Hi this was very helpful, can you make a video for the documents you need to prepare because I live in the Netherlands and I don’t see much information about te documents ? I want to apply to Underwood but I don’t know which documents to prepare?
That sounds like a great idea! I’ll get to making that video for sure. Wondering if I should do a bit more on my journey in Seoul… do you think that would be helpful? Xx
Thank you! This is really helpful. One question though, was sharing a bathroom in a shared house as bad as sharing a bathroom in the dorms? Is the plumbing in both accommodations relatively the same?
Hey there! I can only speak to my experience at Yonsei university and staying at the shared house I stayed in, but it really is night and day. At Yonsei it was harder than I had expected, in the shared house, I was able to flush tissue down the toilet lol! Let me know if you have any other questions at all! xx
In order to apply for a shared house do you need your ARC, therefore is it better to stay in the dorms for the first semester and then the share house second semester and on? Great vid btw💕
Hey there! Thank you so much for watching the video and reaching out with your question! So I can only speak from my experience, but my ARC card was not required when I was looking to stay at a share house. My passport was the only documentation that they needed. However, as I went in 2018/19, the requirements may be different now. I would reach out to prospective sharehouse managers and ask them directly what they need from you in order to stay there. Let me know if you have any other questions at all! x
Hello, wonderful video, I loved it. I am currently living at the dormitory at Hanyang University and I am interested in moving to a shared house 😌 Would you mind to share recommendations about where to find them?
Hi @eggnationnn, My sister and I are so glad you enjoyed this video and found it helpful. So when I was searching I typed in Google shared houses in Korea and various "Airbnb"-like sites popped up. I will be posting an in-depth video on this topic in the next few weeks so stay tuned :)
Awesome video! Thank you for all the details. I must have missed it but how much was your rent for the shared house and did you have your own room? Lastly, how was your overall experience of Korea? Would you live there long term.. sorry to bombard you with all the questions lol ty!
Hey! We are so glad that you like the video and found it very informative. So I paid ₩690,000 per month (excluding bills but the bills per month came to ₩60,000 - ₩80,000 each month). I did have my own room, however the room I got wasn't big at all! I did enjoy my time in Korea. Of course there were a few negative experiences but not enough to deter me from visiting Korea again. I'm not sure if I would live there long term, but if I have the option to go again for work then I would definitely jump at the opportunity. I hope this helps!
Love that for you! So I am actually releasing a video this month on the shared house websites I would recommend. I know this video is delayed but all the site I used are outdated and had to ensure I was knowledge was up to date. So stay tuned, it is coming very soon!! x

I did have my own room, however the room I got wasn't that big at all! I hope this helps!
Hey, thank you for the helpful video. May I ask a few questions. Are there on campus dorms that are for one person only? Are the share houses occupied by your fellow university students or are there a variety of people? Are the off campus houses managed by the school or someone else? Thank you!
Thank you so much for watching the video and reaching out on your questions! So with the campus dorms, I can only speak on yonsei but in Sk Global they do offer single rooms but these are limited and go really fast. With the shared houses, there is a variety of people but most will be university students or young professionals. The off campus houses are managed by someone else. Let us know if you have any further questions! Thanks again!! xx
@@doubledoseofchi Thank you for the reply,do you by any chance have recommendations for art universities in SK,I've done my research but not satisfied with the results. Thank you so much!!
Thank you for making this video! I wasn't able to get on-campus housing at Yonsei so this has been really helpful in considering alternative options.
