I haven't read the manga and I don't know for certain, but they showed images of a quirk erasing bullet and Eri right before it happened. That leads me to believe that, since the bullets were created from Eri's body and quirk, Dr Eggman was able to back engineer a version of the Rewind quirk for AFO.
Endeavour shooting fire out of his eyes like a laser was so goddamn cool. Also as fun as All For One’s trash talking is, seeing him genuinely panicked and scared is _really_ satisfying. That last scene with All For One’s eyes and ears coming back is easily one of the most “What the fuck?!” moments in the series, it’s so good
I like the way they formatted the episode to match the chapters with Bakugo and Endeavor parallels. Both got their arm fucked up, both got the flashback power up, both against AFO technically, both tried to go all out with their strongest move, both got absolutely rocked this episode by the villain at the end.
As a manga reader, I'm over the moon that they gave AFO his canon white eyes. In the manga it was clarified/revealed very late that AFO is supposed to have white, blank eyes. In the anime, whenever they showed his shadowed out face, he had red eyes like Shigaraki. Was worried they'd give him red eyes cause the anime has a tendency to occasionally get some colors wrong
Hilarious how even when getting his shit kicked in AFO was still trying to shit talk Endeavor. AFO: "AHHHH WELL YOUR A SHIT DAD AHHHH!" Endeavor: "I know." Endeavor getting the full Evangelion treatment reckoning with his self-loathing and choking his inner self out is so damn good. The truth of his father also goes a long way towards helping to humanize and further contextualize his own parenthood issues and why he felt like he had to go so extra in overdoing hero work. Endeavor knows how cruel and costly the job can be if he comes up short. Alas it was that generational tragedy of broken families and the zeal to prevent it that led to disastrous results.
Could you imagine showing this episode to yourself after your first time watching the Shoto v Deku fight? The growth Endeavor had undergone is some of my favorite in all of anime.
First! :D Little (not) trivia about ShigAFO's eyes. So, you might remember that in S6 in the Tartarus break-out episode, Tomura had white eyes without pupils when AFO took over? And in episode 6 of this season, Tomura's eyes were pale pink without pupils, but switched to his regular eyes in the next episode. So, the thing is - as you saw in this episode, white eyes without pupils is what *AFO's* eyes look like. And in the manga, ever since that moment during SnS fight when AFO's vestige fused with Tomura's, Shigaraki's eyes were supposed to look like that (either white or pale pink colour, no pupils) most of the time, with his pupils sometimes coming back when there's more of Tomura's emotions in the fusion. The anime sadly failed to adapt this aspect, even though it was a very useful narrative tool to show that it's not really Shigaraki they're fighting here, and they got rid of the overlapping voices as well (though you can actually hear Shigaraki's VA trying to compensate that by imitating AFO's VA). But yeah. AFO is the main personality in control here and the eyes were supposed to reflect that (the mannerisms Shigaraki shows in this episode are also very much AFO-like).
The new *Endeavor Ost* is *"we'll stop all of them for sure"* that is a mix of *"your power, todoroki counterattack, I'll surpass you"* from season 2 and heroes mission movie!
Easily your best video!!! The super hype reactions to this amazing episode followed by the eruption of laughter to that incredibly hilarious OP edit. Pure gold
When someone is injured, they begin to put their back into the fight. A single mistake from that point onwards could mean death. AFO gouged All Might's stomach out. And that only made him more determined. All Might had nothing to lose. Endeavor with his past before him, a chunk missing from his side and one of his arms gone also had nothing to lose. AFO was reminded of the fear he felt when he saw All Might charging towards him on the face he lost his face and nearly lost his life. Endeavor stood where All Might stood and with the help of Hawks, Jiro and Tokoyami brought fear into AFO's heart. He showed why he is the new number one hero. And that's where things should've ended. That's where things could've ended. But not this time. Wounded heroes are the scariest, that's true. But villains are also scariest when wounded. And AFO seemingly still has another trick up his sleeve. Speaking of wounded people, Bakugo got pretty wounded in this episode. He thought about Deku and everything he's done as he fought Shigaraki. But it should be noted that while Bakugo did get his arm broken by Shigaraki that doesn't mean he's as powerless as he thinks. Bakugo's attack was the only attack so far that did visible damage to Shigaraki. It burned off nearly half of his face. Which is why he decided Bakugo's hands needed to go. And even more than that, Bakugo is Shigaraki's priority because despite Izuku and Bakugo's rocky relationship, he's closer to Izuku Midoriya than anyone else.
