they sent one of these things to every reviewer on YT, but there's still no announcement of when anyone else can get one or how crazy the price is going to be
I have this phone and I love it. The speaker is not weak.I'd rate it a 7.5 out of 10.The screen is beautiful. The phone is nice and fast. The hardware is the best Ive ever seen on a phone.Theres nothing wrong with the back button
I'm buying this for the removable battery alone. I don't know why so many people look down on removable batteries. I can keep my phone running for longer than a year with new batteries.
What is the sticker on the back cover for? It looks like it goes around the camera lenses but the small bit of rubber on the outside above the lenses makes me think it's for the antenna. You can see it at 6:10 in the video.
Samsung can't seem to catch a break with the Galaxy Note7 recall. For a while it looked like the replacement devices would put the exploding battery concerns to bed, but now it appears that the saga may be far from over. The new batteries may no longer be a fire hazard, but follow-up reports from customers who have received replacement Galaxy Note7 units in South Korea reveal that they come with their own set of issues. The batteries that Samsung uses in the replacement Galaxy Note7 units are said to overheat and lose battery life quickly. The first issue has not caused any device to catch fire so far, though, and can actually be considered as normal given the fact that the smartphone makes use of fast charging technology to top up its 3,500mAh battery rather quickly. The battery life issue is unexpected and, quite possibly, more pressing. Customers say that the battery usage graph on their new units shows "inconsistent" charging. A report claims that a replacement Galaxy Note7 lost 40 percent charge "quickly" -- and overheated -- after being plugged in for charging. These could very well be software issues which Samsung could easily fix through a software update, but whatever the reason for these problems the company better fix them as soon as possible. Most customers will probably forgive it for making them go through the hassle of exchanging affected Galaxy Note7s, but they will surely have a problem with receiving units touted to be "safe" that still fail to work as expected.
After spending hundreds of dollars on a device you will use all day every day, you will want it to feel premium and durable. Plastic devices have a feel of cheapness and antiquated style. In the past phones were plastic, but also cheaper. Now when phones cost much much more, you will want a metallic/glass design choice.
billy A plastic backed phone falls off your counter. MY metal backed one falls off another. SUCKS TO B UUUUUU cuz I KNOWWW my screen isn't fooked! U? AWWWM U can use mine hunny boom. I bet it's influencing that DARN performance NOW with no functioning screen, eh!!!?? YAAAAY, he knows Way more than we do about all things tech! (I'm totally picking with u bc I wouldn't have known that too many years ago either. Ur annoyance was cute & sounded like u were taking a teeny tiny bebe bad mood out on this dude who was taking up TOO MUCH OF YOUR DAMN TIME, DAMNIT!! Just tell her if it's fast n stuff!!!! ;-) GOSH HE'S SO DORKY TO CARE WHAT MATERIAL IT'S MADE OF!!! UGGGGH. DORK!!! Think of plastic vs metal cars hitting each other. They go SMOOSH REALLY FAST.
I think Beau HD is very fond of eating nails! As you can see in the video, his finger's skin is little bit peeling off! What do you think? I know this comment is a creepy one! HAHAHA!
If I had this phone, I would be replacing the stock battery for an extended one, like the ~9000mAh battery that Zerolemon made for the V10. ~$60 for an extended battery is such a worthwhile investment when then the phone actually lasts you multiple days per charge. Infinitely better than carrying around a damn power bank that's always going flat and a USB cable that will invariably get broken in the process of charging the phone. Assuming the phone with an NRB will even let you charge it at all.
5:28 is that the front facing camera of the V20 ? Why LG still can't do video without framedrops and not sharp at all!? Last phone I bought from LG was the G2, excellent phone except the camera which was a nightmare. It took well-enough pictures in broad daylight, but it was teeeerrible indoors or in low light. Video too, if you were recording on a sunny day and went inside or get under a strong shadow or something not that well iluminated, the frames from the video went from 60 to less than 20 or even lower than that. I was looking forward for the V20, but it seems LG can't still compete with Samsung or others OEMs in the camera department. :S
I'm guessing no one knew what 86 meant. When he said 86 he reminded me of that one episode of kitchen nightmares when Gordon Ramsey didn't like something the owner or something 86'd it
does anyone know when this comes out!? I need this thing, I'm still on the note 2 and it only holds a charge for like 4 hours lol I'm in a desperate need for a change
I love this phone especially the 5.7 inches..I wish S7 edge or iphone 7 was like that mehn, I could have getting it instead of waiting for untimely phone(V20)
I got the LG v20 last week since I had to return my note 7. Is it me only or do one always have to use manual settings to get a good picture? the pictures taken from the auto mode are super bad and I always have to use the manual mode. My note 4 and previous 7 took better photos without even manual mode. Please help!
Hey, I'm looking to buy a new phone because my Droid Turbo 2014's WiFi radio is no longer working. What's a good Android phone to get? I've been a stock Android guy since the Note 2. I've always preferred it to the skins that Samsung and LG put on their phones. However, I've been hearing that the skins have gotten much better recently. Is there anything you would recommend for someone coming from stock android? or should I just wait for the google Pixel?
sooo... I may have accidentally reported your comment, but anyways, if I were to get a moto z I would wait until the Verizon exclusivity period was over. I have not had good experiences with locked carrier exclusives. Specifically, my droid turbo is still on 5.1, which it only got 8 months after it was announced we'd get the update, about a year after it was promised 6.0. The non-carrier exclusive would (probably) at least let me unlock the bootloader and get timely updates through cyanogen mod.
I had the HTC Desire, loved it. I now have the V20. Really love it. The only setback is finding a hands free device that will pair. The high nougat makes bluetooth options slim...
It's called titan and it's more of a dark gray. I want a pitch black version or even a black and red variant. I guess it doesn't matter after you put a case on it.
Very good point about Samsung. You gotta be as perfect as Nintendo in order to keep the phone's back cover non-removable and waterproof. I'm sticking with the he LG line.
Using v20 to watch this video,I think the only way that make v20 no good is the Battery. The Battery is very easy to run out. but it have two Battery. so not a big problem. but somebody say we can't always change the Battery, we need to use same Battery at least 1 week,is it? ,is it?
BILLY Allen A 5.7" display is way too big for me, I want to be able to handle the phone one-handed without feeling like I am going to drop it. A large display might be better for you, but not for me :)
BILLY Allen I don't think it will feel small enough in my hands since an iPhone 6/6s/7 Plus feels enormous to me, and those phones are all narrower than the LG V20. You are not changing my opinion, please accept that.
Stylus, Water resistance and front facing speaker would've been killer. Samsung took some big steps backwards IMO not having an IR blaster and removable battery. I had the phone for 5 days before battery explosion probs and returned it. Long lasting battery is Crucial for me. I cant babysit a cord. Note 3 here with 4600 MAH extended battery. I cant part with this phone..I'm trying to look for new phones to buy for business yet this note 3 with power wins everytime.
The moment he said the build feels like the G5 with it's plastic back and the speaker phone was weak in sound this review lost credibility. That's two of the elements 98% of the reviews have raved about especially, especially the audio. No phone on the market comes close to the audio output. I had to rewind a few times to make sure i heard right. I'm suspicious about this post. Either you didn't do your homework or you wanted to point out cons just to sound legit. You didn't even know how to enable the app drawer for goodness sake!! Credibility lost Lool
There's an app drawer setting in the settings
yes tru
allen Brown cool. gtk!
V20 looks like a beast only missing feature missing is water resistant.
That Lg skin is horrible though they should have just got with Google to handle the software for the V20 hahaha!
Mike Cox Skins are no problem it's android slap on a launcher and your good to go.
Abdul G I agree with you but I may pass on this device and wait for the Note 7 to get back running again.
Mike Cox Each to it's own
No wireless charging either
This device is bad ass for sure! Can't wait for the review's on this device......
i've seen so many videos about this phone and no one said something about the back cover, which isn't painted by the way.
I agree, LG should start putting OLED in their smartphones again.
It's only a matter of time, right?
***** Yes sir!
multitasking feature is the best!! now i can watch youtube and text my friends at the same time
Batool exactly something I was thinking
Impressive! A pro unit! Great comeback LG!
This is the first review that did not say the back feels like metal this time and NOT like the G5
There is an app drawer, you just have to select the other home launcher with the app drawer.
There is an option in the settings to enable it.
First time I've watched a phonedog video in years.
they sent one of these things to every reviewer on YT, but there's still no announcement of when anyone else can get one or how crazy the price is going to be
Looks like an amazing phone. I have and love the V10 and I'm definitely thinking of upgrading to this.

