    Get up Zerchers are crazy. Imagine trying to grapple and scramble against that strength in wrestling or grappling jujitsu etc.

    Not only does it have to be the heaviest situp ever recorded, that's definitely one of the coolest variations I've seen and I do Lots of getups. Honestly lol who thinks of that, yet it is a great idea. Absolutely brilliant. It certainly can fill in some gaps, not just physically but neurologically in the nervous system

    Get Ups are the sole exercise recommended to my Grand Mother in her retirement community, 25 everyday in the AM and PM, not quite as intense as Brian.

    How would you approach strength training for bjj?
    Getting really mixed ideas some saying to do higher rep work to build more muscular endurance / others saying to stick in the 3-5 rep range to maximise strength to weight ratio.
    I know you have experience in this field so would love to hear what you have to say!

    Yeah, I'd F this one up with any more than 155.
    Either drop the bar or fall forward.
    The axle bar would be a must, a regular bar would cut off the circulation.

      A lot of the ones out now are very light stretch cotton. They're more flexible than a lot of the athletic pants. They used to look weird, but now they look like normal jeans. If this was a new pair of the thick denim, that would be rough.

      Less pain on the crook of your elbow due to the thicker bar spreading the weight over a bigger surface