Well, what would you like to see done by endeavor from the author writing this show? What endeavor gonna do when all his sons are wacko as heck Can't really do much them. Ignoring seems the best choice
This episode was nothing short of outstanding and they gave me all the hype from these manga chapters all over again as I was just BLOWN AWAY by the jam packed demonstrations. Jiro has been given the Van Gogh treatment with AFO and she STILL stands up. I guess when you’re staring down the devil and only lose an ear, you can count your blessings. And she unleashes her sound blasts. I gave her quirk a REALLY high grade and she took no time in demonstrating it. Not that it means much to AFO…until it suddenly does. I remember being VERY stuck on what exactly happened to AFO in this fight when he got overwhelmed by Jiro. I thought the SaS vestige attack spread to AFO and results would inevitably impact both AFO and AFS. But what we have here is a long time coming reveal. AFO’s recoil. Like OFA, the recoil for such an immense quirk is equally as immense. The quirk rebellion. Having so many quirks and not full command of them can lead to them holding you back and using your body properly. Whether it’s because of copied quirks, the fact he’s nearly 200 years old and can’t use all the quirks he possesses due to his injuries, or Jiro just potentially hitting a sweet spot of overwhelming his INCREDIBLY boosted new senses that compensate his loss of his natural senses, there’s a LOT to consider. AFO loses his mask in him not moving as he needs to courtesy of precision strikes from Hawks, Tokoyami, and Jiro just doing what they can to overwhelm him. And the image of him moving to devour a vestige was HORRIFYING. I wondered if that would take that quirk off the board for him or it was him just hyper focusing on using the one quirk to keep up the attack and putting his mask back together. But it’s not something Hawks, OR the kids can handle…but Endeavor IS ready for this. Back in the ring, and he loses an arm. Showing the power of AFO compared to the high ends he’s struggled against its now purely fight or flight. This isn’t the indestructible AFS body with All-Might steroids. But AFO IS on par with AFS so long as he is using quirks and AFS isn’t. Endeavor is ready to destroy him and recalls how this all began. How he BECAME this power hungry hero. His father acted as a hero to save someone. And the effort killed both him AND the person he tried to save right before Enji’s eyes. Showing he lacked the power to perform what he needed to, and Endeavor vowing to never repeat the mistake. That…is a heck of a reason. And for it to turn into Endeavor vowing to spend the rest of his days hating himself but launching forward, accepting his own weakness, and making what is one of the CRAZIEST showdowns in this franchise. Once Endeavor’s arm is off, his mask is gone. It’s not even him as a hero for this. It’s JUST the singular thought of saving those that have his back, and the singular thought to just NUKE this abomination of a human being. And we are treated to Endeavor’s freaking coolest moves as AFO struggles in vain to keep him back. (With the same quirk Nine used in the 2nd movie. That shield is quite busted.) He REMAKES HIS ARM out of fire, he’s struggling to stop his overheating so much the air he exhales is essentially boiled steam, and he just GOES WILD. AFO can’t even SEE right now and he knows the exact presence of what is before him. Ironically this wild primal behavior is the LAST THING AFO SAW. As in this is how ALL-MIGHT WAS IN THE LAST MOMENTS OF THEIR PRIME FIGHT. The power isn’t the same but the willpower IS. Endeavor just comet slams AFO to the ground with EVERY HERO AND VILLAIN RUNNING FOR THEIR LIVES TO NOT GET KILLED BY THIS. And he just DRAGS AFO ACROSS THE COUNTRYSIDE LEAVING A GIGANTIC WALL OF FIRE BEHIND HIM. It’s gotta be 50 feet tall! AFO goes to steal Hellflame from Endeavor but gets his hand FRIED INTO NOTHING BY ENDEAVOR USING LASER BEAM HEAT VISION. That’s A SUPERMAN MOVE RIGHT THERE. And RIGHT after he acknowledges he’s not a superhero he just shoots up into the sky to end AFO once and for all engulfing him in a star being a beacon to everyone at the scene. But it does lead to AFO’s single most horrifying weapon. HOW THIS THING SURVIVED A FIRE AFO DIDN’T I HAVE NO IDEA. But we saw in the 1st war Shigaraki had a surplus of quirk deleters produced by Garaki. Of course once he realized what kind of quirk this was, he reverse engineered it. If it can effect nothing in your body BUT the quirk, can it effect