The Laydown:
Welcome to fantasy draft for season 6 you losers. Each person will draft 11 characters to play the field much like our favorite pig skin game of Football. The first 6 will be picked in rounds according to each player. Then, the next 5 will be drafted at random. In the pool will be both heroes and villains with different “stat blocks” on how to acquire points, again much like football fantasy. Below are the point acquisition systems for heroes and villains, respectively. LET'S GET READY TO ROCK!

My favorite thing about AFO is how he’s always having so much fun with his villainy 😂
Man is giddy about telling this 16-year-old to kys. He'd be right at home in a 2000's CoD lobby.
A lot of people think that this Deku is "cool" and that he should always be this way. But he's literally overworking himself, constantly on the move, super anxious and depressed, filthy, driving his body into the grave at Mach speed. And to top it all off, he's doing exactly what All For One predicted he would do. By creating a scenario where Tomura can find Izuku at all times, he's isolated himself to protect everyone. One of the things he thought during his fight with Shigaraki constantly was, "Don't be the useless Izuku who can't save anyone". He has the fear that if he isn't saving anyone that he's useless. His sense of self-doubt is through the roof that he's not thinking about his own worth.
Bakugo knows that Izuku is similar to All Might in that he's trying to shoulder the burden of this society on himself. That he thinks he has to do everything by himself. Bakugo has known him since they were kids. He knows Izuku won't stop to think about himself. Which is why it's so fitting that he's the first person to find him. He's coming to return the hand of help he previously refused. And saving someone important to him.
It's really a super cool thing to see Bakugo, along with Uraraka and Iida, being the front runner in getting him back. Goes to show how much he's grown and how much he really sees Midoriya as a friend.

Thats exactly why those people look like an absolute clown now since bones add those dizzy animations which aren't clear in the manga.
This episode also shows how Mt. Lady has continued to persist as a hero, in the presence of her colleague Death Arms quitting.
Specifically her with the origin of being more attention seeking for fame as a hero.
She had some nice background development to this point.
I think her being in a loving relationship with Kamui Woods helped. He's a much more serious hero. I think he had a strong influence on Mt Lady. I think she grew from the beginning of the story of being more vain to becoming a True Hero because of her love and admiration for him.
@@bernieburton6520 A romantic relationship isn't confirmed. She grew into a better person yes, but I think it takes away from her character by saying she did it for a man she might not even be in a relationship with.

I don't think that's what he's saying, you can also interpret it as maybe because of Kamui woods she saw a new perspective which reinforced her already her stead fast conviction of being a Hero. I don't think being in a relationship necessarily takes away from any characters if done correctly (under the assumption if that was the case)
You can interpret it how you want because it's such a small part of the story which I think is nice.
Minor detail that people missed, but Bakugo now wears a tie with his uniform. That’s character development for ya😂

The manga panel of the scene when they he doesn’t even look like a hero was inescapable when the chapter released, and it got a shit ton of people to become manga readers, including me. I don’t think it’s a stretch to say it’s one of the best looking panels in the series, and possibly the most well-known one as well. It’s nice to see it being done justice in the anime

The "dark" hero Deku - still heroic, but losing himself to his mindset. Self-sacrifice is normally a positive trait, but this a "dark" inversion of how it can be self-destructive. His biggest threat right now is not the villains, but him to himself. This arc with some interesting character exploration for Deku.
It's also similar to the self-sacrifice that All-Might did - which led to society relying on him so much that when he eventually retired (Which was bound to happen eventually) it put society on a knife's edge until it collapsed - now everything is falling apart and Deku's condition is a reflection of that.
@Justin Yep, clear parallel of Deku like All Might to keep working, and All Might like Nighteye to try to get him to slow down.
Mt. Lady deserves so much respect. Introduced as such a vain hero, but steps up every time and even now keeps trucking on. She's a real one for sure. I wouldn't even call it a redemption, because I think this was always a side of her.
I always like how most of the time Shigaraki and AFO are smiling which makes me think bout what Nana said. How the one's who are smiling are the strongest🤔
I'm really proud of Mt Lady. She doesn't look like she's backing down and she was in this for fame at first. She got pretty hurt during the last big battle and with her quirk she probably went into heroics thinking she wouldn't be in as much dangers as others. Not many people can fight her on even footing.
All Might and Stain actually didn't get to talk.
When Aizawa talks to All Might outside during the winter, he mentions that Tsukauchi wanted AM to postpone their conversation.

