Hello
My original freehub had 3 pawls in it
But can I buy any new 6 pawls freehub and fit on the old one??
How do I know any freehub can fit any brands?
Does it come with different patterns and sizes?
I'm using entity hubs
Thanks.
Are you using a hope hub?

I'm using this one
@@tiptopimdakillah3776 Looks like a rebranded formula hub. Go look for some 6 pawls formula compatible hubs. There is a higher chance of that working than buying some random 6 pawl hubs
I just put a empty water bottle with the cap off and put it around the little hole between the frame and the wheel, it won’t destroy your hub but may wear your tire down a bit
Dirt bike noise 😂
this video title should be renamed to:"how to contaminate your rotors, get water inside the ratchet and ruin ur hubs"
Ever hear of sound lmao 😂 😅🤣 sure would have been nice anyway good job on the visual
Why would you want louder hubs it's annoying to be loud.
As a mechanic and engineer I wluldnt recommend wd40 or cleaning the grease away. A lighter grease and plenty of it will suppress the sound and prelomg the life of the hub. If you want loud hubs get some e13 hubs. There insainly loud !!!! Don't copy this video heh
Serious question, why would one want their bike to be louder?
When u dont like to use a ringbell to annoy ppl , loud hub is better for ppl to notice when u cycle behind them
I've seen that you can buy another set of leaf springs and stack them ontop of each other
R.I.P Ratchet's and Pawl's
How to make your wife's voice louder: Destroy your hub, then buy new full wheelset. This will make your wife make noise
When ever I do this I only clean the springs and pawls your driver needs grease or it will chew it's self up
What's the point of having loud wheels? 😅
the thing that i dont get is, Why you want it to be louder ?
Einstein 🙈
Why do you want your hub to be louder?
Lol! 😫
Just spotted this clip. WD40 where the WD stands for water displacer. Can't even tell if it's louder than it was before, it might be, likely irrelevant by now as that hub's probably fubar and in the bin anyway. 😬
Why would you take factory grease out and put nothing back in, it doesn't make sense to me.
I would never do this as it will shorten the life of it.
El video debería de llamarse "Todo lo que no debes de hacerle a una masa"
Hmmmmmmm no grease, I suppose so. You can also run your car with no oil, and it will be louder also.. For short time anyway
I think the grease is to serve a purpose.
wont this destroy my bearings?
It wont affect bearings
@@henrysummerside5158 apparently you're wrong, it will affect the bearings. DO NOT SPRAY IT INSIDE YOUR HUB.
yes it will though, don't listen to him that it won't affect the bearings lol
@@henrysummerside5158 haha!
Hi sir I am one of your subscribers in manila philippines . I would like to ask something is the HOPE 4 PRO can fit in 2x10 setup
Yes I have it in a 10 speed setup on my bike, however I use a single speed setup at the front. This wont make a difference so you will be all good 👍
if you want to make your hope pro 4 louder just add some of them springs
What size rim and spoke to install the hubs like this
People who say it will destroy your hubs and all that either have been unlucky or just talking rubbish the absolute worse to happen if you do this is maybe paws and springs wear out and bearings do to! All which are pretty damn cheap to replace i had a stock mdk hub that came with my downhill bike I completely degreased the whole hub and freehub it was bone dry with no oil or grease in sight. Then i put 3 extra springs into the hub the old wrap around style and had it like that for about 4 years the paws were a little worn and the bearings were abit gritty but it was perfectly fine! Some people are just scaremongering people doing new things! If you can’t afford a few bearings and springs dont do it simple as 🤦♂️
The worst that could happen is you ruin the drive ring which is not replaceable. Aka you’d need a new hub… it won’t affect your bearings in any way. As someone who services hubs on a daily basis I can tell you the wear increase with stronger/double springs and oil instead of grease is obvious.
I am totally lost here. Why do you want the hub louder ? More importantly, why do you want the hub louder at the expense of destroying the hub ?
Why is louder a good thing?
Goodluck for the chain kickback and broken pawls and spring.
fun trick!
have you tried using a lighter oil (sumat like chain lube) instead of the grease?
would be interested to see a side-by-side wear comparison... i doubt it's a very noticable difference :P
That’s a great idea for another video. Keep an eye on this space I will do a comparison soon for sound and wear
The pro 4 hubs are so affordable it's worth it.
Don't replace grease with oil. There is a reason grease is there instead of oil...
@@danielmartins4367 oh yeah ik there is a reason. It is more affordable to just buy a new louder hub. But if ur planning on buying a new hub soonish than y not make ur hub louder with the short time you will use it.
@@shredditsbiking how’s it more affordable to buy a hub there expensive
as a mechanic i would NOT do this, these are wear parts they require grease for their longevity clearing that grease out is going to wear that free hub out in no time
The Grease acyuallys protects the ramps for the spring pawls, when there is no lubricant the
pawls they will scour the ramps removing the anodizing and eventually remove the ramps completely.
then there will be ZERO sound, and you WILL need a new hub.
🙈
dude, look at the cassete, theres too much friction from the spring 5:11
for the love of god please put a disclaimer
@Everyone Thanks for all the criticism. I understand this will wear down the Hub faster however im not making anyone do this just showing how it can ben done.
Thanks
Dude is it still working now with no greese or anything
@@CannondaleF700 Probably the pawls and the ratchet would fucked up
ima poor kid built a 2007 kona coiler dee-lux myself downhill ima trust you n try this out i’m just gonna leave some grease in there
GREAT IDEA DUDE
Please someone tell me why anyone would want this loud annoying clicking sound, I found the video as I want to get rid of it on Red Metal Zero Fulcrum wheel with Fulcrum 20mm oversize axle 2 to 1 spokes hub?
You must be a pro.. 😮.. Keep destroying your bikes.
Using WD40 is the worst thing you could have done. Good job.
Thank you very mutch i love this song in my bike
Why would you want it to be louder?
Muppet engineering if you ask me
Yes and then watch as the cassette locks up and throws you 30ft, all the while breaking a few bones you can live without for a few months
Bruh that happened to me to on a mountain going 230 km and shit I hade my seat to hight and the rear locked and ended up braking both my arms what a good way to decent it 😏