EVERY part of your body WITHOUT effecting the quirk. And AFO regrows his ear, and looks at Endeavor dead in the eye. After all, he just injected a rewind dose. The only power I consider that truly rivals OFA and AFO. But then we move onto AFS vs the heroes in the sky. AFS talks about ruling the world and how they are actually looking at the power that can do it. And I DO love how AFO makes his cartoonishly evil goals seem real when he demonstrates he CAN do it. We’ve seen the presence many times. Him breaking out of prison, him in Kamino, Shigaraki demonstrating decay…he thinks he can do it again. Except this time the heroes AND us should be able to blot it out. And THIS is where Bakugo makes one of his finest moments. I’ve been critical of his sacrifice, his apology and how he acts towards others. But today, is where I know I can start to put that away. People aren’t just there to compete with. He’s working past his previous issues and doesn’t view those around him as extras. This is to Best Jeanist’s DELIGHT as this is what he was trying to teach him in season 2. And THIS time he says his hero name genuinely and not in his way of convincing him this name DOES NOT WORK. Bakugo has been asking too much of himself and been demanding others into a higher standard not even HE can stand on. But he’s here to just do EVERYTHING he can. This time the obstacle is something more than preventing his or All-Might’s victory. THIS is the conclusion Bakugo needed to come to and I now know I CAN trust him to not be a bully. I couldn’t up til now as he always managed to paint it differently or rolled it back too fast. He was afraid of this conclusion and now he FINALLY erupts past it and gets to demonstrate not that he’s the best of the best. But the best HE IS. And I know this conclusion is truly treated properly because it means so much to those around him…when most of the time it’s a dead giveaway they don’t know if they want to trust him and even if they want to STOP HIM. (Normally in interactions between Deku and Bakugo.) There’s NONE of that. Kaminari and Kirishima have gotten this side of Bakugo a bit more in full compared to the rest of the cast. The business course prepares to historically document this fight because honestly the people NOT seeing the efforts of the heroes in most situations is EXACTLY why the people don’t know if they can trust their results. Now it’s no excuse. Sadly as amazing as this is to see Bakugo just go CRAZY with all the support that can be provided him by everyone around him…this is still AFS. And he leaves little more than a small burn on him. DEFINITELY an upgrade from his 1st war moves but not enough. Bakugo’s arm is broken. And AFS preps to just make an example out of Bakugo and nothing more. After all…Deku still hasn’t made it to this fight yet.
Bones messed up Afo's eye colour in the earlier seasons, it's actually very light blue, almost white. I'm really happy that they fixed this. One thing that bothers me are Shigaraki's eyes, they should be lighter now too, since afo is in control of him, but Bones isn't animating that :(
@@noske6388 I liked how in one episode this season they made Shiggy's eyes look a flat, lighter red with no pupils. I think that fit really well. So it's extremely puzzling why they went back to animating his eyes the way they've always looked. Hope they fix it in Bluray lol
Honestly, Endeavor’s a great pro hero. That’s just like, a fact, regardless of how I feel about him. In a weird way, this fight kinda shows off his best and worst attributes, as a hero, and as a person. As a hero, he’ll be willing to sacrifice his own arm just to get the job done. But as a person, he’s been running from his responsibility and past for a ridiculously long time, and he’s no different here. He’s been unable to confront his past head on, and will settle for figuratively burning the past for the second time instead of actually continuing to atone like he promised he would. Ultimately, it speaks to the kind of person that he is, someone who’s brave enough to go head to head with a villain like All for One and accept his wrongdoings, but too much of a coward to ever confront his own abusive past and go out of his way to atone for it. He can only admit that he was wrong and continue to run. All for One basically said “You’re awful,” expecting that to drag him down, and Endeavor just responded with, “you’re right, I am awful," and beats him. In a super weird way, I guess Endeavor is the perfect number one hero for society as is. A flawed and corrupt face for a flawed and corrupt society.
