I can already tell I'm going to become so addicted to this game! Making nearly impossible stages for my friends to play and then watching them squirm trying to beat them? Yes please. >:-)
Nintendo could have a gold mine with this one if they do it right. Make some sort of share feature online where people can play other gamer's creations. Have a way to create entire worlds and even full blown games. The potential is huge with this one but Nintendo needs to listen to the fans.
Does anybody else think Nintendo should make a Mario Maker for 3D Mario games? Think about it. You could make your own Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine. Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2, Super Mario 3D Land, and maybe even Super Mario 3D World levels.
I'm only concerned about the lack of Super Mario Bros 2. I know that game was an entirely different engine completely but still, feels left out. Although I wonder, would Mario 3 items such as a Tanooki suit work in a Mario World level? Probably not.
DFS Music Well in the "DLC" for the GBA version of Mario 3 you can use the Mario World cape and pick up vegetables like in Mario 2 so, maybe they could do that if that change the animation which they've done here.
Derpy_Dude Some will be easy, some will be hard, some will be so challenging you have to be Chuck Norris/Jesus Christ/Morgan Freeman aka God/, etc just to beat them
Simply amazing! I knew that they would have all the Mario themes in this game!!! Ignorant people thought that it was just going to be the original look and the NSMBU look. . . why do the fools always underestimate Nintendo's first part studios?!!!!
The only things left I want to see in this game/engine are: 1) SMB2 Tilesets and stuff. 2) Custom Graphics support. 3) World maps. 4) Layers and Events (like in SMBX). 5) More enemies, tileset objects and items from original games. Also, hope that sound glitch will be fixed, at 0:54.
Hoping it gives us access to the Mario 3 and Mario World power-ups as well as the art assets; being able to make levels based specifically around the abilities of Hammer Bro. Mario or Cape Mario would be beyond cool.
Cam TriforceMan well it did have the tanooki suit at the end of the trailer which is only on super Mario bros 3, so there probably is exclusive power ups from each theme.
I'm pretty sure you can use any power up in any theme. The themes don't change anything except for the graphics and sound effects. For example, Mario is riding a Lakitu cloud in the SMB theme, and Paragoombas are shown off in the SMB theme, even though they weren't introduced until SMB3
I really love this concept. This game has real potential, i can see a game night with my friends and I challenging each other to the near-impossible levels that we throw together.
My top 10 things I would like to see in Mario Maker: 1) World maps. Let us make entire Mario games instead of just levels 2) Let us have no limits to how big our levels can be 3) Star Coins/Other collectables 4) Let us choose which gameplay style we want for a level (the creator can choose the gameplay style the player is going to play the level in, do not restrict the gameplay to be just Super Mario bros, but let us play the game like Super Mario World if we want to for an example) 5) Boss fights 6) NPC's (toads) and text bubbles 7) Let us choose which music we want for each level 8) Vertical levels 9) Multiplayer 10) Auto-scrolling levels If Nintendo implements these features into Mario Maker, then I think this will be an absolutely amazing level creator and game.
Super Mario World. The pinnacle of video games returns. My concern is that it will play like Super Mario Bros when it looks like Super Mario World. Lunar Magic (Super Mario World ROM editor) has been my life since the internet became a thing. The editor in this is better, but can it edit the same amount of content and play like Mario World? I want to upload an overworld with my own levels for others to play. I want a cape powerup that performs exactly like the cape from Mario World. I will use these tools to make levels with capes and narrow spaces between walls and lava. Welcome back Nintendo. There has been a void in my life since the 90's that no amount of 3D shooters can fill.
At the swimming part (around 0:40 i believe) the swimming physics between SMB and SMW are different, so we should expect SMW to play the same way it played back in the SNES days.
There seems to be some physics stuff going on because near the end when they give you the final look at the NSMBU theme, Mario did wall jumps then ground pounded. Neither were in Super Mario Bros. 1 or 3 as far as I know.
When they showed it off at E3 they had the Super Mario Bros. and New Super Mario Bros. U artstyles, but both ran with a Super Mario Bros. style physics engine.
0:27 Look how the objects looked like the original version (palette changes with the theme, Lakitu's cloud, firebar, 8-bit NES font). Why did they deleted those details?
