Happy New Year’s to you too friend here in New York up state is freezing definitely I’ll be watching this video over and over and over again because I had to do the same job, but not now it’s too cold. God bless you.
Great video, thanks Joe! Did you replace the valve cover gasket or apply sealant to it by chance? What torque specs did you use to reinstall the bolts? Thanks!
Very informative video thanks for posting!! I have a couple of questions. First the ribbon delete which kit did you go with and approx how much labor time is associated with that install? How many hours were on your ski when performed this and you found it to be loose? If you have a video doing this post a link and I'll definitely give it a watch. Also your blow off valve kit are you happy with it? How long do those take to install? What was your deciding factor for Fizzle vs the Riva kit? Have you done a supercharger clutch on yours yet? Really like how detailed your video is. Keep up the great work!
@@DrDemp sorry for the late reply I don't see these comments. Not my channel. 1. SVHO ribbon delete is a Riva & it's 2.5 hrs of labor 2. Less than 5 hrs while still doing break in. Symptoms were indicating a restriction in the air intake. 3. Blow off with hose takes the same time as a ribbon delete because you must drill & tap a fitting for a boost reference line. Usually done at the same time to avoid double labor. 4. With a simple blow off hose Fizzle or Riva are the same. Use a 50mm Tial BOV. The unbranded or counterfeit ones stick & the 35mm is too small. Some people prefer the sound of the 35mm HKS BOV but I go with performance over sound. 5. The GP has 12 hrs now & I expect to get at the least 250 hrs before doing a super charger. 2022 has a 27 tooth sprag when combined with throttle control & a BOV last up to 300 hrs. Hard deceleration causes premature sprag failure. I am a Drdemp youtube fan so please continue with your channel. You definitely need a way to contact you off channel. Get FB & messenger.
@@JeTsKi_MiSfItSmakes sense. I appreciate that man. I got an upgrade from JLP for my 2018 1800 and it came with titanium retainers but no new spring or spring seat so I found this very interesting. Thanks again! The only thing is I wouldn’t know where to buy them, or how to make sure they fit my engine. I went to supertech site and they don’t have Yamaha as one of the options to chose. I don’t if they have a different branch that deals just with Jetskis or anything. Would you mind shining some light on that? I appreciate ya!
Injectors don't need to be removed from the intake manifold unless you are a sloppy mechanic. Lol Then you do remove them to keep them clean from plastic and metal shavings. The ribbon comes out with a little patience if it's tight. Most aren't tight. No need to drill the ribbon out. If you are adding a boost reference line place a rag in the nearest port to keep shavings from the injectors before drilling. Spray with injector cleaner, air blow off & wipe down before assembly.
Every ribbon delete that I have done has been popped out by hand with a good amount of force or easily pushed out. None have been so tight that they had to be drilled. I'm sure some are tight but I have yet to find one I can't remove in one piece by hand.
Best video for doing retainers so far!
Thank you!

What would’ve happened had you only replaced the retainers and not the springs? Thanks!
@@dre3809 that's like changing your oil without changing your oil filter

@Rob Chancleta, where did your brother get that cubby Yamaha fork decal? It looks awesome!
He made it from vinyl wrapping material
@@JeTsKi_MiSfItS You guys should sell them, seriously. I want one!
@@Mike-xn1bh problem is that it's not a sticker. It's wrap so I'm sure people wouldn't install it correctly and get alot of complaints

No need to remove all the spring caps and shims at once. Do them one at a time and there's ZERO CHANCE of misplacing them.
What is the purpose of the retainer and the spring?
To get a tune over 8700 Rpms and not blow up
👍💪
where did you get the glove box sticker?
From his printer. It's a cutter for vinyl wrap

Didn't count the hours. Someone like JP racing that does this frequently probably has this narrowed down to 2-3hrs
WHAT blow off valve did you buy ?
This is a cheap temporary BOV i gave him just while testing. Fizzle tial is what I run on my FX svho