Started watching you guys this season and I’m so happy. This season has been amazing and it’s great to see other people digging deep into it and enjoying it. I also can’t wait for you guys to react to stuff that will be happening going forward too ;)
This was a very good episode. The animation was stellar, the music choices were amazing, and the voice acting was godlike as always. Ngl, Endeavor's voice acting has always been the most consistently great thing about his character. Tetsu Inada really knocked it out of the park, and I'm sure Patrick Seitz will be amazing as well. Only downside for me is that while this fight is super good, I just don't like it very much. Writing-wise, it's kind of everything that I don't like about Endeavor as a character. I kind of wish that Horikoshi put more effort into Endeavor's atonement rather than his hero work. The closest this fight has to him atoning is just, him pretending to burn his past self yet again. Feels like a waste. Still though, for what it's worth, the hero side of Endeavor's character is still fun to watch despite not being written very well. Bones is doing a great job!
I get this take, but I feel like Endeavor's hero work IS a large part of his atonement (plus, not being abusive anymore and acknowledging his massive past shortcomings). What I'm saying is his atonement is shone through the introspection done through his hero work.

Jirou is a Bard, she. inspired the trapped quirks with her sound. Also, Fleeting Blow is one of my favorite Tokoyami moves since it shows he's been trying to figure out how to use Ragnarok in a well lit area, and not forcing himself to be a hero who's only viable in certain conditions
Shaking with excitment together, guys! Lots of crazy stuff on this episode. You guys gotta check the manga panels of Endeavor's "Wounded heroes are the scariest" and same one for AFO at the end when he starts rewinding. Loved this episode!!
spoiler free: the episodes adapt 4 chapters from the manga which is the last half of ch 355 to the first half of 359, which means ch 362 is next week (the chapter tha t was on twitter top 10 trending for the whole day) op: "curtain call" by ed' "sixth magnitude star" by zarame i honestly like both the ed and op alot and the op got me pumped when it showed certain fight and moments we will to see this season and foreshadows a few things that we will see next season the ep did this fight justice in the anime and was overall superb ep once again all round the endeavor origin added alot of depth to his character and really emphaises he started with good intention when he want to become a hero, i mean it tells us alot more about his character and shows us his drive to become to no 1 wasnt originally out selfish means but to become somebody who can always be there save people it absoultely doesnt excuse the abuse of his family but it does show that he flawed man who made mistakes and is now atoning for his actions and to earn his status as the no 1 the final panel of afo charred body with the blood shot eye to end ch 357 was a real "oh sh*t" moment espically with him talking about eri quirk and the visual of eri and the eraser bullet, alot of people were speculating one of them being the woman with the flowing hair that was grabbing onto afo vestige arm was related to eri in some capacity anime addition: the anime added the heat vision effects over afo when discussing his sensory quirks the anime added the panzer strafer coming out of his metal harness around his shoulders anime changes and removed: when afo thought about all might, the panel was changed in the manga from all might surrounded by fire to all might rearing his arm back to punch afo the anime cut off endeavor future vision of clas 1a, as it dosent fully show tsu, iida and kirishima when deku was flying over the ocean, the anime removes yoichi ( the first ofa user) appearing and saying "i got a bad feeling about this"
They absolutely went crazy on this episode. The visuals look incredible throughout the whole runtime, and they were able to pack in way more content than I was initially expecting. Its from this point on that this arc reaches goated tier for me and I think y'all understand why given what was shown. Thank you for the reactions! 🙇♂️
1:21:24 Shigaraki's arm grazed Bakugo's face when he caught his Howitzer Impact, that's why half his face is fucked up afterwards. You can tell because half of his mask has come off too.