Well... They've confirmed online for this. If that's not what you mean, can you please explain, because I have no clue how Multiplayer would work with this title ;o
See, by online, they just mean sharing stages you've created over the internet. Multiplayer, however, would be being able to play your stage with 4 of you friends.
"Only on Wii U" I hoped for a 3DS release, but I plan on eventually getting a Wii U anyway, mostly because of Super Smash Bros. U and Mario Kart 8... Then again, NES Remix also got a 3DS release recently, so...
They could do a half way point. Give you the ability to download and play levels, you just can't make any levels. Maybe make it an eShop exclusive for a cheap price and throw in some Nintendo made levels.
I don't think the stuff from a game is limited to said game's theme. As an example, look at the arrow signboards at the start. They were not in Super Mario Bros. 3 OR Super Mario Bros. 1, but they just managed to get in both of the styles, with brand new graphics. And as another example, the mushroom platform. It did not appear in SMB3, yet the player switches the style from New Super Mario Bros. U to SMB3, and the mushroom was still there, again with new graphics. And as the final example I have, the Grand Goombas in SMB3 style. Grand Goombas are the big Goombas which turn into smaller ones when stomped. So yeah, Raccoon Mario in SMB1, NSMBU and SMB3 styles! Hype.
***** I didn't mean the engines. :P And, I'm pretty sure many things from NSMBU will return, and also the Fire Flower. 1. You can't ride a Lakitu Cloud in SMB1. 2. In NSMBU it is only possible to ride a Lakitu Cloud using a Fire Flower or another way of attacking which isn't jump IIRC.
Also, wouldn't it be bad design if you could actually switch engines/styles midway in a level? Players could manipulate engines to glitch the level very easily.
***** I'm excited too, but still. If one switches an engine where you are not supposed to such as a place where you have to carry a trampoline over to an area to hop on it to get past, one can just switch to NSMBU and wall jump. But I would love it if it had some tile or some zone feature where you can not switch engines, but the other parts you can!
They said at E3 that even the NSMBU still had the retro jumping mechanics, so, I assume that you can somehow change the mechanics for the whole map, rather then get different mechanics for each engine. Basically, the engine is more of a pallet-swap.
***** IMHO it's very enjoyable to see stuff from new games in old games and old games in new games (especially!). That's what I like most about Mario Maker.
I wish the versions all had their original physics though. It's going to be hard playing the SMW version with NSMBU physics. It just won't feel right. It's gonna feel like playing Sonic 4 episode 1 with a Sonic 1 paint job.
I know they won't. I've come to learn that when Nintendo show a game in development a second time, it's more or less the final build of the game and from what I can see, all of the versions have NSMBU physics so it's already too late for me to ask.
No idea, that would be... er.... Ugh, you know what? Imagine how possible sprite editing is. Think about it in your head to see if I'm right. I have nothing else to say because I don't know what else to say right now. .-.
Huh, I actually might want to try this out, as for which version, as much as I think all of them are cool, I might use the Super Mario World one the most, idk out of all the mario games that one was my all time favorite
Super Mario Bros. 3 I didn't like that much, or at least not as much as some of the other ones. Idk I mean I liked the powerups, I liked some of the levels or worlds (the giant one was pretty damn epic), but I still preferred games like Super Mario World, Super Mario 64, etc., I still won't deny the impact it had and I can definitely see why people like it
Evan Piche My god I actually had that game on my Game Boy Advance SP that I got for Christmas (and the same with SMWA), I freaking loved it. SNES, GBA, doesn't matter, still a flipping awesome game :3 Derpy_Dude Both are great games my friend :3
Things that I want for this game: Bosses Custom music Being able to switch music during editing Yoshi and baby yoshis Being able to play as luigi, toad, nabbit, etc.
When Nintendo first announced this game, my only problem with it was that it was lacking "Mario Bros 3" and "Mario World" art styles. Today Nintendo granted my wish, making me ten times more excited for this game!
Looks miles better than what we saw at E3.......Seems like Nintendo is making a comeback; Starfox, Mario Maker,Zelda U,Splatoon, Captain Toad, Smash bros., Mario Kart 8......We have gotten, and are getting, tons of great games recently. Keep it up Nintendo! I know you can!
