Oh Gina I totally agree to let your meat lay out and come to room temperature before you cook it. I even let my ground beef "warm up" and get soft before I cook it. I love beef stew! My mom's was soooooo good. Hers had carrots, celery, onions, potatoes and homemade dumplings. I since have added mushrooms, sometimes sweet potatoes and zucchini.