I like the removable battery hope all phones don't get rid of this feature.
Is it released in the U.S market yet? If not, when will it be?
I want to get my hands on it
should be October 21 ?
pre orders start on October 17
you're BS, 672?
ye Ithe Verizon model, which is the one I have is $672

Sweet looking phone although, I wish they would've stuck with their unique volume placement like on my LG G3..imo of course.
Am I the only one that liked the G5 a lot? Yes? OK...
I liked it as well, but I like this more, and I'll buy it if it comes to Europe
I understand most [if not all] of the units being sent out are pre-production models, but did anyone notice the uneven/chipped paint on the rear?
LG would have been smart to push the V20 sooner to capture some of the market share from disgruntled Note 7 users
some note 7 users have decided to switch over to the v20 already
Olivia Russell... I will as soon as its released on T-mobile, which is Friday the 28th.
Im so ready for the v20 been waiting for awhile for it
why would it matter if the back panel is metal or plastic? does it make a difference in the operation of the phone?
Yes- it matters.
After spending hundreds of dollars on a device you will use all day every day, you will want it to feel premium and durable. Plastic devices have a feel of cheapness and antiquated style. if I hadn't bought an LG G5 already I would definitely buy this beast
MyLeoOne Sell it and get this one lol
user here.. love this phone❤❤
if you go into settings and home you can get app drawer back. and back is all metal not plastic
I adore this phone.. really
Where is Marco Hanna? Is he still making and producing videos for Phonedog?
the comment about Samsung and the removable battery got me haha
Lg coming in clutch with this new phone
can't you purchase wireless charger covers and batteries? or am I wrong?
I think Beau HD is very fond of eating nails! As you can see in the video, his finger's skin is little bit peeling off!
What do you think?

amazing gorgeous smartphone😍
What is the max impedance that DAC can handle?

