Julie Andrews plays the grandmother in this. She also played Mary Poppins and Maria in the sound of music. And Mandy Moore (rapunzel) played the mean girl in this. Also the scene where Anne Hathaway fell on the bleachers wasn’t scripted, she actually fell & they played it off so they decided to keep it in. The way I clicked on this video so fast when I saw you posted this is insane. lol 😂 Love this movie! It’s so so extremely good! Grew up watching this, brings back so many great memories watching this with my cousins at our grandparents house and with my friends at one of our houses. I’ve always wanted to be a princess when I was little. I remember after watching this movie I asked my mum if I was an actual princess. Would love for you to watch the sequel for a video!😆 Love the videos! You do an amazing job!
I second everything you have to watch the second one! It has Raven Simone in it😊 also Mandy was big in the late 90s early 2000 around the time of Britney and Christina I recommend checking out a few songs.
Dame Julie Andrews plays another queen as Fiona’s mum in Shrek. She’s also the voice of Gru’s mum in Despicable Me. I’ve grown up on her films so I’m a big fan
Mandy Moore (the mean girl) was one of my favorite singers when I was a teen. When she started acting, I remember being so excited. A Walk to Remember is one of my favorite Mandy Moore movies. You should check that one out, too. She plays another mean girl in 2004 movie called Saved. And voices and sings for Rapunzel in Disney's Tangled. She is also in that show This Is Us.
But even in that she is far more sympathetic and I think it's because they knew Mandy had that nice girl rep and vibe(he even picked up on it in the video without even knowing who she was. Which I think is funny.)
Julie Andrews is a living legend. This movie came out in my birth year and I watched the heck out of this and the sequel They’re discussing a 3rd one finally that’s why you recognize the meme
i never understood why mia's supposed best friend in this treated her that way when she got a makeover, she didnt have to say all those mean things just because she changed her looks... like u said she's still just the same person, only with enhanced beauty yk? 🥺
I think it was the director's miss use of trying to condense the tension that built up between them. Because in the book mia had been doing the princess lessons for like a couple of months before the make over and Mia had been blowing her off every time and not explaining why.
My grandma took me to see this in theaters when I was a kid and the relationship between Mia and Clarisse always reminded me of us. She just passed away 2 months ago so I haven't been able to rewatch the movie yet. I think I can get through your reaction though. 💕
What blows my mind even more is that THE Walter Elias Disney ✨himself✨ chose Julie to be Mary Poppins and put production on hold for monthsssss because when she auditioned she found out she was pregnant and he wanted to give her proper time postpartum to recover before putting in so many hours filming such an innovative movie. She was just that good. He refused to have anyone else play the part he’d chosen especially for her
My daughter’s friend did that to her when we had her hair done. They were all emo group type and my daughter wanted her hair highlighted and bangs. So I took her to an amazing salon and it looked absolutely beautiful. The next day one of the girls gave her crap about. Said “who ruined your hair” she was feeling beautiful that morning and in an instant that girl made her feel like crap. She was 12 at the time. She’s 14 now…different school, different friends and she’s loving life. You have to choose wisely who you want to surround yourself with. Girls are mean! Luckily she’s in a much happier place right now and her hair is still looking fabulous 🩷
The main bully is a singer and she is also in another movie called "A Walk to Remember" and she is the complete opposite in that movie lol I think you would like it it has a beautiful message and she also sings in it.
Every time someone says something along the lines of, "Who is that, do I know her from somewhere?" when THE Julie Andrews graces the screen, I die a little inside.
There is a Princess Diaries 2, and it is just as good if not better!!! Do it! This is a great series❤❤❤ Was a favorite of mine growing up. Thanks for doing it!
