I (the mapper) also coded the blocks. In the first drafts of the level, the entire map was completeable backwards without the blocks, but i had to make some sacrifices for the sake of decheese and playtesting feedback
This is a nice change after the sj grandmaster thread conversation. I tried this but gave up for now in the first room. Don't worry, after the first 15 minutes of trying in a blind playthrough style, I gave up on trying to do it stateless lol But I might give it a second chance so I don't think I'll watch the solutions

all pettable cats speedrun is no longer something i want to even think about
To make you feel better, there’s a cat for beating summit downside with Theo so that speedrun is already dead imo
and another cat in ivory secret ending, which requires tons of frame perfect moves
and another cat in a very hidden bounce helper room in shattersong
@@lostinnowhere6688 the bounce helper room is also gm+2 making it one of the hardest rooms in celeste
It should be "max cats" instead of "all cats". That way one can do however many one wants but doing more is always better
shoutouts to the person who had to code in the appearing/disappearing lostlevels blocks just for this secret

from looking at my input overlay it appears to be jump -> updemo 2f later -> precise wallboost
@@telehops 6:33, how can the updemo go left? Is it a special dash bounce?
@@YulunHu-u7b you can move left/right for a short time after updemoing before getting uncrouched, so you just move left and climbjump
