Put in an order online from a parts warehouse in the same city as me, everything was in stock except the case which was 3-5 days from warehouse. Ended up taking 5 weeks for them to deliver the parts.
Can comfirm, worked in customer service. Sometimes we already know something is not available or possible. But the costumer will feel like we don't know if we don't take a while to tell them. To be fair, I'd check like 70% of the times to see if by any miracle what the customer wanted was possible

When I had a similar issue, I sent them a long mail after two failed attempts, that I'm not getting the service I am paying for, which is a fundamental part of the contract and that I'd end the contract without notice. Got a call next day by an actual technician who found the issue. But review your contract and local laws before doing that.

It's a kind of sieve for actual issues.

One tried to take 25% after waiting for near 5 months and when i did cancel,tried to take that 25% of the payment cause they bought the parts and stuff but i didn't buy that crap since on thier site they say they build and ship it in a month but lied so I used that against them and my bank and visa solved that issue.Pos companies out there tbh

This has been exactly my experience ordering a PC rig from Redux. I ordered it July 27th. Took fully a month to receive it... broken. No display, no power to the USB ports. Took another nearly two weeks to get a return label, and they've held it for now going on three weeks with no update on its repair status. $2500 well spent

You guys need to do a skit where Rowan plays all the characters. Have a new employee from another play tech store working for seasonal help played by rowan who gets bullied by manager rowan with another customer played by rowan, and the new employee quits after his experience. And manager rowan gets called by another branch played by rowan and they argue the rowan way. Meanwhile Alan is in the background confused
At the end Rowan goes to Allan: "You see? This is how you deal with the situation"
He is talking straight NPC when Hamish decided too met him, lol.

'fun' fact. The first people you talk to can't do anything, they can check if it works on their end and only the most basic of advices.
Anything else they have to escalate. They are tech support only in name.

When I had a similar issue, I sent them a long mail after two failed attempts, that I'm not getting the service I am paying for, which is a fundamental part of the contract and that I'd end the contract without notice.
Got a call next day by an actual technician who found the issue.
But review your contract and local laws before doing that.
@@boooster101 It's also not about competent guys being too busy, it's also about most customers simply being, well... stupid. You have no idea how many issues are fixed by a simple restart. Imagine if the competent guys were flooded with people that think they can copy something form one pc to another by clicking copy with their PC mouse on the first PC and then replugging the mouse to another PC and clicking "paste" there. It's a kind of sieve for actual issues.