Your comment on other reactors not caring about Death arms quitting is on point 😭 I felt bad about that moment because it was Death arms of all people, one of the first pro heroes we knew. It's just really telling which people are more obsessed with this series than others
Mt Lady proving herself as a real hero, and ironically making Stain's argument look worse. Stain would have undoubtedly have considered her a "fake hero" based only on the surface. But you never know what hidden strengths people have. She's proven herself in the toughest times.
Stain and All Might did NOT have a conversation. The comment you are thinking of is All Might saying he had to postpone the meeting. It never happend.

I guess Death Arms figured catching Sliding Go was a feat that could never be replicated, so when the public started criticizing heroes he figured that the best choice was to end his carrier with a bang.

No reactor has really brought any real attention to it so far (about to see if you do), but AFO's speech about human nature was one of the most brilliant speeches in the series. No matter how much people preach about individualism, they live in a society that hard-punishes people whose individualism cannot align to the group.
This speech really highlights how AFO has amassed so many allies to his cause over time. For all the raw power he has, he could easily win people over by instilling fear into them. But with how flawed this society is, all he has to do is catch the ones that society push off the cliff and THEY end up doing the work for him.
A true "we live in a society" moment. Just a simple extension of a hand is all he needs to do most of the time.

All Might never had a meeting with Stain. At the end of season 5 Aizawa said that All Might had to postpone his meeting with Stain in prison . And All Might never got to go to do that meeting before the beginning of the war.
Thinking of All Might lovingly cooking that bento for Deku to reject it breaks my heart

