Michael is just a legend, great to see him enjoying this generation Streetfighter as much as he did from the yellow SF848 he had years ago!
ive had this for 3 months and its a monster!!!! Just came back from Tail of the Dragon. She handled flawlessly.
Love my streetfighter V4SP, to those saying why not just get a panigale it's the comfort! I can ride my streetfighter for 6hrs no pain... try do that on a panigale 😂
Hows the dry clutch been for wear/heat? have you tried the motomillion clutch cover?
@@Albertalorian i use the standard open clutch cover that comes with the bike. Haven't had any overheating issues although I stay well clear of traffic jams, you'd have issues then. I've done 8,000km/5,000miles and haven't needed to change friction plates yet. Although a friend has done 10,000 miles and replaced his 3 times already but he often hits traffic so has to slip his alot
@@aligntrex700e thanks for the reply, the cover I was referring to is by Ducabike, apparently it’s supposed to help a lot.
I am glad that some people are clever enough to make machinery like this. The world is better for their existence.
You can't beat a BIT of a SLAPPER. 😂🤣😂🤣😭👍
The best naked bike for me is my 2019 Suzuki Katana. Its just SUPER!
Nice to see some lime green in the background !
Neevesy living the dream! 👍
FUN !!!
BRAVO DUCATI !
VIVA L’ITALIA !
great video, what would be great is the BMW M1000r competition test against the sp streetfighter Both have heap of carbon and power 🙏🙏
Great video, as always with Neevesy, but the editor guy needs to lay off colour the saturation control (@3:20, for example)
Trippy baby
Your personal helmet is arai all this years ,did you change with shoei? Congratulations for mcn always in top!
What a machine!
Great video as always. Tell us about those "pipes" on some of the shots. Another 7 grand upgrade on a 30 grand bike? If you have to ask, right.
Lovely. The original can is a design monstrosity. If the original exhaust looked like the aftermarket one, I might even buy one 😊
Akrapovic titanium exhaust prices are a bit out of control now, although there are other options. Personally, I prefer the look of the low-exit and particularly on the SF, but it is a little bit louder than the high-exit version.
My full high level Akra system is getting fitted whilst bike is off the road, exhaust is £7042+ up to 12 hrs fitting.
Loads of folk use other pipes and get them dyno'd or mapped to suit but the Akra system is developed in conjunction with Ducati from the offset so every single percent of every single gear in every single mode is tested, measured and mapped to suit, that's what your paying for, the development time, the absolutely perfect mapping and the exotic materials used in the exhaust itself. No aftermarket map will give you what you get from the Akra in conjunction with manufacturer, to me it's worth it.
It makes my bike a £40k bike but don't really care, it's what i wanted and i'll keep it.
Value will go down like a lead balloon initially but will recover and climb unlike the mass produced standard and S models.
Spot on, the sp streetfighters are cool, but the "regular" V4 or V4S are just better all around to have for the money. Case in point, the owner of a dealership I buy from rode my V4S streetfighter on track and loved it, decided to buy the SP version, and hated it. The fun, plushness, and ease of riding the V4S, were sort of ruined by making it more track-focused. It's like a high-performance SUV, sure they handle better and are faster...for an SUV but they still won't compare to a sports car, and these SPs almost seem like they are engineered to be something they're not. Great review as always!!!
That's a very interesting way to put it. Engineered to be something they are not
Not sure I understand why the SP would be any different to the V4S on track? The most significant differences are the wheels but the suspension is exactly the same. Other than that there’s the dry clutch and the rest is primarily cosmetic (rearsets, etc). Was your V4S a previous model year with different electronics?
@sp00ky1969 so the sp actually has a different electronic package to the suspension, meaning it is a different mapping, it is stiffer and Ducati claims it is a second faster around the track vs the v4s. Watch 44th review of the SP they talk about that. But that owner of the dealership didn't like how the quick shifter functioned (again different mapping than the v4s) and found the bike to be very "twitchy" compared to the v4s, making it difficult to be smooth on track.
@@oneonlyxram I wasn’t aware of a different mapping for the suspension. If that’s the case then I wonder why. I have the Panigale SP2 and I was unaware of any differences in suspension electronics to the V4S and it certainly doesn’t feel particularly stiff, even in Race B (I’ve not tried Race A yet). It’s adjustable as well of course so I’m not sure why that couldn’t be adjusted between track and road use.
Mate, you do know you're talkin absolute bollox don't you!
I have had a 20 V4S, a 21 V4S and now own a 23 V4 SP2 and the SP2 is leagues beyond the S. Suspension better set up for track, lighter carbon wheels, rearsets to aid ground clearance, panigale 22 sprung suspension plus full power mode.
V4s is what people go for when they can't afford the SP2 variant.
