"...boxed, like Proust". I love how she goes from 'trumped up occupational therapy' to 'box set', heh. I also love how the dust sheets are probably 800 count pure linen and prettier than most regular sheet sets. And I love Vera's dress! "How do you turn her off?" Favorite movie of all time!
Genius acting and screenplay and characters! I first saw this movie in the '60's on TV and never forgot the scenes and dialog. As I've gotten older I have come to recognize how cultural subversive this movie was in the 1950's.
_Chapter 1, Page 1. Well Lindsey, this isn't so difficult..._ _Patrick get me another drink. Let me see, where was I? What are you writing?_ Pure poetry. And imagine... boxed like Proust! Cheers!

Peggy Cass was nominated for a Supporting Actress Oscar wasn't she? She was brilliant.
Yes and also a Golden Globe Award in the same category.
I loved her final scene when she remembers suddenly that she wasn’t at a movie but she had gotten married to the gigolo.
Mame could you gone to purple by now 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Vera: "Think of all the fascinating people you've known: Winston Churchill, Mahatma Gandhi, Me . . ."
Gotta love Vera!
I love when her roots shows up in her voice…”how do you turn her off”….”are we all lit?”
You send her to the kitchen for a Dr. Pepper.
I'm your sponge is such a great and memorable line ❤
Rosalin Russell should have won the Oscar for Antie Mame! It is still incredibly funny! Tim Rasico M.D.
Don't forget the maps and the Martini's!