It would be so cool if you could make like level playlists. Like first I'm going to take on this one level I made, then an underwater one I found on Miiverse, then take on a boss. It would be so cool!
I just thought of something! It would be so much fun if they gave us a chance to design an overworld as well, where we could place all the levels we create, in the same way as ex. Mario 3!:)
Nintendo won the award show with these videos! I was worried that Mario Maker was only going to have the original Mario and Bros U. Now with Mario 3 and Mario World as well I'm happier then a peach!
I cannot wait for this to come out. The first trailer made me think there were only a few staple enemies and obstacles to use, but this definitely lives up to my expectations. Especially happy to see that levels can stretch vertically as well, rather than just horizontally. Also, Super Mario Bros. 3 graphics are the coolest part!
I hope nintendo uses this to release official game packs that are designed to be a bunch of levels with a beginning and end like from a full mario game
Matthew Jones "This game will suck if sharing is not available" "It does, it has been confirmed" "oh, ummm... ermmm... YEAH BUT IT DOESNT HAVE THIS [SPECIFIC THING] SO IT WILL SUCK" and if later they confirm that, you'll look for something else to complain, heh.
This game looks so much crisper than at E3. The sprites are amazing and as this game continues to expand like Zelda U, they are games I'm sure I'll be spending many hours on. Its accessible but also isn't restrictive. The look and interface are perfect for Wii U and show its good that they waited to make this game as they could even include Wii remote control to drag across items even if the gamepad will be amazing to use.
Cole Lapp I really can't say right now. I just got my WiiU a couple weeks ago. I have diffently had the 3DS longer. Honestly I would rather have the WiiU gamepad for this game. A 3DS version would be cool anyway.
Wow, I'm really looking towards this Mario Maker! It's just so epic and especially the 1:00 part in the video wants ME TO MAKE SOME OWN LEVELS TOO!! :)
This new update just cemented Mario Maker's greatness. Being able to switch between two of the greatest mario games of all time (SMB3/SMW), AND having level-creating capabilities beyond the actual game mechanics. Def. buying this now
0:46 proof that stuff from one game theme will work in another theme, that black she'll guy (forgot his name) was in his SMB1 style, in SMB1 he was blueish but in SMB3 he was pure black, so he was probably placed in SMB1 mode and played in SMB3 mode.
The SEA that's exactly why I thought the amiibo figures should be compatible with mario maker xD I thought this as soon as they revealed the game and the figures xD
What we still need: -More Characters (Luigi, Blue Toad, Yellow Toad, Peach, Nabbit) -Custom Music (Like an upgraded version of Mario Paint Composer) -SMB2 Style -ALL Items that existed in SMB, SMB2, SMB3, SMW and NSMBU -ALL Enemies that existed in... ^ -Some Dolby Surround -Team Creation (2-4 Players edit the level) -New stuff that never existed in a Mario game
Oh boy. they better make it online so people can share all their impossible stages... I mean, that's the obvious thing to do. In which case, SIGN ME UP. A mario game with an INFINITE number of ridiculous difficult stages? Oh God, I'm choking on my tears.
The only question I need answered is how do the physics work? Is Mario fit and responsive like in the older games, or does he slog around like a wet sack of sand like in New Super Mario Bros? I hope dearly for the former or at least for it to change based on the tileset you choose. This is looking very fun overall, but I am definitely weary about the control physics.
This title really is shaping up to be amazing, loads more content every time we see it. Reminds me of 3D World where the first trailer was a bit underwhelming, while the second one blew me away. I'm just hoping there will be online creation sharing. That or at least some kind of QR code scanning for levels.
YES!!! When Mario Maker was first announced, I was pretty disappointed at the lack of Super Mario Bros. 3 (my favorite game of all time), but this announcement makes me really excited to create/play new levels!
I have always wanted to create my own Mario levels ever since I was a kid. Sure there were romhack tools that could give similar results but they were too complicated to understand and get a hold. Now finally after all these year I can make Mario levels in a fun and easy to use interface with lots of possibilities. It's even better than I ever imagined!!