About how bkg got his face hurt, what made most sense to me when I was reading the manga was that it was perhaps due to his own explosion. He has amazing control but we've never seen him create anything close to that. And he was ground zero for it. Either that, or Shigaraki grazed him somehow when he made to grab bkg's arm.

This episode was fantastic and was a great showing for both Endeavor and Bakugou! I was waiting for these scenes to be animated, wasn't expecting it to all be in one episode tho. Sadly, AFO always seems to have a plan to come back and just can't take the L
10/10 episode, even knowing what happens from the manga, I was sweating with excitement and this ep was so packed I thought it was longer, even had to check the timer to see if this was a longer episode

That's where things could've ended. But not this time. Wounded heroes are the scariest, that's true. But villains are also scariest when wounded. And AFO seemingly still has another trick up his sleeve.
Speaking of wounded people, Bakugo got pretty wounded in this episode. He thought about Deku and everything he's done as he fought Shigaraki. But it should be noted that while Bakugo did get his arm broken by Shigaraki that doesn't mean he's as powerless as he thinks. Bakugo's attack was the only attack so far that did visible damage to Shigaraki. It burned off nearly half of his face. Which is why he decided Bakugo's hands needed to go. And even more than that, Bakugo is Shigaraki's priority because despite Izuku and Bakugo's rocky relationship, he's closer to Izuku Midoriya than anyone else.

I love the reaction to the plot twist rewind. There's nothing more terrifying than growing ears and eyes in an AFO.
This episode was nothing short of outstanding and they gave me all the hype from these manga chapters all over again as I was just BLOWN AWAY by the jam packed demonstrations.
Jiro has been given the Van Gogh treatment with AFO and she STILL stands up. I guess when you’re staring down the devil and only lose an ear, you can count your blessings. And she unleashes her sound blasts. I gave her quirk a REALLY high grade and she took no time in demonstrating it. Not that it means much to AFO…until it suddenly does.
I remember being VERY stuck on what exactly happened to AFO in this fight when he got overwhelmed by Jiro. I thought the SaS vestige attack spread to AFO and results would inevitably impact both AFO and AFS. But what we have here is a long time coming reveal. AFO’s recoil. Like OFA, the recoil for such an immense quirk is equally as immense. The quirk rebellion. Having so many quirks and not full command of them can lead to them holding you back and using your body properly. Whether it’s because of copied quirks, the fact he’s nearly 200 years old and can’t use all the quirks he possesses due to his injuries, or Jiro just potentially hitting a sweet spot of overwhelming his INCREDIBLY boosted new senses that compensate his loss of his natural senses, there’s a LOT to consider. AFO loses his mask in him not moving as he needs to courtesy of precision strikes from Hawks, Tokoyami, and Jiro just doing what they can to overwhelm him.
And the image of him moving to devour a vestige was HORRIFYING. I wondered if that would take that quirk off the board for him or it was him just hyper focusing on using the one quirk to keep up the attack and putting his mask back together. But it’s not something Hawks, OR the kids can handle…but Endeavor IS ready for this. Back in the ring, and he loses an arm. Showing the power of AFO compared to the high ends he’s struggled against its now purely fight or flight. This isn’t the indestructible AFS body with All-Might steroids. But AFO IS on par with AFS so long as he is using quirks and AFS isn’t.
Endeavor is ready to destroy him and recalls how this all began. How he BECAME this power hungry hero. His father acted as a hero to save someone. And the effort killed both him AND the person he tried to save right before Enji’s eyes. Showing he lacked the power to perform what he needed to, and Endeavor vowing to never repeat the mistake. That…is a heck of a reason. And for it to turn into Endeavor vowing to spend the rest of his days hating himself but launching forward, accepting his own weakness, and making what is one of the CRAZIEST showdowns in this franchise.