The sequel is amazing :) Princess Diaries: the royal engagement - As for the grandma: Julie Andrews is a legend. She is Mary Poppins, She plays Maria in Sound of Music, she is the voice of Lady Wistledown in Bridgerton, I think she also voiced the Queen in Shrek, in the minions she's Gru's mother, ... . - Mandy Moore (Lana "the bully") is also amazing, she has some great movies to her name like A Walk To Remember, Tangled, Chasing Liberty, Scrubs, ... but she is known as a singer as well, she has quite a few albums. - Also you may know the principal Sandra Oh from Grey's anatomy, Turning Red, Under the tuscan sun, .... - Erik von Detten (Josh "the jerk") you may know him from the Brink movie, the remake of Dinotopia, So Weird, National Lampoon's, i think he voiced a kid in Recess, .... he was quite the catch in the earlier years.
20:54 it was Anne Hathaway’s idea for the brush to break. 27:14 the whole thing with the vice principal was she can take care of anything at the school to make things just right. 27:52 that wasn’t scripted she accidentally slipped and they left it in. 29:15 it was scripted that she was supposed to dunk his arm in the ice but it didn’t go out so she improvised throwing the water on it. 30:50 the white haired waiter was also a waiter in “Pretty Woman” another Garry Marshall movie along with Hector Elizondo(Joe), Kathleen Marshall(Charlotte) & Larry Miller (Paulo). 36:59 it was all the bad kisses she had.
Funny how you thought Lana wasn't pulling off being a bully very well. You do know the actress. That's singer Mandy Moore. She is the voice of Rapunzel in Disney's Tangled. She also plays the main character in "A Walk to Remember." In that movie, her wallflower/good-girl character is the opposite of a bully.
The limo driver has been in serval things, my favorite was him as the hotel manager in Pretty Woman. He was also in Chicago Hope along with the TV show Last Man Standing with Tim Allen.
30:44 I've believed dude wanted more grapes and wasn't getting noticed, then someone's grapes ricocheted off the painting of grapes and onto his plate. That's why he laughed so much! I could be wrong, but that's what my 12 year old brain thought at the time of the film's release...
The blond bully is Mandy Moore. And she does sing aswell in real life as well in the movie. Yes, there is a 2ns part to it... starting Chris Pine. I loved both movies. And Anne was 17 in this and also her star to fame.
I’m so glad you’re enjoyed this! I never really read the book but this was my first Anne Hathaway movie and yeah I’m a big fan! Fun fact: When Anne Hathaway went to audition for the role, she literally fell out of the chair during the audition and right there is when the director knew that she was their Princess Mia of Genovia. Also I love Julie Andrews! I think my favorite part has always been where Mia and her Clarisse have a day out, and she is educated on the meaning of shut up in the teenage language. Joe is certainly the MVP; the moment when Mia fell on the bleachers, Héctor Elizondo was genuinely concerned as that moment was not scripted. I really recommend you watch the sequel as it’s not only funny, but as charming and empowering. Other Anne Hathaway films I recommend are Les Misérables, The Devil Wears Prada, Get Smart, The Hustle, Rohan Dhal The Witches (2020), Ocean 8, and The Idea Of You. For more Julie Andrews I must recommend Eloise at the Plaza, Eloise at Christmas, and Tooth Fairy. For Héctor Elizondo, I recommend Pretty Woman, Runaway Bride, Tortilla Soup, Batman: Mystery of the Batwoman, and The Lego Batman Movie. If you’re also looking for a good romcom with royalty I highly recommend Red, White and Royal Blue. I also recommend the series Young Royals. 👩🏻🦱👑📔✍🏻🩵💛🖤🤍
I went to schools that had uniforms and also no uniform. I loved not having to wear them but I liked the fact that uniforms were something everyone had to wear together and it was easier to get dressed in the morning
There's a Pride and Prejudice tv series that the BBC did with Colin Firth, and there's a 2005 movie with Kiera Knightly! Both are well loved, I would definitely recommend the 2005 movie for the channel! I would also really recommend The Sound of Music for another amazing Julie Andrews movie. She used to have an absolutely INCREDIBLE singing voice back in the day, prior to a surgery that damaged her vocal chords.
Mandy Moore(Lana) had a singing career in the early 2000s and was also queen of the teen movies in that era as well. She has acted off and on since then, but her latest big hit was the role of Rebecca Pearson on This is Us.