Let's see, we have the styles of SMB 1 and 3, SMW, and NSMB. That's awesome, any chance of GBA/SNES versions of SMB 1, 3, and World? That would be awesome too. The only thing I don't get is making the 3 old versions like the new style, like the sound when Mario was stomping Goombas at 1:35, and shadows on stuff at 1:42. Seems they're making this more customizable, as you can put wings on any enemy like what's shown with the Spinies at 1:42, putting coins in Bullet Bill cannons, putting Piranha Plants in ? Blocks, and Lakitus throwing coins at 1:58. Good, we have the raccoon leaf back from SMB3, I'm hoping for every single power up in this and that also includes the Gold Flower and cape. Another minor change seems to be that the texture for new Mario looks a bit shiny, different from NSMBU. But there's 4 very important features that Mario Maker needs, and that's a world map creator because I'm pretty sure people would prefer to make their own full games, not single levels on their own. We also need a title screen maker, and a cutscene maker, but that would probably be a little hard to do but it would still be cool to make your own intros and endings like in NSMB and SMW. Also, custom stuff transferred from a USB from a computer is a feature that should be put in, such as music and sprites and other stuff. Oh, and we MUST have Yoshi and baby Yoshi's! Pretty sure this is it, can't wait for its release. :) Edit: We need Luigi, the toads and multiplayer.
I can already tell I'm going to become so addicted to this game! Making nearly impossible stages for my friends to play and then watching them squirm trying to beat them? Yes please. >:-)
SUCH A HUGE FAN
That would be great! 😁
Can't wait till you review and play it Josh :)
#prosmashtour
We don't know if there will be online yet tho....
Nintendo could have a gold mine with this one if they do it right. Make some sort of share feature online where people can play other gamer's creations. Have a way to create entire worlds and even full blown games. The potential is huge with this one but Nintendo needs to listen to the fans.
You know Nintendo already say that Mario Maker will have deticated servers for sharing
why would they release a level editor and not make it availible through online?
online support, check.
now we just need full games and we're all set
Nintendo already confirmed that this game is all about sharing levels online.
Mario Maker: Nintendo's own "Little Big Planet".
Wouldn't it be hard to make an interface for that?
Love your thinking! But it would be kinda hard, I'm thinking of ways they could do it and it can be done but it would probably take years.
I think it would be hard to do that with Galaxy, but 64, Sunshine, and 3D World can definitely work.
timsin999 It would be like Halo's FORGE mode.
timsin999
This. . . . But I am sure they would think of something.
Maybe put the interface from Graffiti Kingdom? I personally like it :P
It’s so surreal how different this is compared to the final version.
I honestly thought they forgot about the 16-bit era. I'm relieved to see that they didnt
My thoughts exactly!
I'm only concerned about the lack of Super Mario Bros 2. I know that game was an entirely different engine completely but still, feels left out. Although I wonder, would Mario 3 items such as a Tanooki suit work in a Mario World level? Probably not.
DFS Music I know, but I'm wondering if you can use it in a Mario 1 or Mario World skin.
Oh that. Well crap I hope you can D:
DFS Music Well in the "DLC" for the GBA version of Mario 3 you can use the Mario World cape and pick up vegetables like in Mario 2 so, maybe they could do that if that change the animation which they've done here.
There are gonna be some really evil levels made with this, and I'm excited to play them.
Omg, I will play every one hahaha! XD We have no idea what will be in store but it'll be epic either way. ;)
Derpy_Dude The Sadist creators will come to play. Be prepared.
Derpy_Dude Some will be easy, some will be hard, some will be so challenging you have to be Chuck Norris/Jesus Christ/Morgan Freeman aka God/, etc just to beat them
2015 - The Return of Kaizo.
LadyJuse Kaizo maker.
Nintendo dropping BOMBS! Mario Maker looking 10 times better than it's first reveal. THAT'S *The Nintendo Difference* :D
True that, Foos!
Nintendo shows games that get better by release. Everyone else does the opposite.
Nintendo Power ^_^
Simply amazing! I knew that they would have all the Mario themes in this game!!! Ignorant people thought that it was just going to be the original look and the NSMBU look. . . why do the fools always underestimate Nintendo's first part studios?!!!!
i think you mean they are dropping bob-oms.
The only things left I want to see in this game/engine are:
1) SMB2 Tilesets and stuff.
2) Custom Graphics support.
3) World maps.
4) Layers and Events (like in SMBX).