Once Endeavor’s arm is off, his mask is gone. It’s not even him as a hero for this. It’s JUST the singular thought of saving those that have his back, and the singular thought to just NUKE this abomination of a human being. And we are treated to Endeavor’s freaking coolest moves as AFO struggles in vain to keep him back. (With the same quirk Nine used in the 2nd movie. That shield is quite busted.) He REMAKES HIS ARM out of fire, he’s struggling to stop his overheating so much the air he exhales is essentially boiled steam, and he just GOES WILD. AFO can’t even SEE right now and he knows the exact presence of what is before him. Ironically this wild primal behavior is the LAST THING AFO SAW. As in this is how ALL-MIGHT WAS IN THE LAST MOMENTS OF THEIR PRIME FIGHT. The power isn’t the same but the willpower IS. Endeavor just comet slams AFO to the ground with EVERY HERO AND VILLAIN RUNNING FOR THEIR LIVES TO NOT GET KILLED BY THIS. And he just DRAGS AFO ACROSS THE COUNTRYSIDE LEAVING A GIGANTIC WALL OF FIRE BEHIND HIM. It’s gotta be 50 feet tall! AFO goes to steal Hellflame from Endeavor but gets his hand FRIED INTO NOTHING BY ENDEAVOR USING LASER BEAM HEAT VISION. That’s A SUPERMAN MOVE RIGHT THERE. And RIGHT after he acknowledges he’s not a superhero he just shoots up into the sky to end AFO once and for all engulfing him in a star being a beacon to everyone at the scene.
But it does lead to AFO’s single most horrifying weapon. HOW THIS THING SURVIVED A FIRE AFO DIDN’T I HAVE NO IDEA. But we saw in the 1st war Shigaraki had a surplus of quirk deleters produced by Garaki. Of course once he realized what kind of quirk this was, he reverse engineered it. If it can effect nothing in your body BUT the quirk, can it effect EVERY part of your body WITHOUT effecting the quirk. And AFO regrows his ear, and looks at Endeavor dead in the eye. After all, he just injected a rewind dose. The only power I consider that truly rivals OFA and AFO.
But then we move onto AFS vs the heroes in the sky. AFS talks about ruling the world and how they are actually looking at the power that can do it. And I DO love how AFO makes his cartoonishly evil goals seem real when he demonstrates he CAN do it. We’ve seen the presence many times. Him breaking out of prison, him in Kamino, Shigaraki demonstrating decay…he thinks he can do it again. Except this time the heroes AND us should be able to blot it out.
And THIS is where Bakugo makes one of his finest moments. I’ve been critical of his sacrifice, his apology and how he acts towards others. But today, is where I know I can start to put that away. People aren’t just there to compete with. He’s working past his previous issues and doesn’t view those around him as extras. This is to Best Jeanist’s DELIGHT as this is what he was trying to teach him in season 2. And THIS time he says his hero name genuinely and not in his way of convincing him this name DOES NOT WORK. Bakugo has been asking too much of himself and been demanding others into a higher standard not even HE can stand on. But he’s here to just do EVERYTHING he can. This time the obstacle is something more than preventing his or All-Might’s victory. THIS is the conclusion Bakugo needed to come to and I now know I CAN trust him to not be a bully. I couldn’t up til now as he always managed to paint it differently or rolled it back too fast. He was afraid of this conclusion and now he FINALLY erupts past it and gets to demonstrate not that he’s the best of the best. But the best HE IS. And I know this conclusion is truly treated properly because it means so much to those around him…when most of the time it’s a dead giveaway they don’t know if they want to trust him and even if they want to STOP HIM. (Normally in interactions between Deku and Bakugo.) There’s NONE of that. Kaminari and Kirishima have gotten this side of Bakugo a bit more in full compared to the rest of the cast.
The business course prepares to historically document this fight because honestly the people NOT seeing the efforts of the heroes in most situations is EXACTLY why the people don’t know if they can trust their results. Now it’s no excuse.
Sadly as amazing as this is to see Bakugo just go CRAZY with all the support that can be provided him by everyone around him…this is still AFS. And he leaves little more than a small burn on him. DEFINITELY an upgrade from his 1st war moves but not enough. Bakugo’s arm is broken. And AFS preps to just make an example out of Bakugo and nothing more. After all…Deku still hasn’t made it to this fight yet.
