Such a wonderful video, Erik. So many UA-camrs feel they have to use loud music & endless talking on their videos but I find the sound of nature so much better. Keep it up. You're really inspiring me to try so much more than I ever thought I could.
Great to see a backpacking/camping video without all the "how to", gadgets, and gear explanations. A video that makes you feel as though you are there to witness all the goodness of our earth.
"Always drink your coffee with a good nice view". I love it! Your videos are the best Erik. Don't ever stop making them. You inspire a South African to do the same.
This is the content, I have been looking for. Original, no corporate bullshit, quality content, where I feel recharged afterwards instead of worn down by ads for sponsors, constant shout outs and such. My dream is to move into a cabin in northern Scandinavia at some point, and your videos have ignited the spark again. Keep up the good work. Greetings from Denmark.
Erik, this video is an example of why you have a tremendous following! Your photography is outstanding! Every photo a story of its own. We experience what you experience because of the honesty in your films. We can feel what you are re feeling. Most importantly you are not afraid to be you. The fact that you’re comfortable filming yourself nude while bathing shows the ultimate in letting your viewers in on the full outdoor experience. It’s that type of honesty in your videos that keeps your viewers connected to your channel! Thank you!
After trying to search UA-cam for decent hiking videos and only finding tedious footage of college students talking to selfie sticks, I finally found this channel which has a fantastic filming style. Your very limited but charismatic viewer interaction is perfect for this type of video and adds flavor without being overbearing. The variety of footage you shoot is refreshing as well as the activities you record. Kudos to you for bathing in a shallow pond on UA-cam with nothing but pride.
Bonjour Erik. About this "pile of stones" at (11:30), the ancients deposited such piles of stones in my mountains of the Pyrenees (France) to indicate the passes in foggy or in stormy weather. They called them "Montjoie", joy in the mountains. Thank you for all the beauties you offer us.
Stunning, beautiful, raw, powerful, gentle, peaceful are just a few words to describe your passion Erik. You never cease to inspire me to explore and discover. Truly grateful for you!
Beautiful country. Very nice walk-a-bout. Very easing to watch.. Comforting and peaceful. Takes a lot of work to do that. I am sure you enjoy yourself in those surroundings birds singing and all.
thank you for taking us along your journey. it is like we are walking behind you or sitting next to you. and you blend into nature while taking a quick bath in the cold water (we of course looked at the mountains and such at that moment) :) you have a calm voice so the rare moments you do talk it quite soothing to listen to your comments. And of course that super strong coffee with a thumbs up. LOVE IT. Love your videos. I have subscribed and shall be a patreon soon to keep viewing these wonderful adventures.
Thank You Eric for allowing us to take the voyage with you. And thanks for the English/Swedish translations of the flora and fauna- wonderful ! Moose look just like the one's on the hill behind my home. Peace and Be Well.
Erik, you have the gift of creative silence with which you bless the lives of so many. May God be with you for the rest of your days. Best wishes from the high desert of Joshua Tree. P.s. we scatter those stone piles out in the Western wilderness.
I love the focus on natural sound in your videos, especially the whistle of the wind. Interesting when talking talking about the piled stones that you touched them. Holy moment...
Great video, I could feel the cold crisp water as you crossed the stream and smell the flowers as you moved across the alpine meadows. Thanks Erik, it was wonderful, ptarmigan always make me smile when they run. Cheers
Thanks Erik, for you I can see wonderful places on earth just sitting in my room.the nature and sounds are awesome.very good work indeed.lots of good wishes for you.👍
You give by far the best experience of being in nature- the sounds, the sights, the large and small things. I especially love to hear the wind. When I visited my daughter in Norway I bought one of those folding plastic cups. I still use it, although I prefer the wooden kuksa.
This is real freedom. Far away from the busy and crowded cities. Maybe one day I will do the same thing, because is this appealing. Silence, on your own, time is not important, great views and real nature.
Never stop giving thumbs up. It is you. Do you realize y walk with our maker all the time. Your winters look brutal so did that haunted house.lol. Canada can have bad winters. Depends we're in Canada y live . I walk with y every day. Keep on walking and explaining things. Your country is beautiful.🐻🐿️
This film is supreme. It heals my soul from within. Astonishing view of nature. How wonderful your country is. I love the way you film your stories. Keep going men.