5) More enemies, tileset objects and items from original games.
Also, hope that sound glitch will be fixed, at 0:54.
wow I didn,t know there was a glitch
Nintendo needs to go all-in to have any chances for this project to succeed. Even if it has some original graphics, it`s no match against SMBX.
Johnathon Loveless That sound usually doesn't repeats in NSMB games, so I assume it's a glitch.
It's the kill-an-enemy sound, not the break-a-box sound
I can't see them allowing you to make you're own graphics because then, everyone will just make private parts.
Cristian Duran That was Raccoon Mario but you do make a good point.
I'm pretty sure you can use any power up in any theme. The themes don't change anything except for the graphics and sound effects. For example, Mario is riding a Lakitu cloud in the SMB theme, and Paragoombas are shown off in the SMB theme, even though they weren't introduced until SMB3
Magalor Da Suppreme Well, they showed Mario wall jumping when the new super Mario aspect kicked in, but Mario never had that ability until Mario 64
if they put the hammer suit that mean enemies can wear it, hammer piranha plants anyone?
I really love this concept. This game has real potential, i can see a game night with my friends and I challenging each other to the near-impossible levels that we throw together.
My top 10 things I would like to see in Mario Maker:
1) World maps. Let us make entire Mario games instead of just levels
2) Let us have no limits to how big our levels can be
3) Star Coins/Other collectables
4) Let us choose which gameplay style we want for a level (the creator can choose the gameplay style the player is going to play the level in, do not restrict the gameplay to be just Super Mario bros, but let us play the game like Super Mario World if we want to for an example)
5) Boss fights
6) NPC's (toads) and text bubbles
7) Let us choose which music we want for each level
8) Vertical levels
9) Multiplayer
10) Auto-scrolling levels
If Nintendo implements these features into Mario Maker, then I think this will be an absolutely amazing level creator and game.
Fabulous Sins Well, Mario Maker now has boss fights and auto-scrolling levels.
They said you can share levels, and judging by the tandoori suit in mario 3 at the end, we will have the Cape feather.
I wouldn't count on seeing an Overworld map in this game, but all the other stuff definitely sounds plausible.
This is going to be the greatest anniversary game ever!
I wonder if more art styles will be added, like Super Mario Bros 2.
Better than sonic generations on ps3? Yes.
Cole Lapp Okay, nevermind.
It's Generations, then this.
Fang3207 yep, even though I prefer mario than sonic,I love sonic generations on ps3 than super mario all stars on the wii.
Fang3207 pray for it be launched in phisical form and not digital(well for me,and my english is not very good)
Arthur Ramos Richinitti
I think it's both,hold on.
the levels they show in here are awesome man.. truly impressed with the creativity. Gets you hyped to make your own
I thought this only had NES Mario looks!! this is massively improved!!! different engines man! Now it really does support a buy!
When they showed it off at E3 they had the Super Mario Bros. and New Super Mario Bros. U artstyles, but both ran with a Super Mario Bros. style physics engine.
Thank God, because SMB1's physics sucked and SMW's power-up system was just as bad!
Panty Scout I think the physics thing may be changed, Mario wall jumps in this trailet.
Joshua Hernandez I think Nintendo is using the New Super Mario Bros. physics engine for this "game".
Kenneth Rogers That is not a proper use of quotes.
This game looks a lot better than I expected.........Oh and Super Mario Bros 3 FTW
Super Mario World FTW.
Nicolas Frasson Mario FTW
Yes! ;)
Nicolas Frasson And yes! ;)
Team SMW!
As long as this game allows you to see a big list of worlds made by everyone online, and let you play them, this will be a success.
0:27 Look how the objects looked like the original version (palette changes with the theme, Lakitu's cloud, firebar, 8-bit NES font). Why did they deleted those details?
Idk, they were Amazing.
But we NEED multiplayer for this
Well... They've confirmed online for this. If that's not what you mean, can you please explain, because I have no clue how Multiplayer would work with this title ;o
See, by online, they just mean sharing stages you've created over the internet. Multiplayer, however, would be being able to play your stage with 4 of you friends.
***** Ah. Now I gotcha'. Well thanks for explaining it to me in a respectful manner. :v
"Only on Wii U"
I hoped for a 3DS release, but I plan on eventually getting a Wii U anyway, mostly because of Super Smash Bros. U and Mario Kart 8...