Bones messed up Afo's eye colour in the earlier seasons, it's actually very light blue, almost white. I'm really happy that they fixed this. One thing that bothers me are Shigaraki's eyes, they should be lighter now too, since afo is in control of him, but Bones isn't animating that :(
@@noske6388 I liked how in one episode this season they made Shiggy's eyes look a flat, lighter red with no pupils. I think that fit really well. So it's extremely puzzling why they went back to animating his eyes the way they've always looked. Hope they fix it in Bluray lol

Honestly, Endeavor’s a great pro hero. That’s just like, a fact, regardless of how I feel about him. In a weird way, this fight kinda shows off his best and worst attributes, as a hero, and as a person. As a hero, he’ll be willing to sacrifice his own arm just to get the job done. But as a person, he’s been running from his responsibility and past for a ridiculously long time, and he’s no different here. He’s been unable to confront his past head on, and will settle for figuratively burning the past for the second time instead of actually continuing to atone like he promised he would. Ultimately, it speaks to the kind of person that he is, someone who’s brave enough to go head to head with a villain like All for One and accept his wrongdoings, but too much of a coward to ever confront his own abusive past and go out of his way to atone for it. He can only admit that he was wrong and continue to run.
All for One basically said “You’re awful,” expecting that to drag him down, and Endeavor just responded with, “you’re right, I am awful," and beats him.
In a super weird way, I guess Endeavor is the perfect number one hero for society as is. A flawed and corrupt face for a flawed and corrupt society.

This was a very good episode. The animation was stellar, the music choices were amazing, and the voice acting was godlike as always. Ngl, Endeavor's voice acting has always been the most consistently great thing about his character. Tetsu Inada really knocked it out of the park, and I'm sure Patrick Seitz will be amazing as well.
Only downside for me is that while this fight is super good, I just don't like it very much. Writing-wise, it's kind of everything that I don't like about Endeavor as a character. I kind of wish that Horikoshi put more effort into Endeavor's atonement rather than his hero work. The closest this fight has to him atoning is just, him pretending to burn his past self yet again. Feels like a waste. Still though, for what it's worth, the hero side of Endeavor's character is still fun to watch despite not being written very well. Bones is doing a great job!
I get this take, but I feel like Endeavor's hero work IS a large part of his atonement (plus, not being abusive anymore and acknowledging his massive past shortcomings). What I'm saying is his atonement is shone through the introspection done through his hero work.

Also, Fleeting Blow is one of my favorite Tokoyami moves since it shows he's been trying to figure out how to use Ragnarok in a well lit area, and not forcing himself to be a hero who's only viable in certain conditions

i honestly like both the ed and op alot and the op got me pumped when it showed certain fight and moments we will to see this season and foreshadows a few things that we will see next season
the ep did this fight justice in the anime and was overall superb ep once again all round
the endeavor origin added alot of depth to his character and really emphaises he started with good intention when he want to become a hero, i mean it tells us alot more about his character and shows us his drive to become to no 1 wasnt originally out selfish means but to become somebody who can always be there save people
it absoultely doesnt excuse the abuse of his family but it does show that he flawed man who made mistakes and is now atoning for his actions and to earn his status as the no 1
the final panel of afo charred body with the blood shot eye to end ch 357 was a real "oh sh*t" moment espically with him talking about eri quirk and the visual of eri and the eraser bullet, alot of people were speculating one of them being the woman with the flowing hair that was grabbing onto afo vestige arm was related to eri in some capacity

The Endeavor moment had me in tears
They absolutely went crazy on this episode. The visuals look incredible throughout the whole runtime, and they were able to pack in way more content than I was initially expecting. Its from this point on that this arc reaches goated tier for me and I think y'all understand why given what was shown. Thank you for the reactions! 🙇♂️

1:21:24 Shigaraki's arm grazed Bakugo's face when he caught his Howitzer Impact, that's why half his face is fucked up afterwards. You can tell because half of his mask has come off too.
About how bkg got his face hurt, what made most sense to me when I was reading the manga was that it was perhaps due to his own explosion. He has amazing control but we've never seen him create anything close to that. And he was ground zero for it.
Either that, or Shigaraki grazed him somehow when he made to grab bkg's arm.