I wanted to make this comment EXCLUSIVELY about Deku and what we saw with the kids. Because there is some DEEP stuff this episode.
Now it’s time to talk about what I’ve been dancing around this whole arc. I’ve continuously said look at Deku’s eyes. How they lose light each passing episode and become cold. This is a state I am INCREDIBLY familiar with. I call it “exhausted empathy.” This is a strain only Empaths feel. Empaths get to a point where their empathy is working 24/7/365 depending on their emotional experiences. Constantly feeling the emotions of others. And with that comes a different brand of functioning. Which I call the brick backpack. From my perspective, Empaths wear a backpack no one else wears. And it’s empty for a time. But eventually with experience, people start throwing emotional bricks at you. Whether they want to or not. Suppressed feelings count. What you don’t say counts. An Empath will have to catch each brick and decide whether they want it in their backpack to store and help the person they carry that brick for, or if they don’t need it and let it go. If you overstuff, THIS occurs. Empaths don’t breakdown like most people. Rather than getting an explosion of anger or sadness, an empath will become emotionless. It’s like getting trapped inside your own head.
This state is AWFUL and that’s putting it INCREDIBLY mildly. Once the overstuff occurs, the empath will cease to be able to tell where each brick they’ve stored comes from. They can’t tell what emotions come from which person and it all collapses in an unsortable gray area. Your mind and your body no longer cooperate. It’s just fumes. But the empath ability will NOT shut off here. People still throw bricks, and we can’t stop it. All you can do is take it. But you’re so out of it, you’ll just assume that it’s YOUR emotion. And I consider this the worst emotional strain a person can feel because…well. Among the feelings that can get thrown our way are depression, anxiety, PTSD, and…s*icidal thoughts.
Now take what I’ve said…and apply it to Deku across the war arc. Across the Todoroki backstory episodes. Across the accepting of the burdens of OFA from the 8 holders. The Muscular fight, the Lady Nagant Fight. And now AFO’s speech and MORE assassins. And you have yourself a pain that FAR surpasses not eating, not sleeping, not stopping days on end. Probably WEEKS. LOOK HOW SKINNY DEKU IS. Deku is in absolute TURMOIL. If you showed this kid a mirror. He wouldn’t know who is looking back.
And worst of all, once this state is reached, there is only one way out. Someone has to know the core of your being and have your complete trust. If they don’t, all they do is continue the cycle of ever growing burden. Which leads us to Class A. Who among them do you think has that trust? I’ll say this up front. If you believe it’s Bakugo, you chose the WORST choice. BAR NONE.
Bakugo if anything may have caused this state when he was Deku’s dedicated bully. What Bakugo brings to this table is he knows the mission, he knows Deku’s thoughts on the mission, and he knows how Deku would act about it. NONE of those things help Deku other than physical assistance. And as we’ve seen, that is NOT what Deku needs. This isn’t Bakugo at his most helpful, this is Bakugo at what I consider his MEANEST. He announces to the whole CLASS he knows Deku better than anyone while announcing he’s CRAZY. I won’t deny Bakugo is ABSOLUTELY concerned, but this is where the posturing STOPS. This is where you STOP doing things like this because all it causes is harm. And what does he say to Deku when he sees him? “Well if it isn’t his majesty OFA. Tell me, can you smile right now?” It doesn’t matter if the intentions of that statement are warranted, you don’t BELITTLE those in a breakdown. This is NOTHING but a demonstration that Bakugo understands the mission and how Deku perceives the mission. But if you look at ANYTHING other than this mission, Bakugo and Deku STILL do not get along in the SLIGHTEST. Their personalities do NOT mesh at all. And Deku is the one who does all the reaching to maintain the peace between the two. This is where BAKUGO has to. And when Deku is like this, Bakugo’s statements could cause LITERAL HEARTBREAK. Another burden to carry.
I’m sorry I got so real, but this is NOT a situation people can take lightly. This HAPPENS. If you know an empath, and they are completely emotionless, THIS is what you could be looking at. And you very well might have to speak up because an empath is NOT able to break free themselves. The portrayal of Deku’s state is PERFECT.
I’ll also say to those that noticed, I did recover from this myself. And I’m not in this state. But I had JUST recovered when this arc came out in manga and that’s why it’s so special to me. Deku is my favorite fictional character for a reason.

ahh poor Izuku honestly. that parallel between afo and all might telling him "its your turn" shows the immense weight he has been carrying on his shoulders to have to protect everyone else and defend himself. tho he looks cool, he just isn't doing well. as for the class, bakugou genuinely knows deku best so it was honestly great to see him take charge here along with everyone else. we see how much their relationship has progressed from the beginning. great ep