Then again, NES Remix also got a 3DS release recently, so...
not the same thing
I dont think the 3DS can handle this one, BUT Im sure that if the game sells well and fans ask for it, it is gonna make it to the 3ds so dont worry :p
They could do a half way point. Give you the ability to download and play levels, you just can't make any levels. Maybe make it an eShop exclusive for a cheap price and throw in some Nintendo made levels.
Could be released on the "New" 3DS next year. You know with all the extra ram and cpu power.
I have a Wii U. I love it!
I don't think the stuff from a game is limited to said game's theme.
As an example, look at the arrow signboards at the start. They were not in Super Mario Bros. 3 OR Super Mario Bros. 1, but they just managed to get in both of the styles, with brand new graphics.

lets all take a minute and congratulate Nintendo on winning the Game Awards last night!

They're all confirmed to play like the original SMB for the NES.
Oh no, that's even worse. Playing Super Mario World with Super Mario Bros physics is going be the worst thing ever.
Custom physics could be a thing
00:14 I love this theme!

Du hast gute Ideen mein Schatz, auch wenn ich nicht alles verstehe. Die Übersetzung ist einfach Scheiße.
One of those ideas are great, but why the sprite editor? I don't think that would be possible if that idea were accepted.
Wall-E From Minecraft How would it not be possible?
No idea, that would be... er.... Ugh, you know what? Imagine how possible sprite editing is. Think about it in your head to see if I'm right. I have nothing else to say because I don't know what else to say right now. .-.

Yes! Super Mario World is definitely my favorite Super Mario game. Then when it was released on the Gameboy Advance I was so happy.
Haha, so tough for me, love both SMW and SMB.3 a ton.
I think I may actually like 3 the best. It was the first TRUE Mario game for me. The one that really set the standard of excellence.

You're doing things right Nintendo, keep it up!!!!!
The game's made substantial progress since E3, I'm excited to see where this goes!
It would be so cool if you could make like level playlists. Like first I'm going to take on this one level I made, then an underwater one I found on Miiverse, then take on a boss. It would be so cool!
Like on Portal 2 where you go to the next Level if you finish one? awesome idea!
That needs to be there!!!
I realy hope you can make it like an hack And create you're own game with youre own overworlds etc
The Super Mario World clips had the most soothing sounds to me.
I wonder if Mario Maker will include graphics from the Super Mario All-Stars version of Super Mario Bros. 1 & 3. Maybe DLC?
I'm just happy with World, but that could be a cool idea, maybe also some for Mario USA
*****
The NSMB style is already there
But I just thought of the best style ever
Super Paper Mario
I want a Yoshi's Island style, kthxbai.
The SEA NO SUPER PAPER MALLEO
plz NSMB original.
All Stars will be great! That will be 2 or more SNES themes!
Take me back to this time.
This was looking pretty meh from the last trailer
But it's massively improved since then!
I am going to use the super mario world look exclusively. no doubt.
1:00 YOU COULD MAKE FLAPPY BIRD
*everyone points a gun at me*
I'm sold now that Mario 3 and Super Mario World are available!
Ending when it cut to Wii U was so perfectly timed with the music that I got the chills
"Only on Wii U"
Yeah that lasted all of one year
Formula Fanboy lol 😂
All the possibilities... making your own custom items, and putting those items into an awesome use!
I hope nintendo uses this to release official game packs that are designed to be a bunch of levels with a beginning and end like from a full mario game
That's a really good idea! :D
This is so freaking awesome! I want to make my own Mario games based off how many levels are in each game.
This thing will live or die over whether or not you can easily share and browse levels (like in Little Big Planet.)
They already confirmed the level sharing.
GamerDragoon Sure. But whether it works as well as it does in other games (with recommendations, ratings and linked levels) remains unclear.
Matthew Jones "This game will suck if sharing is not available"
"It does, it has been confirmed"
"oh, ummm... ermmm... YEAH BUT IT DOESNT HAVE THIS [SPECIFIC THING] SO IT WILL SUCK"
and if later they confirm that, you'll look for something else to complain, heh.