The V4s on standard setup is better on the road but the SP2 can be softened up in the settings.
Every test rider has gone a second a lap quicker on the SP version but somehow you and your dealer know better😂😂😂😂
Flipping Henry 🏁
Now that’s a garage 😊
Want one.
my dream bike....one day i shall own it😍😍🤑🤑
dope
B..e..a..utiful.
Not a bad day at the office neevsey
So what is the benefit of a numbered bike, if the production is not limited?
It’s just a peepee measuring contest at this point lmao, I’d be fine with a 08-16 fireblade lol
Depends how many get produced/bought. 🤷♂️
Not saying its ducati's fault. But we need to see some more affordable big bikes come out in the next few years. Wages are immovable but the prices of these bikes is just getting higher and higher.
Completely agree, but most people don't buy outright. they HP or PCP. there's a lot of people who cant afford a £30k ducati, but £400 a month is doable.
@@alexpryce555If you're financing a bike, you can't afford it to start with
@@alexpryce555 it just feels like I might as well sell my car and just ride this thing everyday if I’m paying that much money for a bike lol
@@countbrapcula-espana I bought 3 of my bikes on finance, because it was good for my credit rating, and no way i had 17 grand for a mts1200 but i did have 176 quid every month for 3 years.
@@countbrapcula-espana truth
Where I work, we can ask to 'shadow' someone from a different department... officially known as 'career development days'... any chance Neevesy? Mate?😂
Don’t understand the segment of ultra super naked. I get the naked segment for the street, but when you get to this level why not go full bore w a race bike + fairings.
Same here. At what point do you realize you have a bike that isn't optimal for what you're doing with it? If you do a lot of track days a fully faired sports bike is better. If all you do is ride on the street a naked that costs a lot less will do better than this thing.
Comfort!! Try riding a panigale for 6 or 8 hrs 😂
Was really looking forward to a more in depth review within the pages of MCN but not even a sniff of a mention anywhere within the last 6 issues.
Very disappointing.
It’s coming soon 👍
@@neevesybikes glad to hear it Mr Neeves, anyone would think folk value your opinion😉😂
Perfect bike for a little trip to the market and back. 👍🤪🏳️🌈
😂😂😂😂
I was very close to buying a Streetfighter V4S but then I realized I'd just be cruising the streets and would hardly ever use the power on that bike.
It was great on the streets honestly, the low-end grunt on the V4S made it very usable for the street. And it was comfortable so you could just ride all day.
Get the diavel v4
Or you could just get the base SF V4 (non S) and save about $5k and still have an amazing bike to ride around.
An extremely wealthy play thing. Who wouldn’t want one sitting in the garage ? Even if it was free your average rider wouldn’t be in a position to track it for the fear of having it slide down the track and the cost of a lesser bike to fix it.
$30,000?... sheesh. I'll stick with my '19 790 Duke. She sure is pretty though!
Pounds UK - GBP. 30595 = 40,000 us $
I am happy with my suzuki b King. More than most van handle. No Ducati required
Ducati actually handles tho 😂
@@mark675 i think you will be surprised how the b King handles. But its a bit heavy 💪
@@drzsgarage4556 well yeah it handles like a naked hayabusa,
I actually seen a Bking a few months back, guy had changed the exhausts and it looked really nice, wasn't well recieved back when it was launched was it but definately a rare and cool looking bike now
c'mon...............gotta at least give us a couple of up close earfulls of it .........a few throttle blips and a close up fly by or two............it's why i came here. wb
Unless you’re a dedicated track rider, it’s a total waste. Get the vanilla V4
If you’re a dedicated track rider then surely you’d want the Panigale instead of the SF. I think it’s called a Street Fighter for a reason - clue’s in the name. 😂
@@sp00ky1969 Agreed, but many like the upright position and still want to hit the track. The Streetfighter is a very capable track bike if you’re not looking for record lap times.
@@madrat5176 The ideal is one of each of course. And a cruiser. And… 😂
@@sp00ky1969 Of course 😂. I have a standard V4 Streetfighter and Suzuki GSX-R 750 for serious track days
@@madrat5176 Ideal! I’ve got a Panigale SP2 for track and a 2006 SportClassic for the road. The SportClassic is great fun but it does have a rather focussed riding position. Basically, no comfortable bikes in my garage at the moment. 🙈 I did consider the SF but wondered if it would be too similar to the Panigale as I wanted something less powerful for the road.
Nice bike but 30 grand...no bike is worth that
Dont see any beauty in that one.
Another irrelevant bike. Soon as I hear “special RR SP special” then the £10k+ price I switch off.
Lucky there are alot of people who can afford them then 😂
Why is it called Street fighter? Power hit is later in the power band. Shouldn't it be called Trackfighter?