Im hooked now
is this phone good does it handle bass at concerts?
Will the headphones be included in the final shipped unit?
true bro, if they had made the battery separate, samsung would not have been in so much trouble like now
Will this work with a external microphone for video recording?
Does the phone come with the earbuds if you buy it from a carrier?
i'm getting the v20 since samsung got rid of the note 7
I'm guessing no one knew what 86 meant. When he said 86 he reminded me of that one episode of kitchen nightmares when Gordon Ramsey didn't like something the owner or something 86'd it
Lol it is definitely a term I picked up from my dishwashing days...
does anyone know when this comes out!? I need this thing, I'm still on the note 2 and it only holds a charge for like 4 hours lol I'm in a desperate need for a change
I love this phone especially the 5.7 inches..I wish S7 edge or iphone 7 was like that mehn, I could have getting it instead of waiting for untimely phone(V20)
$829 dollars from AT&T crazy prices on these phones! fuck.
$746.xx from TMobile.com LG raised price due to no competition with Samsung now.
374$ from Newegg
I got the LG v20 last week since I had to return my note 7. what carrier did you purchase this from. I need those headphones
The back cover is MIL-STD 810G aluminum. What are you talking about a thick coat of paint?
don't know whats wrong with your v20 but my speaker sounds pretty damn good and my last phone was the note 5
Is it possible to mod it to do wireless charging? I can't see a way without those pins.
Check in Amazon for the wireless charging sticker-like film.
Is LG good at pushing out new android updates?
what is the price range of this lg v20
750
$672 on Verizon
The dac and camera and overall performance interest me but its too big and the build quality looks a bit sloppy
Better DAC than the HTC?
How can colors look good when color calibration is so bad on it?
Can it use the v10 battery?
i want to buy this phone, but hows the battery life?
Will Sprint offer the headphones free with LG v20? Or will it be an extra cost?
I have hread that the headphones will not be included with the US carriers. I hope that isn't true, those headphones look good.
...i heard you can drain this phone's battery in 3hrs just from watching HD video.
just got my replacement NOTE 7 YEA BABY!!!!!!!!!!! Great pocket computer.
More like a molotov cocktail 💥🔥😂
G. Flex Lmao
H3H3 earbuds? count me in

Plz answer what do you use as ur everyday phone
currently HTC Desire eye. future should be LG v20 .
LG G3!
I had the HTC Desire, loved it. I now have the V20. Really love it. The only setback is finding a hands free device that will pair. The high nougat makes bluetooth options slim...
Question:Does the battery fit on the v10?
Nope , it seems to be a different battery. Sad though . my v10 has really bad battery life
it looks like a good phone but not enough new features for me to upgrade my V10
After experiencing wireless charging I can't go back...
True, especially if when you mean "experiencing" you mean "spent a shitload of money buying wireless chargers," then absolutely. Lol
The V20 supports wireless charging with the Snapdragon 820 which supports the AirFuel wireless charging standard in the near future.
Actually got my wireless charging system for free with my purchase.
Wish they made this in black, but the phone looks to be a great upgrade to the V10.
it does have a black color. it comes in 3 different colors. black, silver and pink.
It's called titan and it's more of a dark gray. I want a pitch black version or even a black and red variant. I guess it doesn't matter after you put a case on it.
Yep.
Very good point about Samsung. You gotta be as perfect as Nintendo in order to keep the phone's back cover non-removable and waterproof. I'm sticking with the he LG line.
best phone of 2016
I'm gonna stock like 6 of these so when the phones all remove headphone jacks I'll be safe

usb 3.0?
LG Eternal Loops is you here to? LG loose me for this big problem in his terminal

they will surley takeout extended batteries for the v20. they have it for the v10, zerolemon 6000mah or just carry a spare battery.
Why would you want an amoled display? They have burn in.
I'd love this phone without the second screen
is the lg v20 water resistant
V20 or S7 edge

Metal Michael did you return your note 7 they recalling ever note 7 :(
water/dust resist
Yeah, but if you have the v20 like I do, you can careless about the iPhone because you wanted a real phone.
Очень достойный аппарат - для музыкантов )
Thick coat of paint? It's the highest grade aluminum ever used in a phone. JFC, do some research.
he had me at "headphone jack" but the price.... $900 yikes...
I hate the g5 look.
I didn't get those ear buds...
Kendrick Lamar me either I'm pretty upset
Looks like the Blackberry Z30
