I'll always be a ef, eg or ek chassis guy for these reasons, the design of the newer models bar the latest fk8 always had a slight compromise. Let me know what you think below 👍
For me the design it’s completely subjective, it’s a matter of taste. But yes the FK8 doesn’t even really look like a Civic, it’s not for me... but the main thing for me it’s the engine and the whole true Type R experience. The best Type R ever it’s definitely the FD2, the car is virtually perfect 🤩 but I love my FN2 Championship Edition and the car looks special and different. With the right mods it turns into a true Type R also.
fk8 has +8° caster, fn2 has +7° caster, the ep3 caster sucks balls. the RBB k24A has an excellent head flow.
@@respirotyper929 FD2 is one of the best still have my Black facelift since 2010 and I still love it bought a fk8 70 plate last week and wow that handles like crazy if u can test drive the fk8 it will change your mind

They are both great cars, it’s a matter of taste and preference. Also the FN2 is way more practical, that plays a major role. I got 2 kids and the FN2 it’s my daily with absolutely no problem. The EP3 it’s more “Type R” from factory obviously.
But the FN2 got loads of potential regarding performance and looks with the right mods so for me FN2 all day.

Very nice video. It's worth mentioning that healthy fn2s have usually between 204-210hp. My fn2 when measured stock had 208hp.

True story, my car had 207hp full stock. 2010 Champion Edition.

I knew I recognised you, watched the EK9/EM1 video and here I am again! Was considering an EM1 for the same reason as you, nfs etc but I can only afford to have one car at the moment and I'm leaning to the Fn2 for the kit it you get in it etc, and the K20 haha.
Haha yeah the k20 is the engine of choice for sure but, if modification was on the cars, theirs not much between the two engines if you wanted to go all the way... for example, b series turbo cars have held the 1/4 records for years 👍😁 glad to hear your enjoying the content btw man, hope to see you again I the comments soon 👍
it took me 2yr's to pick one but i think the fn2 cleaner on the inside,look's better once a few cosmetic added.lets be honest the ep3 front end didn't age well lol
I love the styling of the fn2, its my favourite honda interior aswell except for the na1 nsx 👌
What car would you have to live with every day and what one is better on petrol or same?
I'd personally have neither and buy a civic ek or eg chassis. With a view to build a more raw and driver focused car. But thats my taste and not to everyone else's

Great video mate, I've owned both and I think they're both great cars.
I think if they hadn't altered the rear suspension setup on the FN2 it would have undoubtedly been a better car but the EP3 walks all over it when it comes to aggressive low speed cornering.
The FN2 is definitely a much nicer car to live with on a daily basis though and the interior is miles better than the EP3
Fully agree imagine if they'd have kept the weight down on the fn2 and went back to a multilink rear similar to the ek chassis. Now that would have been a cool type r. I always wanted the crz to be type r-d aswell
@@Dan_AYP now your talking 🤩 CR-Z. Honda released 300 CR-Z Mugen RZ's in 2013 for Japan only. They look awesome IMO 👌 🤩
rear contact patch doesnt mean much when the EP3 3 wheels around corners. caster on fn2 is +7° a big improvement on EP3. also moving the steering rack down on the fn2 is also a positive.
What about the steering ratio it's thee same with the Ep3?
Fn2 are getting more popular then what they where 10 years ago

@@joby4575 personally id buy a 2011 fn2 or newer (you get the lsd gearbox) plus they're a cool looking car imo. Alot more interior space than alot of other cars in the same bracket, the boots are huge. Price wise id just lay what they're going for 🤷♂️
