I loved this (and still do) so much. I loved the fact that they were dressed in such a plain, nondescript style, all had plain short haircuts, the crude lettering of the band name on the drum, the lo-fi video. It was as if they had put everything, EVERYTHING into this incredible, intense, focused knife blade of a song, and they knew that all the rest was superfluous.

No matter how many amazing tracks I put on my 00s era mix cds(made for friends and gfs) this song was always asked about. The Rat had that urgency and sound people gravitated to not knowing who it was. This cut made most every mix coz it’s stone cold awesome.

You've got a nerve to be asking a favor
You've got a nerve to be calling my number
I'm sure we've been through this before
Can't you hear me? I'm beating on your wall
Can't you see me? I'm pounding on your door

This song reminds me of True Crime NYC. Good times those were back then.

    You've got
    A nerve
    To be asking
    A favor
    You've got
    A nerve
    To be calling
    My number
    I know
    We've been
    Through this
    Before
    Can't you hear
    Me I'm
    Calling out
    Your name
    Can't you see
    Me I'm
    Pounding on
    Your door
    You've got
    A nerve
    To be asking
    A favor
    You've got
    A nerve
    To be calling
    My number
    Can't you hear
    Me I'm
    Bleeding on
    The wall
    Can't you see
    Me I'm
    Pounding on
    Your door
    Can't you hear
    Me When I'm
    Calling out
    Your name
    When I used
    To go out
    I would know
    Everyone
    That I saw
    Now I go out
    Alone If
    I go out
    At all
    When I used
    To go out
    I'd know everyone
    I saw
    Now I go out
    Alone if
    I go out
    At all
    When I used
    To go out
    I'd know everyone
    That I saw
    Now I go out
    Alone if
    I go out
    At all
    You've got
    A nerve
    To be asking
    A favor
    You've got
    A nerve
    To be calling
    My number