There is a sequal and the grandmother is Dame Julie Andrews (royal title given by Queen Elizabeth i believe(?)), one of the first ladies of cinema ❤❤ and she recently confirmed that she would be happy to make a third movie with Ann Hathaway who, btw, said Andrews taught her a lot and essentially showed her the ropes during the filming of the first movie.
One of my favorite movies of all time. It's fun, it's simple and inspiring at the same time for a real life invisible shy girl like me when I was at school. AND YES, Joe is the best and evereyone's favorite character.
Next to the Golden Gate Bridge, the TransAmerica Pyramid is the next most notable landmark in San Francisco! My sister, neice and I watched this movie in a theater in San Leandro CA. When the trolly driver said he was from San Leandro, there was a huge cheer from the audience.
24:40 "Pride and Prejudice. I gotta watch that. Isn't there a movie called Pride and Prejudice or something like that?" Yes, sir, there is! Keira Knightly is in it.... and Jena Malone, who is in Hunger Games as Joanna.
27:49 Fun Fact! That fall on the bleachers was All Real. Anne fell by mistake and her reaction and Lilly's (Heather's) and even Joe's (Hectors) is 100% authentic. They were worried she was hurt but Anne laughing as Mia made it comedic so they used that take for the film.
So the mean girl is Mandy Moore, she's a singer as well and I would love if you react to a really nice movie with her, "A walk to remember" I think you'll like it a lot
I can't wait for you to react to the second movie! You need to watch Pride and Prejudice! It's so frustrating you not understanding who Mandy Moore is, she played the mean girl, and she also voices Rapunzel in Tangled
My favorite kind of tea depends on what time of day it is. In the morning when I need caffeine to face the day, then English breakfast. At night, when I'm trying to wind down, either sleepytime OR peppermint & creamy vanilla. I also enjoy different kinds of chai now and again.
I had uniforms, it was harder for the school to get kids to wear their uniform properly and not uniquely. It often got in the way of class time and school work! Cant stop kids from expressing themselves!!
I am so so glad you finally watched this movie! "The Queen is Coming" was mainly used on tiktok from what I remember. I think it was more popularly used last year than this year. I still see it sometimes pop up on my FYP but not as often anymore. I'm happy you were able to recognize most of the cast! It was one hell of a stacked cast and there's a second movie too! The second one my not be on UA-cam, but it's on Disney Plus!
Mandy Moore played the mean girl. She also had a starring role in A Walk To Remember, which you should definitely watch it is one of my favorites. She also played Rapunzel in Tangled.
I went in to get my permanent retainer fixed, and nobody in the orthodontist office knew what a permanent retainer even was. Apparently, it's an outdated treatment option.
Ngl, when I was a teen, I only wanted to see this movie because of the actor playing the pretty boy crush. Ended up loving the friends brother and having this be one of my favorite movies.
I went to catholic school until 3rd grade. I lived too close to the school so I got to walk about a mile with my sister in those skirts. Ours were blue and green with white shirt and blue sweater. Us girls were NOT allowed to wear pants. Even in the winter. 😢
You could never make me like Lily. Like you start going in on your supposed to be best friend because she straighten her hair and put in contacts you start talking down at her like degrading her made her cry in the car. You really got onto her the entire car ride. Was ready to throw y’all friendship bracelet in the dirt but as soon as she says, I’m a princess everything changes and you happy now. Get to school and you defending her against people for talking about her when you literally just did the same thing saying well I think it looks cool like no you don’t. You already showed your true colors. You didn’t like it. Like you only accepted the small changes in Mia once you could figure out a way for it to benefit you. Lilly is a fake friend and that’s how I feel and that’s how I’ve always felt and I will probably always feel this way.💯
If you like this, then you will like the sequel, Princess, Diaries 2: Electric Boogaloo. I’m just kidding with the title. But it’s a cute movie, and it has some really famous faces in it! And Julie Andrews, the grandmother/queen, is a global treasure! So much so that in the sequel she made the Teamsters that were working on the movie cry. So yeah… she is an absolute legend. 💙💙💙
You HAVE to watch the sequel! Both movies are great & quotable. Mandy Moore (the bully) is blonde in this one but in all other things I’ve seen her in she’s brunette. She plays the voice of Rapunzel from Tangled and the mom from the show This Is Us.