Hooooo boy. This set of episodes I consider to be MHA’s finest. Period. And all I do is praise MHA as is…so I’m going to say it all.
Let’s start with AFO’s speech to Deku. AFO has countless contingency plans throughout. He doesn’t care if Lady Nagant wins or loses, the moment contact is made, he got Deku. Of course he’d show up willingly or unwillingly. After all, he’s selfless enough to personally take it upon himself to save Bakugo from him when All-Might is occupied. And he treats this like Deku is the next one to surround with these lack of options. No matter where you go, no matter what you do, I’ll be there haunting you awake or asleep. You’ve chosen to face me. Welcome to the effort of OFA. This shakes Deku to his CORE as that bomb goes off.
This is what Gran Torino and All-Might have shielded him from all this time. Neither wanted him involved in this at all. Not with the Nomu investigations, not with any stories of OFA/AFO and it all fell on the other holders to speak of their nightmares. (Also yes they never address the aftermath of the explosion in the manga as well. You can assume everyone was so fast they either got out, or had what they needed to take the blast since the injuries are not visible.) Again I’ll state this is the path of a parent. And while All-Might is best dad…he has completely failed to teach his successor KNOWING this could happen.
The heroes acknowledge that telling the rest of heroes of OFA would yield worse scenarios not better. AFO hasn’t gone public because Deku would be ISOLATED. Which…y’know. There’s NO good option here. The press is trying to find out who Deku is and what he’s doing. And again, OFA going public would be the WORST scenario because that means people know the war arc was in preparation to fight DEKU. And that would place the whole war on his shoulders. Not…that it hasn’t already.
The line “I can control 100% no blowback like you All-Might!” Is a claim I can’t even in the SLIGHTEST take at face value. I said it when Fa Jin was demonstrated. There is no way in hell this show would build up the importance of mastering 100% and then give a magic quirk that just fills in the gap. Much less call it faux 100. It’s not the same. But Deku views it as such. Nothing about his situation can even dispel the slightest concern because it’s not supposed to. This kid is having the breakdown of a lifetime. That claim is NOT reliable. AT ALL. If I saw a man looking at me like that and he said I can bench press 300 lbs so don’t worry! I would know darn well that claim can’t be taken at face value. Some people use this line to say Deku is on the level of All-Might. And I acknowledge he’s not far from the All-Might we saw in season 1-3 in power. But he’s STILL not there yet. Nothing about Deku’s power appears to be on the level of what he hopes to face other than they can’t counter anything he does. And All-Might closed the gap. So I stand by my previous OFA interpretations.
All this to say, you reap what you sow All-Might. It breaks my heart that it’s come to the point where he’s like Nighteye PLEADING with All-Might to settle down so he can help TOSHINORI. All-Might can’t even get the words out because HE didn’t listen to what he wants to say. So why would Deku? This is what you trained him to be regardless if you shielded the burden. The burden came anyway. And now you’re watching him make the same mistakes. Gran Torino said it himself. “You saw the kid right? He’s turning out like you more and more everyday. Not a compliment.” All-Might has saved MILLIONS of lives. And he finds himself helpless to save or help the one he wants to help the MOST. And Stain…was listening.
Also worth noting that this is the juncture where I truly start suspecting someone. SUBSTANTIALLY more than I did before and I was already VERY cautious around this individual. I’ll cover my suspicions another day, and I assume I’ll get the chance to this season.
I’m actually going to make two comments today and post the other separately. Because that one I see has much more important info.
Midoriya might be an awesome badass, but he's also still just a kid that needs his friends. Let's just keep that in mind.

We’re continuing the Dark Hero/Deku Arc of the Final Act Saga, with yet another display of just how sinister All For One can be with leads into a Big Explosion, afterwards we’ll a regroup meeting of the Heroes, which then leads into a showcasing of why this Arc is called the way it is, which then eventually leads into Class 1A arriving to the scene, where we finally get to see how they have been reacting to any of this and a hint of what they have been doing up until now, which then ends things-off with a face-off between Deku and Class 1A,
Next Time, it seems like we’ll get to see Class 1A vs Deku, i wonder how that will turn out, what do you think?

not sure if you know. This (the end part) is around 2 months after he left ua. and 1 week after his fight with nagant. so he's been fighting for 2 months and 1 week, almost constantly fighting.
Mt lady has a neck brace and a scar near her eye from the fight with gigantomagica
It’s 1a vs Tired-ku which is good for powerscaling this series. Every time a series does this it’s a narrative device to say this guy would destroy everyone else healthy. Bakugo is the only one close right now but yea it’s no contest rested. One thing shown in the manga that would give more context to his strength was that Deku was the one that saved everyone from that explosion all of one set off. He literally got everyone out of that house instantly.

Just by what technique and quirks he has these are the potential counters he has for each of them , so the only thing keeping them from being whipped the floor with like that 2nd hired gun is that Izuku ain't gonna hurt his friends (too bad )
