    Magnificent review. No fuss, or decoding speech, just straight to the point. Beautifully done!

    I went to Namm and tried both Grand 2 and Grandstage X. There was no clear winner for me. I am currently on a Nord Piano 5 so the only thing that stood out on the Grand 2 was the Kawai keys--otherwise, everything on Grand 2 is very similar to Piano 5--down to the paltry memory size. The Grandstage X was great but the RH3 keys were a big bummer for me. I used to have a Korg SV-1 which had the RH3 keys and I found that to be too heavy for me when comparing to other keyboards. Sigh.... Maybe I'll wait for next iteration of Grandstage X2 or Grand 3. Although.... if I had a gun pointed to my head and forced to choose one of the two...I would pick Nord Grand 2. I love my Nord Piano 5, so having Kawai keys is a bonus.

      Thanks for the info Dennis. I had pretty much the same thoughts. The Grandstage checks all the boxes except for the action and that's a pretty big deal. It's no fun playing a keyboard with a terrible action, no matter how great it sounds, at least for me. If Nord had put 3 GB of piano memory into the Grand 2, it would have been on my wish list, but it's not worth upgrading if I have virtually the same memory as my existing Nord.

    Amazing voice, great cuts and camera angles. You should publish more. 🎉 korg’s design is stunning. It is a shame they neglected the keybed.

    Sold my old NG & picked up the All-New NG2 last week. It is hands down, the best stage piano on the market plus it feels like a dream! The 2GB memory is not an issue at all. With the Nord library manager it's easy to load in plenty of pianos for gigging. Most keyboardists don't use as many sounds as people think. Btw, the KORG RH3 action is a mushy, soft action, not great. The all new Kawai action on the NG2 is balanced to perfection!

    Hope the Nord has fixed the ppp issue as to me, the White Grand sounds gorgeous but plays unlike any acoustic at ppp.

    Thanks. Great vid once again.
    I wonder if the GrandStage X has MDF (particle board) underneath. Its predecessor did and I’m not a fan when playing on liquid inundated surfaces ;)
    It’s one of the reasons why I like my Roland RD-88. No particle board or MDF there. And the Nord also looks like it’s metal clad underneath. Here’s hoping for the GrandStage X.

    • @arcticfoxstudios2018
      @arcticfoxstudios2018  10 місяців тому +1

      Thanks Pro. I did not know about the particle board. That’s not acceptable for a keyboard over $1000 in my book. Yes, the Nord does have a metal bottom and it’s built pretty solid. The only thing I really wish the new one had was more memory.

      $4,500 for the board. I think the monitors are another $600 and the fancy red legs are $1000 and the fancy red music stand is $200. It's all overpriced, but sounds and plays fantastic.

    For ME, the "DEXIBELL Vivo10" (Not compared here) appears way more interesting (regarding the key-bed/action). Unfortunately you didn't mention the power supply. I hate keyboards that require an additional power supply, because the usual external power supplies with their thin cables are too sensitive for me and my cats because they love to chew through thin cords/cables!
    The sounds: Let's be realistic: NO stage piano ever can/will reproduce the sound of a "Boesendorfer" Grand Piano. You're using an "ELECTRIC STAGE PIANO" to please your audience with a nice "Piano" sound and i really doubt that you'll live the day when s.o. comes up to you reclaimig that YOUR piano doesn't sound like a "Boesendorfer"!
    In the end the most important thing you'll have to look for is the "FEEL/ACTION" of the keybed!
    Ok, as with all things in our world, price also plays a big role!
    Well, the prices:
    the Nord goes for ~ € 4.100
    The Dexibell goes for ~ € 3.400
    The Korg goes for ~ € 2.950;
    As you can see, the average price differences are between € 700,- and € 1,150,-

      I haven't tried the 10. I tried the 9 and liked the action as well as the woodgrain on the keys.
      Agree on the cable thing. Give me a good high quality IEC cable any day. If I lose one of those, I can get another one on Amazon for cheap or steal one from an old computer.