Yes definitely watch pride and prejudice there’s a show and movie adaptation both are good but I definitely recommend the movie if u don’t want to watch a series
I was going to tell you that Mandy Moore was the voice of Rapunzel in Tangled but then I looked through your videos and I didn't see Tangled. I thought you had watched it. Anyways if you haven't along with the 2nd Princess Dairies you should also watch Tangled it is one of my absolute favorites.
OMG, It's so cool that you watched this! 😍 I admit I may have had a bit of a crush on Joe as a kid. 😂🫶 Anyone else here? Oh, and the Queen is Julie Andrews, one of the best English actresses of this century.
Great reaction! I was obsessed with this book series as a kid and this film is such a comfort for me ❤️ also love the 2nd one so I hope you give that one a shot. There’s also rumours of a 3rd one now that everyone is older but I don’t know how true that is. Also, the bully is Mandy Moore, actress and singer.
Watch A walk to remember! The bully in this movie is the protagonist in that movie and it’s so good!! Her name is Mandy Moore she started off as a singer but started acting and she’s gotten better but a walk to remember was one of her 1st movies she was in and I never realized how I don’t think of those 2 characters as the same person. She’s the bully in this movie but the one being bullied in the other one.
I would love to see you react to the 2nd movie, I enjoyed that one a lot. It is an entirely different story and setting but with all the characters we love and some new people to enjoy. Ofcourse you decide what you want to do or not, I am just saying that I would like it if you would watch it and I think you would like it too. Loved your reaction on this movie and stay healty :)
So make your own pizza with what you can have. It can have salad on after it's cooked. I use flat wraps like tortillas, basil pesto, pink salmon and white cheese like buffalo mozzarella, Torn up. I have two wraps one goes soggy, the other crispy. Can you have rotisserie chicken? Put some bbq sauce on, add chunks of chopped cooked chicken, then a little grated cheese. Then you are done, cook half an hour. Pizza can be heathy too.
Jute’s there is a sequel and yes you will love it if you love this. Julie Andrew’s is Mary Poppins and Many Moore (the bully) was at the time of the movie a singer was trying to branch out and be an actress. She is in another move called “A Walk to Remember”, sad but good movie
Pride and prejudice actually has a movie version but its different than the book, The time period in the film was changed from 1813 to 1790s, because the director wanted to show england after the french revolution, you can react tobit next if you want.
Losing a parent is the worst. BIG FACTS. Lost my pops in October last year. I still can't believe he's gone. He was truly the very best man I've ever known. Humble, generous and kind as anyone you'll meet. Couldn't even type those few sentences about him without crying like a baby again.
I’m definitely going to need you to do the second film & also if you haven’t seen it yet The Intern with Anne & Robert De Niro super cute not what you would expect
Yes there is a sequel called 'Tbe Princess Diaries 2: The Royal engagement'. It came out in 2004.
Mandy is also from tangled
@@andreadeamon6419 I know that’s what I said that’s why I put (rapunzel) after Mandy Moore because that’s her character’s name in the film tangled.
Mandy Moore (the mean girl) was one of my favorite singers when I was a teen. When she started acting, I remember being so excited. A Walk to Remember is one of my favorite Mandy Moore movies. It's my favorite line from this film alongside "Oh for the love of GOD"😂
Julie Andrews is a living legend. This movie came out in my birth year and I watched the heck out of this and the sequel They’re discussing a 3rd one finally that’s why you recognize the meme
Birth year took me out omg
@@AstroBaby91 it came out 2001 the year I was born
I do door dash and every time I walk on a lawn I hear that recording in my head. I avoid walking on others grass because of this movie Iol
I got it from my german neighborhood, old people get mad when it comes to their lawn
@@B363 really, good to know lol. No one around here seems to care but I still hear it in my head

she deserves a better friend
I think it was the director's miss use of trying to condense the tension that built up between them. Because in the book mia had been doing the princess lessons for like a couple of months before the make over and Mia had been blowing her off every time and not explaining why.
