This channel always feels like UA-cams best-kept secret. It's an incredibly special, magical place and I always love to sit and watch these. Please never stop doing what you do.
When walking in snow sounds like walking on polystyrene, you know the temperature is below -20F. Everybody watching this, let's drink our coffee at the same time as Erik! Sköl!
Shô, the sun on those trees was amazingly beautiful! I'm in a wheelchair for 7 years now after a diving accident in the mountains. Thank you Eric for taking me along for this privileged adventure, you are a God sent! Love all your videos!! I can't lift my thumb because of limited hand function but I drink my coffee with you and imagine I'm there with you, love and appreciation from George, South Africa.
Erik, few people in the entire world get to see, let alone venture, into such magnificent and incredible wilderness. The views were spectacular! That brief moment of video showing the outside of the cabin with the interior lit by the fire was something hitherto I thought only existed on the canvases of brilliant artists! Thanks for sharing your adventure and artistry with us.
Hello Erik, another two thumbs up. Awesome winter photography. You really capture the beauty of mother nature's winter time. Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful video. Take care and be safe. 🤗
I can only conclude that people who give Erik's videos a thumbs down are from my part of the world, Downunder. And a Downunder thumbs down equates to a Northern Hemisphere thumbs up.
Thanks a lot for your generosity in sharing this journey. The views are amazing. I also understand that recording all this footage must have added extra difficulty to an already challenging journey.
Amazingly beautiful winter sceneries in this you very well edited and high quality YT Video! Thank you so very very much Erik! You keep delivering so much inspiration and sharing the unique beauty of a nature that is pristine and untouched by human hand! Make me wish to follow your route into the deep forest of Muddus National Park in Lappland! Thumbs up!
These video's are totally amazing to watch...these are places I've never seen with my very own eyes...thankyou for posting them ✌ ALL THE WAY FROM USA NEW YORK CITY
Your videos, like this one in particular, deserves so many more views. The quality is great, your style positively unique, and the scenery and photo simply amazing.
Absolutely gorgeous sight, love the look of this cabin shelter in all this snow. Roaring big fire too, a charming idyllic sight inside. love the video Erik travel well & cheers
Wow! Love the photography! Also, I really like hearing more from you, as opposed to the totally silent videos Glad I decided to go back and watch your older videos! 👍🏻🇨🇦
Beautiful winter scenes! Great hut-to-hut skiing trip. Very good pulk pole setup. I like X'd poles for ease in turning corners. At the x area I use a rubber O-ring to keep the poles together. I bolted aluminum angle fins on the bottom of my pulk at the rear to keep it from sliding sideways on turns and hillsides. This video show people how efficient a pulk is in rolling terrain. Unfortunately here in Nevada's mountains I have to use shorter, wider Telemark skis and climbing skins and a large pack. Plus above 7,000 ft. the air is thin and effort is greater. So nice to have a cabin in which to relax and be warm overnight. Thanks Erik, for another great winter camping video.
That's something else that my sea kayak trips, but very inspiring and amazingly beautiful! I love those snowy forest and the way you walk and even sleep in them. Great video.
Erik, thank you for once again taking us on an absolutely amazing journey. Filled with sights, sounds and a heightened sense that allowed us to almost feel what you were experiencing. So beautifully done, you are an inspiration to me! Keep doing what you are doing. Daniel
Wonderful video, I miss those days when I was much younger. Crisp snow and air so cold it takes your breath away. You know, you are alive and not just existing within the conformity of our modern societies. Keep producing videos like these and you will have lived a life of purpose.
aren't they common? In Finnish they are called ahkio, in Swedish ackja and they are commonly used in winter trekking. A lot more comfortable than a big backpack and you don't get a sweaty back. They aren't called sleds, or well at least both Finnish and Swedish make a distinction between a sled=pulkka(fin)/pulka(swe) and ahkio/ackja. And just a side note Finnish and Swedish aren't related, both pulkka and ahkio are Finnish words and the Swedish language has borrowed them, Swedish doesn't have own words for them.
Really a high-quality video that is worth watching multiple times! Very good to see the way you give room to the silence and sound of nature. Thank you!
Hi Erik, I love watching your videos they really evoke the special feeling of camping out. I have been wondering about all the cottages and huts you have stayed in in your videos. Perhaps you could make a video to tell us more about them: are they free, do you book, is there an association that looks after them or are they privately owned, what are the rules for use etc? As I am sure you know in Britain we have some bothies are they similar to these? I would love to know more.
I have added translation for the non-english part, if you click the cc tab in the player. Atb

I love it how you resist music. thank you
And the little music he does use is quiet, calm and almost experimental electronica.
I love your "coffee moment"
Love it.....
You can tell by the way the snow is creaking that it is really cold. I get chilly listening to it.
Definatly one of the best outdoor videos i have seen so far.
Absolutely love the little cottage!🏠❄
Tack Erik för att Du tar oss med på Dina äventyr.
Hälsningar Magdalena

It really does add difficulty... Many shots have required Erik to double-back quite a distance to get himself in the shot..
