I be their instructor for all their new hires in order to secure a pass as quickly as possible.
During my years of working for them, and securing high pass rates, I was able to determine the quickest and fastest way to pass the exam.
My method is to focus on the most tested topics, and knowing and understanding the most tested topics instead of memorizing practice exam questions.
You should NOT be doing quizzes or practice exams very much and if you are- STOP. The questions in your course will not be the same questions on your exam.
Knowing and understanding the material will serve you far better than multiple hours doing practice questions which is why my class series recordings make such a difference and why I have over 140 5-Star Reviews on my Google Business Page.
My teaching style is very casual, I keep things simple, I use memorization techniques, and I create a lot of charts and graphs as visuals to help you understand the material.
Below, I have written up what is most important for your state exam, and where you should spend your time during your studies.
The major things to know are General Insurance, PC Basics, Dwelling, Homeowners and Auto. These categories require memorization of names, amounts, some math, and a working understanding of how this type of insurance works.
General Insurance is the foundational chapter and when you know it well, it helps with all the other chapters. Most states will range in how much this chapter is tested typically being around 5% to 10%, but since it’s the foundation for all else, you want to be decent in knowing these terms, especially anything related to contract law. All my Royal Treatment Class Series include a General Insurance Terms Class.
PC Basics is one of the most important chapters and can be up to 20% of the state exam. This chapter covers Policy Structure, Policy Provisions, and lots of definitions. All my Royal Treatment Class Series include a PC Basics Class.
Dwelling and Homeowners can seem difficult to understand but after I break them down in my Royal Treatment Class Series, you’ll see how easy you can get a lot of points in these chapters. You want to focus on policy names, policy coverages and amounts, which are named or open peril. All my Royal Treatment Class Series include a Dwelling and Homeowners Class.
There are also math questions related to Property Policies, but you never quite know if you’ll get 0 or 5 questions with math. It won’t break you to fail every math question if you are strong in other areas, but it certainly helps to be prepared for them and I teach them very simply. The math on the exam requires a memorization of insurance rules, coverage amounts, an equation to learn and input into a calculator (most every state allows calculators). All my Royal Treatment Class Series include math examples.
Now, in most states you do not need to know Commercial Policies to be able to pass, but it’s great to have some working knowledge to secure points in that chapter. If you're taking personal lines, you don't need commercial at all and can skip this paragraph. If you’re in Alabama, you definitely need commercial as it’s 26% of your exam! Commercial is hundreds of pages worth of study and content and you don’t need to know it all. All my Royal Treatment Class Series include a Commercial Class that tells you what to focus on with my Gold Series having the most extensive commercial videos including CGL, Workers Comp and Bonds. If you’re taking the Personal Lines exam, you do not need to know any Commercial Policies.
For Auto insurance, you’ll get tested on both Personal Auto and Commercial Auto. Personal Auto is easier, so make that your biggest focus. Memorize the Parts of an Auto Policy, how they respond in an accident and definitions like Split limit and Per occurrence. All my Royal Treatment Class Series include an Auto Class that tells you what to focus on.
Lastly, you want to be really decent in state law. Most state exams will have this chapter at around 20% or more of the exam. While every state is different and has different numbers, you need to know which numbers are important, and which things you should memorize from this chapter. I teach that information in my insurance regulations classes which are included in all my Royal Treatment Class Series.
So in short, Get My Royal Treatment Class Series of Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum all come with 100 days access.
Bronze is a Basic Review with 8 hours of class recordings.
Silver is a Deeper Review with 14 hours of video.

on my #MI #P&C practice exam, I had a question: Which of the following best describes a misrepresentation? the choices were 1. Making a maliciously critical statement that is intended to injure another 2. Making a deceptive or untrue statement about a person engaged in the insurance business 3. Issuing sales material with exaggerated statements about policy benefits 4. Discriminating among individuals of the same insuring class. I chose option #2 because I thought misrepresentation would be an untrue statement, but I got it wrong and the correct answer was #3 and I don't understand how #2 was wrong

A question that they ask was something like - “ if someone was going to inherit a property when the owner dies when can they insure the home?”
At that point do they have insurable interest even if they haven’t passed away yet? Or do they have to wait until they pass away in order to get it insured?

In South Carolina where I live it has become mandatory for all surety bondsmans to obtain property and casualty insurance license and if we do not pass the exam for this bondsmans cannot write Bail Bonds.