My grandma took me to see this in theaters when I was a kid and the relationship between Mia and Clarisse always reminded me of us. She just passed away 2 months ago so I haven't been able to rewatch the movie yet. I think I can get through your reaction though. 💕
God bless Bud 💕🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Keep your head way up!
Sorry dear. Sending love your way
Watching the grandma in this knowing she’s Mary Poppins is such a mind blast even years later!! ❤

This movie is based on a book series and they're 14 books total. Disney got the movies rights even before the first book was published back in 2000.
The main bully is a singer and she is also in another movie called "A Walk to Remember" and she is the complete opposite in that movie lol I think you would like it it has a beautiful message and she also sings in it.

The sequel is amazing :) Princess Diaries: the royal engagement
- As for the grandma: Julie Andrews is a legend.

The song is called Supergirl, and it was sung by Krystal Harris.
Mandy Moore voices Princess Rapunzel in Tangled (that’s probably why you know her)

I really hope you do the sequel! That one is my absolute favorite! First one is nostalgic but I have always loved the second one!!
I've seen this movie at least 10 times and I never knew Whitney Houston produced it until this video!
Yes there's a sequel, check it out.
Lilly is a fake friend and that’s how I feel and that’s how I’ve always felt and I will probably always feel this way.💯
Your random 1-liners is my brain throughout the day.
One of my favorite movies!! I can quote the lines! So nostalgic.
Yes this was a trilogy of princess diaries, the queen is Dame Julie Andrews.."sound of music "&the original "Mary Poppins ".
That fall on the bleachers was real lol anne really did fall and just rolled with it lol
“would you like to slide in for me” is crazy 😂🫣
The opening song is supergirl by krystal harris
Not him saying he can't wait to curtsey! LOL😂
You HAVE to watch the sequel! Both movies are great & quotable.
Mandy Moore (the bully) is blonde in this one but in all other things I’ve seen her in she’s brunette. She plays the voice of Rapunzel from Tangled and the mom from the show This Is Us.
I’ve seen this movie dozens of times. & was today years old when I found out Whitney produced it. I always fast forward the credits😂
the fall on the bleachers was not in the script lol
ICON Julie Andrews...Sound of Music, Mary Poppins????
Plus I am surprised more People don't recognize Mandy Moore
Yes definitely watch pride and prejudice there’s a show and movie adaptation both are good but I definitely recommend the movie if u don’t want to watch a series
The Princess Diaries 2 goes a little harder for me than the first and I get down both. But you not knowing who Julie Andrews is was a little wild lol.
That hwo sings is Mandy Moore & she also sings . And that is Julie Andrews a legend ❤
Also the mean girl is Mandy Moore, she is the voice of Rapunzel in Tangled.
This is one of the rare moments when the movie is actually better than the book....
You kept stopping it during the first song, so it kept saying “I am soup” 😂 I love it
Watch A walk to remember!
There is a sequel, and it is good! It has a lot of the original cast in it!
Julie Andrew's is so classy love her to pieces y'all hooo and Anne seems to never get old she's so funny and fun
Jute’s there is a sequel and yes you will love it if you love this. Julie Andrew’s is Mary Poppins and Many Moore (the bully) was at the time of the movie a singer was trying to branch out and be an actress. She is in another move called “A Walk to Remember”, sad but good movie
I went to a masquerade ball while I was attending The Vampire diaries convention in Covington ga with some of the actors.
I’m definitely going to need you to do the second film & also if you haven’t seen it yet
The Intern with Anne & Robert De Niro super cute not what you would expect
“He took my whole smile away” 😂
