Excellent ! A video that includes the audio is RARE on UA-cam.Thanks for not adding musical noise like so many others. 👍 Hearing what we are seeing is nice! I feel like I was there 🤗
With all the North American 'Thru-Hike' people all over UA-cam banging on throughout the whole video about their 'baseload' and 'dry weight' and Dyneema products, it is incredibly refreshing to watch Erik's videos and just enjoy the incredible sights and sounds he captures so artfully. Erik encapsulates the thing I miss the most about living in Europe (I am an Aussie from Melbourne who lived in Germany for a few years), and that's the way Europeans just don't talk unless they truly need to, unlike North Americans who turn every video into a gear review or verbose opinion piece about the surrounding area. Additionally, Erik actually gets off the beaten path and uses a compass and topographic maps, unlike the North Americans who just 'thru-hike' down well-worn paths such as the Appalachian or Pacific Crest Trail - I've studied a few of the locations Erik has shared in the video description, and these places are no-joke locations NOT for the rookie hiker accustomed to paths and helpful signage along the way. A few of Erik's videos showcase treks that exceed 50km through tough terrain with no vehicle access, taking all of the food he needs for those 96-120 hours of trekking (fresh, drinkable water is plentiful in Sweden).
There is nothing more relaxing after a long day of walking, then a cozy tent, a cup of your favorite beverage, a nice book and it starts to softly rain. Good times.
If you're wondering about the incredibly remote nature of the landscape Erik is trekking through in this video, well, the below link will take you to the bus stop he began his five-night hike - goo.gl/maps/uHdTGeXeF3LwdoNz6
The heather, the lichen, moss, birch and evergreen trees. Water everywhere! Watching your videos over the past few years has made me fall in love with your part of the world.
I like that there was no commentary except for the morning coffee, it gives a sense of silence and nature sounds when you are on your own. Perfect way to escape routine life.
Autumn colours and the winds of change. Different light, chill in the air; the vegetation smells earthy. Soon the sound of snow crunching under boot. 🍁🍂
All of us who love Erik’s videos-we come from different countries, have different stories of our own to tell, different problems on our shoulders. But none of that matters, because we can all understand and share the joy of a hot cup of coffee. Cheers! ☕️
I have seen a lot of your videos. You show us awesome pictures of fall in Sweden. You should get a medal for your work from your country. I would give you the gold medal for it.
Japan is about to enter autumn, but it seems that northern Sweden is already heading for winter. Please be careful about your physical condition and continue to take beautiful scenery.
🍀🐞🍄 Hello Erik, as always a very nice video (unfortunately too short). Thank you for all the work and for the beautiful nature photos. I wish you a lot of health and energy, now the cold season is starting again. Thank you very much and I hope for many great videos from you. 🍀🐞🍄
When you spoke I nearly had a heart attack... 😄 As someone else mentioned, not only do I love the photography, but the audio is far above average as well. Great video!
Verlorener Junge he did a video on how he does his videos. He does have some pretty sweet equipment, but he also over dubs sounds, like when there is a shot of a river, he may add water sounds. Still, either way, you still have to know how to use the equipment, and have a talent for video.
I absolutely loved your reaction when the rain began while you were making coffee! That was first time I laughed out loud while watching one of your videos. Thank you for transporting me into the northern wilds!
Extraordinary and beautiful scenery that I kept repeating, "Oh, so pretty". And Reindeer too! That was so relaxing to watch. And a map of your expedition! Thank you Erik 🐞🇭🇲
Thank you for providing the map at the end. Whenever I go out; reading at the map before, during and after the trip is relaxing and helps me enjoy the experience even more. 👍🏼☕️✌🏼

Absolutely beautiful scenery and atmosphere, you have such a gift in capturing everything splendidly. The colours of the landscapes are magnificent. The sound is amazing! Thank you for sharing.
When I watch erik video 📹 i am just of the world, I can't explain in words. Mesmerizing to watch. Be safe Erik and make such type of content for us. May god bless you. Love from India 🇮🇳 ♥
Really like your productions/trips Erik, the visual & audio quality is outstanding. Particularly like the way your script Nature’s visual images & audio together to tell the story. The absence of a talking commentary really adds to the enjoyment of watching your experience, I feel I’m there alongside you. Thank you for the technical expertise and crafting of the videos and your love of Nature you share with us. And really like the ‘Signature’ “Morning Coffee” from yourself, that just adds to the enjoyment 😊👍 All the best, and Thankyou 😊 Ps. I’m a fellow hiker from Australia, your trips are very inspiring 👍

