@@DK-vx1zc ,,,, it’s OK, it’s the thought that counts. I’m not in a rush to get there but I wish I knew just a little bit more. It’s hard to explain what I’m doing but I don’t know what I’m doing, if it makes sense. 😂
You admit to not being a machinist so why do you think the machine designers put the ant rotation pin in that spindle for the thrust shim? If the machine worked for that many decades why do you think you are a better machine designer, to be modifying the spindle? It was keyed for a reason. I'm not sure the spindle need the pin, but I look on the short term, where the designer looks on the long term with a lot of variables and it seems to have been justified.
3 years later, awesome video. Thanks for taking the time to make it.

Is that a Junior Model? I think the A B C models don't have the removable gear on the end of the spindle
19:25 did those bearings work out well? They look a little loose fitting on the ID.
Looking good!
Thanks Steve, 👍
I was hoping you were going to use your new shaper to take down the thickness on that spacer.
Thanks for watching Tom. Wish I was closer to you. I need an education on how to operate the shaper
