Why are many police officers rude and fail to be polite and cordial, especially when failures of their policies, law and regulations are pointed out to them? Very unprofessional and not the standard of public service that is required, when acting as a police officer.
It's largely down to a fairly widespread human trait which was highlighted very clearly by the Stanford Prison Experiment ... AND ... the fact that virtually everyone who makes a complaint against Lazy, Incompetent, Corrupt and Unprofessional cops puts their complaint to the gatekeepers rather than STRAIGHT to the Chief Constables who are ULTIMATELY responsible whenever THEY fail to adequately Train, Monitor and Discipline their subordinates !
When the first Police Commissioners came into being, ours was interviewed on local radio which held a phone in. I was scheduled to be number one but was delayed because a police officer (on duty) wanted to talk first. He asked, “ can you buy us wellies please, you’ve bought us brand new cars. But we are not able to chase anyone in muddy conditions”.
The Height of the pull cords rings are... The system must comply with section 4.30 (e) which says the pull cord must be red, located close to the wall with two red bangles to hold. The bangles should not reach the floor but be located 100 mm / 10cm from the floor (the second 800-1000mm (80cm - 1 metre) mm from the floor.
Great work on the TBL gang badge... In this day and age of two tier policing, it's totally inappropriate for a police officer wearing a defaced British flag..not forgetting that Carrick and Couzens wore that badge with pride.

I don't understand thhe fuss over the badges. It appears that the badges WERE from a charity, I can't remember which one, bit like the poppy which officers are also allowed to wear. When I looked there are also versions of the badge for the fire service (with a red line) and ambulance (green line). Sadly the badges are now available commercially with no charitable contribution.
I have made a complaint over the rude PC in this video. me and a friend, i'm 64 and she is 55, are both disabled and were incensed to hear that pleb remark that " it is their problem" should any person collapse on the floor and not be able to reach the pull cork handle because the heights were illegally too high. also i noticed he used the excuse for not informing you and videoing you "in case you did'nt like being interrupted" then the fool go's on to interrupt you when you were trying to explain the importance of the emergency pull cord legality. hypocrite with over inflated ego. the first stage of the complaints department phoned me back the next day after my initial complaint, the female officer gave me her name and asked me how i wanted it dealt with, i said she should watch the video without him then he should have to watch it with her and afterwards asked if he could see anything wrong with his behaviour and attitude and would he do anything different next time and learn anything from it. i asked for "local resolution" and the cop said it go's to them first before professional standards. we had a half hour conversation about auditing and UK police which she said she found very enlightening.

For clarification, the regulations state that "The cord should be easily reachable from the toilet and floor area, ideally trailing across the floor. One bangle should be between 800 mm and 1000 mm high, and the other should be 100 mm above the floor". This is according to the BS8300:2009 regulations.
Everyone of these Police persons were total amateurs so why are we paying for them. I cannot think of any reason why Management do not revue their employees ability to carry out their jobs.

I've watched several you tube reports off police overstepping their authority and they make things up as they go along. These officers need to be retrained on customer service. NPD is in every police force. The police aren't fit for purpose anymore and we need to monitor and prosecute officers more intensely. If they are found to be wrong they should pay all the fines and any costs. They have pocket sergeant and radio contact with people who should know.

Being a real pedant - You may want to re-check the heights of the toilet pull cords. I believe it is 100mm (lower) and 800-1000mm (upper) from the floor. They were wrong though so the point is still valid. Those two PC's were a appalling in their attitude and lack of knowledge.
