  • This video is a studio recording of The Scientists jazz combo in a professional recording studio, using only the preamps on the Steinberg AXR4T audio interface. Stacking AXRT audio interfaces - three for this session - gave us 12 microphone inputs. The video is compiled from three separate takes, demonstrating the Rupert Neve Designs Silk processing that brings different flavours to music recording. It features the transparent sound of the hybrid preamps at the neutral setting (no RND Silk), the sheen and velvety top end of the RND Silk Red and the warmth and powerful low end of the RND Silk Blue.
The music for this recording was mixed using only the DSP plugins included with the AXR4T professional recording interface. It highlights how the Rupert Neve processing and effects included with these exceptional Steinberg audio interfaces make a real difference to recording jazz and other music genres.
    Song: Signs by The Scientists
    Vocals: Rouhangeze
    Piano: Tomasz Bura
    Bass: Mikele Montolli
    Drums: Saleem Raman

the RND Silk would be a great addition to cubase channels strip in the saturation slots, seems like it really helps for 3D kind mix depth

liked the blue one most on this piece.gave it depth and body.the clean was ...well "clean" but the least depth to my ears.
