Hi Ian, I Loved it when you said 5 Things that wind you up when camping , I am sure I counted 7 or 8 . We walk the dogs just before bed and that keeps them happy till the morning walk usually 6:30 but we do bring a good bath mats just inside the van door and this is great for wet muddy dog feet , and yes that Blue light is as bright as spot light when everything is dark . So we've put blue tac over it as a previous comment said xx

Yes me too for blu tac! We keep the LPG gauge turned off, blu tac the others and hang a towel between the sun visors in the cab to cover the gap in the blind and the red alarm light. (Because we're too lazy to do you black out curtain)I also find a stiff gin before bed helps everything to be less annoying 😉

I also like reading your comments. its as useful as a sponge leg😆 we have a small bag stuffed with those really thin camping towels for drying the dogs feet or just putting them on top of the mat, they're great as they don't take up much space and they dry very quickly

We had an Autoquest 115 ( we’ve ordered a Compass cv40 and currently waiting for it. ) We had no problem with condensation when using TaylorMade silver screen,excellent product ,amazing quality does the trick . We always have a watering can with a piece of hose attached to it to top up the water it’s saves us moving the motorhome just to fill up with water. Love your videos they are so refreshingly informative and entertaining .

Karcher is a thumbs from us, we use it in the car house anywhere and it's very good, Aldi or Lidl was recently doing a very similar product for £20 but as I say our karcher is spot on, as for your sliding door we call them swish bang because that's what they sound like at night, it don't bother us as it's just part of camping wild or on sites it's just part of it, another fun vlog keep them coming.🙈🙉🙊

Absolutely love it, know what you mean about the lights, 'first night in our CV40 turned the lights off omg the fridge lights, blue lights reflecting off all the chrome trim !!! I just cut a piece of a cereal packet folded it and cliped it over, we just pop it on every night now, works a treat, mind don't have an that problem at the moment, as we don't have a fridge !!! I've also resited the smoke & Co2 alarms over to the front end above the dinning seat, as those flashing over our head were a nuisance!! Keep up your blogs
Thanks for the comment. The smoke alarm and carbon monoxide detector lights drove me mad too. I’ve used black insulating tape for those. I usually use a sock for the fridge but I’ve over engineered a solution that I will share when I get around to it. 👍🏻

Hope you’re feeling better, sorry to hear you have been poorly. It’s so true ref the water draining at a dump point on site - made me chuckle (not when you’re waiting for it though) I must get my drain valves installed and see if that makes a difference or it needs a more radical solution waiting for a fine day without wind. We had the same problem with our water gauge. They changed the gauge and the tank sensor, still didn't work. The engineer at Kimberley Caravans asked Elddis if it could be a circuit board at the back of the water gauge. Elddis said it couldn't be that as nothing would work. After trying everything else they tried that and guess what, it was that. Try ringing Kimberley Caravans, Kimberley branch. Hope this helps Jackie and Phil

Hi Ian, I had the same waste tap on my Elddis motorhome. I have converted it and its a lot better. Would send you details but can't find a link. Too much detail to put on here, but an easy job. Took about 2hrs.
@@TravellingfromScratch I'm 90% sure they buy the fresh and waste water tanks from C.A,K Tanks who build all their tanks with a small diameter outlet pipe. While CAK Tanks are the cheaper option, (no tanks on the market are cheap) Adding a larger outlet from the tank and larger waste pipe and a larger tap all costs extra money. Plus the profit margins on building tanks after material costs aren't great. The pump idea isn't mine. Mel did a video about fitting a 12v pump on the waste pipe a couple of months ago.

Hi Ian. Some vans have a soft close side door. It may be possible to get the items needed to retrofit the system to a cv40. Fiat must have part numbers required to order what is needed. Given the fact that both right hand drive and left hand drive vehicles, have the same size and weight side doors, I don’t see it would be difficult to do. Let me know if I can help you further. It’s the first time I have used two cameras Sylvia. Just experimenting to try and make my videos more entertaining for people. I wouldn’t watch them if I thought they were boring and I wouldn’t expect anyone else to. I just keep trying to improve. A little at a time. Baby steps at the moment. Pleased you enjoyed it. 👍🏻
Hi again,we have two jack Russells and we always keep a bucket of disinfected water ,a cloth and towel and clean their feet when ever they have been out and about .we even do that at home too the thing is you don't know what they have been walking in,like today when I took them out for a walk I cought one of them rolling on his back on top of a rotting dead rat or some times they find some fox crap to roll in and boy does it stink.So while you may think it's a bit of a chore cleaning their feet it's also keeping you and Julie safe from infection especially when you are all cramped up to gether in a motorhome.any way keep on rambling and look forward to your next video,oh and don't waste your hard earned money on a window vac,bite the bullet and get yourself some external silver screens they really do stop the condensation on the windscreen and they only take a few minutes to put on and take off.bye for now.

Hi Steve. I love the van. I could definitely buy it again. If not the cv40 I might go for the cv20 next time. I think they are great. Despite a few quality control teething troubles. Very minor things really. Affording the diesel is what worries me with todays prices. 🙁

You can install a small diameter 12v pump on the drain pipe. It will speed up empting the waste tank at least 3-4 times.