I enjoy your great audio. Great Videos is what most youtubers achive easily, but just you, nature and great audio is what makes you special. Thank you!
Immensely relaxing to watch and inspirational to go out and seek nature myself. Gratefull for YT to pop this one up. Can't believe I've missed this one since it's from two years ago and I'm following more that five! Looking foreward to my upcoming adventure: Sulitjelma and Saltfjallet in full autumn splendor. Two more weeks before departure...
Watching your video from New Zealand I could feel and hear the vastness and beauty of your Northern Sweden, Autumn colours were magnificent. Thank you for sharing a beautiful video with us all.
I am new to your channel. There are several UA-cam channels like this that I watch regularly. Yours is becoming my favorite. Although I'm from Southern California desert country, a totally different environment, we seem to enjoy the same experience. It is the simple, quiet, solo hike or backpack that prefer the most. Great video production.
I think this is now my favourite video of yours Eric. Your photography and editing is always excellent but this one seams to be on another level., helped no doubt by the extremely beautiful scenery.
Excellent video as always. Great video and outstanding audio. How can anyone give this a thumbs down? Always enjoy watching. Your work is very calming and makes me forget the turmoil that the world is enduring. Be well and stay safe.
Hello Erik, greetings from Northern California. It is good to see you again. Thank you for sharing another beautifully filmed video. You always do a great job of filming. California forestlannd is burning up this year. We have lost over 4 million acres this year due to fires. I'm captivated by your videos. Please keep up your great work. All the best to you for your good health and safety. 🤗
Tackar 😀 blev perfekta lunch klippet för att drömma mig bort .

Finally! Someone who puts out silent, peaceful videos! Thank you!
The colors of autumn are a favorite. Capturing the herd of reindeer on video was cool. Cheers.
There is nothing more relaxing after a long day of walking, then a cozy tent, a cup of your favorite beverage, a nice book and it starts to softly rain. Good times.
These are films - not videos!
You are an artist!
Love it!
Thank you!
Really appreciate that the music in this is kept to a minimum. Only the natural music here. Beautiful video! :)
Erik, you are a poet. I can see the depth and warmth through the way you look at things. Breathtakingly beautiful.

Your films are pure therapy. Thank you!
Thanks once again Eric. Your work has rapidly become the yardstick of what an “outdoor” video should be!
... почему-то вспомнилось выражение - "жизнь в каждом вдохе" ... из фильма "последний самурай" ...
Отличные видео! Спасибо Эрик!
Thanks!
That made my Fall equinox!! Thank you Eric and Trail on!!🥾👍
Autumn colours and the winds of change. Different light, chill in the air; the vegetation smells earthy. Soon the sound of snow crunching under boot. 🍁🍂
Erik has a new jacket, love watching your adventures, just not long enough, thank you.
we all need to make our own adventures!
Maybe theres part 2 hehehe
Probably for free, he had both cap and other jacket from same brand in previous video.
That is the most common brand in Sweden

Perfect timing. I was just about to drink my morning coffee 😊
🙂🙂

Thank you for the video. This is the divine Sweden, which gives the impression of a fairyland.
Wow that opening shot! First 4 seconds of those birches are spectacular.
Thank you for providing the map at the end. Whenever I go out; reading at the map before, during and after the trip is relaxing and helps me enjoy the experience even more. 👍🏼☕️✌🏼
Does anybody know what kind of map it is? I try google maps and garmin maps (it meens open street map) and it seems not that case. Thank you

Beautiful country and time of the year, I love the remoteness.
Great video production.
I love that you record the sound of the wind, not just the wind hitting your microphone. It's like being there. Thanks, Erik. 🙂☕👍
Toujours un plaisir ces moments partagés dans ces belles solitudes. En espérant vous y retrouver bientôt. Amitiés de France
Det svenska svårmodet och det heliga morgonkaffet. Fina bilder.

Seeing you using butane is like a non sequitur Eric. That well-used Trangia kettle has become like a character in your videos.
Enjoyed closing shot of zipping the tent to end the hike. Thanks.
