This guy is a musician .. as opposed to a music store guy with chops, which we see in so many demos! I'm very impressed by this instrument. I recently purchased a Yamaha CP40 which I am not unhappy with, but I wish I'd seen this first!
Your not missing much, I prefer cp40s key action over the grandstage especially after fine tuning the velocity sensitivity depth and velocity sensitivity offset to my liking. also to get the most out of your cp40 e-piano patches, play with the KeyOffVol and StrikPos settings.
I want this board so bad. It’s so often compared to the RD2000 but to me this wins. Crisper and brighter acoustic pianos (electric included) and the action is outrageously realistic. Plus it comes with a stand which is fucking amazing.
did not see if there is an option for more pedals or just a single damper. A very retrospective observation : Korg SGproX was and still is a seriously good sounding instrument with great key action also with after touch and numerous MIDI ports.
I love Korg. I've owned just about every model over the years. This one really had me intrigued, but I can't understand why they didn't upgrade the action. The RH3 is slow and outdated. With competition like Yamaha's CP4, Roland's RD2000, and Kawai's MP7/MP11, Korg really needed to up their game to be competitive. Also, I don't want the stand. How about selling a cheaper version without the included stand?
There are similiarities and differenes. Grandstage has more pianos out of the box. You can buy some of those pianos for Kronos, but some are exclusive, including the Italian Grand and the new Grandstage Upright. Then there's the difference in engines. Kronos has 9 engines. 5 of those (the most important for live) are in Grandstage, plus two completely new organ engines (VOX and Compact) and that's in addition to the tried and true CX3 engine. The interface is definitely way more straightforward on the Grandstage in my opinion, and the "split" layout - with the two dedicated screens and two sound selection/attenuation sections - makes a lot of sense for split and layer.
Dvon Cruse That keyboard stand can be custom-made. Check out: “Gibraltar keyboard stand” on UA-cam. I custom-built my own keyboard stand all out of chrome parts, like in the video, using their products. Mine is also capable of taking two keyboards at once!
Nice playing and demo but the piano/string layer at end needs major tweaking. I am looking at this against the RD-2000 and while this Grandstage sounds great on pianos, electric pianos and all of that, my current Casio PX5S beats this on layering sounds with it's AiR sound engine. (Not bashing Korg, I own a 61-key Kronos)
The top ends sound really tinny on the first sound. I closed my eyes and just didnt like it. Second sound was nice tho. Preferred the piano at 3:12 but i think there are better stage pianos than this overall
@@Grayham4 actually coming back to this after watching hundreds of stage piano videos since my last comment and its actually not that bad. I still prefer yamaha cp4/cp88 and as for synths a kurzweill pc3a6 or artis. Not tried the kronos or genos tho
I like that Korg is trying something different for the design. But it doesn't really look good, especially the huge Logo. I know a lot of artists actually ducktape the logo out, and now this piano SCREAMS Korg at you with it's LED logo. Not the best choice.
Yeah sure, but for MANY artists, the logo looks awesome and is part of their brand. For keyboardist who swear by a brand this is really cool. Give me the name of one Nord player who doesn't mention Nord in every conversation they have. Some people love the brand. It's why the Apple logo lights up on their laptops. It creates brand req and brand culture.
I still can hear the same samples being used over and over again. I mean the samples that have been used on korg's synths & digital pianos for years. Roland is doing exactly the same thing. I really trust Korg for pure synthesis, but not for acoustics
I like this All Playing, No talking format
That piano sound around 3:14 is really nice.
Please make more "All Playing, No Talking". Its very relaxed and we become a very good introduction from the sounds of the instrument.

2:11 The electric pianos are so good. Great dynamics, and the bite in those left hand stabs is so nice I'm going to have to re-listen a few times.

Ive watched so many youtibe videos and came to the conclusion the cp4 was the best (well now the cp88)
Beautiful grand piano sound!
that gp is amazing

Beautiful grand piano sound at the beginning.....
I have an older Korg, always liked it. This one is good.
That phaser/delay EP sound was beautiful
Awesome. Korg piano sounds are really very good.

I’m a korg fan. Beautiful sounds 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
All these sounds were all on the ENSONIQ TS-10 & TS-12 from back in the day especially that last patch!
This is magical to my ears! I wish I could I could afford this 😭
2:09 Here's the Rhodes sound I like.
did not see if there is an option for more pedals or just a single damper. A very retrospective observation : Korg SGproX was and still is a seriously good sounding instrument with great key action also with after touch and numerous MIDI ports.
Sounds Soothing
Surely its grand looking.
beautiful playing, and beautiful keyboard stand
I love it very much!
They made me subscribe with this All Playing, No talking stuff. Ha ha. Right, the mouth can lie but not the instrument.
Can you please demonstrate the new update for the court grant stage 2.0 it seems like nobody wants to demonstrate it
Great playing
This i looking for every tutoriall video "All playing , Not talking" Thkns For your video
wow! ❤🙌
Any idea which piano is 3:20 to 4:20? Beautiful tone.
The grand piano is truly majestic. Well worth the price if you can afford it.
Its like a bollywood piano
Wow, Ryan Gosling sure didn't fake his playing in La la land.
tsavavaa what?
He means that the guy here playing looks like Ryan Gosling
it's also true that Ryan Gosling didn't fake his playing for the film, either. though what we hear in the movie isn't him, but everything we see is.
It's Aaron Paul, ya douche.
Nice!
Beautiful 😚 and very well playing 😚++ 👍 👍 ++ subscribed ++ ⚘ ⚘ ⚘
Anybody else feels like the Piano and Rhodes are all Keyscape patches?
5:30 this is fly me to the moon?
I love the tune at 3:11 If that's a real song can someone please tell me the name (though I'm assuming its an improv)
Just saw from previous reply it was improv - dam