Lots of coffee drinking shots. Great video and stunning scenery. I wish it was me. Water from fresh streams and the food looks good too. Yes, I'm envious but in a nice way. Thanks for posting it.
Enjoyable to the last frame Erik, its the sound of the wind, birdsong and water, I am almost there in that vast land. Wonderful thank you so much for sharing this to New Zealand where I am. John
Really nice Experience grom Erik . It is like YOU Are been there with him .Very simple but nice presented ,Nature , Experience and everything that YOU need For Hiking Nove again thank YOU Erik , YOU Are The great MAN and hikker .
It'll be 20 years in the future. I'll be watching this video in my bunk on a holo-deck, reminding myself that this is what Earth used to be like as the ship drifts through space
The sound at 14:25 and again at 15:20 is made by a snipe (enkelbeckasin, gallinago gallinago). When the bird dives at great speed the outer tail feathers start to vibrate, producing this sound. It has the same function as the song of other birds: to claim a territory.
Thank you for the superb video, I enjoyed every minute of it. It will be one of my favourite. Glad to see that the old format has returned, you showed the plants, birds, insects with their names. I'm pleased to see your success, 4000 views in 24 hours : )
Amazing video Erik! Always a pleasure to follow along with you on your adventures, and the views are just mind-blowing. I love the camera work, and how you use different angles to provide a pleasing watching experience! Ha det bäst och ta hand om dig.
Hello Erik, I discovered your channel some months ago and I guess by now I watched all of your videos. This one about your spring tour in Swedish Lapland I like most, probably because it reminds me of the trips I make together with my companion every early summer since 37 years. Now I would like to say (and I apologize in advance for my lousy English, it`s not my mother tongue): Thanks a lot for sharing this! It always is a good time off, watching your small films, because nature has the first place in it. The long shoots on landscape, clouds, flowing water and wind reflect the pleaceful and relaxed mood, I have on my tours. And: Thanks for not talking a lot. Others publish outdoor videos, mainly to demonstrate what tremendous sportsmen, tough bushcrafters or clever gearfreaks they are. With you it seems, you simply want to share your love to nature. And you do it in a realy successful way, even the music/sounds fit well. Congratulations. Greatings, Uwe
Thanks Uwe! I appreciate your comment very much. That is exactly how I want to mediate the feeling of the outdoors. The connection with nature is what it's all about! Atb
Hi Erik, many years ago I read an essay by William Hazlitt "On Going A Journey". I want to quote some sentences from it: "One of the pleantest things in the world is going a journey, but I like to go by myself. I can enjoy society in a room; but out of doors, nature is company enough for me. [...] I cannot see the wit of walking and talking at the same time. When I am in the country I wish to vegetate like the country. [...] I go out of town in order to forget to town and all that is in it. [...] The soul of a jouney is liberty, perfect liberty to think, feel, do, just as one pleases. We go a journey chiefly to be free of all impediments and of all invonveniences; to leave ourselves behind much more to get rid of others. [...]" In many respects, those where words for my unconscious thoughts. But I have found a few companions, I can share nature with, without loosing contact to myself and nature. But sure, going alone clears the space for deeper experienences. Then "I want to see my vague notions float like the down of a thistle before the breeze..." Greetings Uwe
The scenery of Sweden tracking course is really beautiful. The sound of nature can sound so clear ... That's great. The image quality is very, very high. I want to go there once and do tracking and camping. Thank you for the indirect experience while watching the video. "꿈이 이루어지길..."
I am lucky to live in Montana, U.S. not far from the Beartooth/Absoroka Mountains which are stunning but your mountains you share in your video are spectacular... thanks for sharing!
Such a wonderful video, Erik. So many UA-camrs feel they have to use loud music & endless talking on their videos but I find the sound of nature so much better. Keep it up. You're really inspiring me to try so much more than I ever thought I could.
That was like antidepressant, not much talking, very soothing and relaxing nature video! Very nice!

Same here. I am tired to watch videos how cool gadgets they have and how cool they survive in wilderness. These are really awesome videos.
@@zepponline I am tired too... you're right
Couldn't agree more. I like also Erik Normark's style to make videos.
This is the definition of “Quality of Life”...👍🏼😇

I especially like the music here and there, thank-you

Thanks Isabell. I think silence feels less troubling when you are actually out there.
Beautiful landscapes. I would love to hike there someday