I like the stand, where to get one
Великолепный инструмент!
I WANT SHEET MUSIC QQ

I like The Keyboard stand. What Kind is it?
Stefan Porzner gibraltar i think??
Stefan Porzner it's a new stand called the Standard from Korg! it comes with the grandstage
It comes with that stand (Standard-M-SV). See Korg's official page. I'm surprised they are including it.
I love Korg. I've owned just about every model over the years. This one really had me intrigued, but I can't understand why they didn't upgrade the action. The RH3 is slow and outdated. The RH3 is actually very very good. Not sure what you mean.
their key action is great tho.
I am sure the action on this key bed is updated , it’s not the same action as on the Kronos and it’s wery quiet , but maybe a little heavy
Wowwww
Combine this with keyscape and we're golden
Song from 3.12-4.20 someone please.
Hi there--that bit was just something I improvised. Thanks for watching!
Ok, Thanks. Couldn't you make a song for 4-5 minutes of that part you play here. It's the best i have ever heard, absolutely amazing.
Stefan Hagström it reminds me something from Final Fantasy 😀
TedescoCreations What was the last song? It was nice.
Darude sandstorm
great demo. what is the name of the keyboard stand?
It comes with grandstage
Muito bom. A Korg é foda
soooo 61 key waterfall action version for Winter Namm 2018? ;)
just get a nord electro :P
This one vs Roland 2000?
What is song on 2:11 minute?
It's an improvisation
How do u compare it to the new rd-2000? Also, does all the sounds from the grandstage is in the korg kronos?
There are similiarities and differenes. Grandstage has more pianos out of the box. Two dedicated screens? I can see one on the GrandStage, am I missing something?
Is this Frank or Zach ?
I think it's Frank
Have you used eq,comp etc. or is the sound out of piano?
The C8 sounds like a C#8
is it with builten speakers?
No speakers, but 1/4" and XLR" stereo on back.
nope if its not an arranger, you're going to need an amp
How much is it priced in India??
song from 06:35 someone please....
Me gusta !!!! cuanto es su valor Dollars ???
Who is Ryan Gosling?
2:11 - ID? Anyone?
I think its all improvised
Um piano digital interessante...
una joya.
How much the price?
What kind of stand is that? I need one

Is there anyone know the brand name of that stand he is using ??
Khandaker Iqbal it comes with the Grandstage
Weight?
how does the keybed feel?
It's gonna be just like the SV-1 as it uses the RH3 (improved version) keybed. It's semi-weighted.
Demais

any info about the sample depth per patch (by GB)?
Ok Korg. What happened just right there? Say goodbye to Roland and Yamaha. Add escapement to your action and there will be no competition.
Do those silly looking upper left and right poles come off the stand?? Please say yes.
Intro dangdut
daddyyy
The top ends sound really tinny on the first sound. I closed my eyes and just didnt like it. Second sound was nice tho. Preferred the piano at 3:12 but i think there are better stage pianos than this overall
nezkeys79 I agree. I think Nord still has it beat
@@Grayham4 actually coming back to this after watching hundreds of stage piano videos since my last comment and its actually not that bad. I still prefer yamaha cp4/cp88 and as for synths a kurzweill pc3a6 or artis. Not tried the kronos or genos tho
Don´t forget: the same keybed as the SV1, for me the best argument to avoid this piano...I had three of them clicking. Never again a Korg!
Get real, get pianoteq4! - best NOT sample based piano vst!
One thing I can tell you is I'm hard to win when it comes to Rhodes sounds. Take it as a nope.
Thanks for not talking
2.25 lack and only piano tone
very bad idea
😞😢
raland xps 30 give more rich tone then this
I like that Korg is trying something different for the design. But it doesn't really look good, especially the huge Logo. I know a lot of artists actually ducktape the logo out, and now this piano SCREAMS Korg at you with it's LED logo. Not the best choice.
Marcusmiller I think it looks nice
You can completely defeat the light if you so choose. It's just an option.
Marcusmiller I like it. It's different.

IMITACION YAMAHA CP50
The piano samples ARE still very korgish. Here are the same samples again with a bit more make up.
Korgish, hmm that's strange. Why the hell would that be? Hmmmm..
I still can hear the same samples being used over and over again. I mean the samples that have been used on korg's synths & digital pianos for years. Roland is doing exactly the same thing. I really trust Korg for pure synthesis, but not for acoustics
Low standart. Cant fight sound piano for yamaha motif and roland rd
Hello, what kind of piano tone is what is played at the beginning of the video (from 0.00 to 0.33)? Thank you!