KrloOs ? he wasn't complaining, its not even out yet
@GamerDragoon: Won't be possible unless you see that is possible in the future.
You have pleased me many a times these past months.
Super Mario World theme. You know what that means, guys...
Kaizo Mario Maker announced.
Nintendo if you release this game for 3DS, I will lose faith in you.
The 3ds is awesome, although you are right.
Yeah but it said it was on WiiU. Also if you need more proof they used the WiiU stylist in the commercial.
OrangeTroll
Which you rather prefer: 3ds,or wii u?
Cole Lapp I really can't say right now. I just got my WiiU a couple weeks ago. I have diffently had the 3DS longer. Honestly I would rather have the WiiU gamepad for this game. A 3DS version would be cool anyway.
***** In case you didn't know, the Wii U needs system sellers right now.
Wow, I'm really looking towards this Mario Maker! It's just so epic and especially the 1:00 part in the video wants ME TO MAKE SOME OWN LEVELS TOO!! :)
It'll be Kaizo Mario all over again guys.
Kaizo Mario ist so ein kranker Scheiß. Ich erstelle zwar schwere Levels, aber nicht sowas wie Kaizo Mario.
someone better call the super beard bros.
Inbizzinox yessir ha ha I know I’m late lol
This new update just cemented Mario Maker's greatness. Being able to switch between two of the greatest mario games of all time (SMB3/SMW), AND having level-creating capabilities beyond the actual game mechanics.
Def. buying this now
Who is after super Mario maker 2 trailer
should have named it "mario community makes lost levels v2.0"
Brace yourselves, "Unfair Mario" levels are coming
I'm ready! I beat unfair mario, so I think I'll be good. COME AT ME!!!!!!!
0:46 proof that stuff from one game theme will work in another theme, that black she'll guy (forgot his name) was in his SMB1 style, in SMB1 he was blueish but in SMB3 he was pure black, so he was probably placed in SMB1 mode and played in SMB3 mode.
If amiibo was compatible with this and made our amiibo character appear in the game, that would be interesting...
That would be awesome! My Pikachu going through this. LOL
Now I want to see Sonic in a Mario game
The SEA
that's exactly why I thought the amiibo figures should be compatible with mario maker xD I thought this as soon as they revealed the game and the figures xD
Super Mario Maker 2 just now came out for the Switch on June 28th.
My only question is can you walljump with 8-bit Mario
I remember seeing the ad of this game in a movie theatre years ago... I was so hyped
*Throws more money at screen*
me too
I put my credit card into the cd slot but nothing happened but smoke.
This looks miles better than what they showed at E3. Granted even this wouldn't be exactly E3 worthy, it still shows massive improvement from E3.
Also known as "Legalized Mario Kaizo"
1:00 Mario is like "Yhea, SCREW YOU Flappy Bird!"
You know what, Nintendo?
Here. Just take my debit card. No please. I insist.
Fine. Take my wallet. Here. Go on, now, don't be shy.
Yeah. I know m9 H8 all you want. I just liked the comment and it had merit to it.
Copy-paste!
Miner Dome That's what the like button is there for.
Getting sick of these comments.
Watch the online play cost money per stage/
What we still need:
-More Characters (Luigi, Blue Toad, Yellow Toad, Peach, Nabbit)
-Custom Music (Like an upgraded version of Mario Paint Composer)
-SMB2 Style
-ALL Items that existed in SMB, SMB2, SMB3, SMW and NSMBU
-ALL Enemies that existed in... ^
-Some Dolby Surround
-Team Creation (2-4 Players edit the level)
-New stuff that never existed in a Mario game
Now, I wonder if Yoshi will be available in this game.
I hope!
With amiibo most likely
cor657 He meant rideable like in Mario Worlds and U
I am so getting this, and it has Super Mario Bros. 3 and Super Mario World style! Must have for me.
Oh boy. they better make it online so people can share all their impossible stages...
It's going to have Super Mario Bros. physics. That's what they said at E3 but it might have changed.
depends on the style you´re playing on
I wonder, is this going to be like Happy Wheels where anyone can submit a custom level and anyone in the world can play it?
Really
Saleem Philmore That didn't answer my question Saleem
Foxy the Pirate YAY!!!!
exactly what i wanted from the game since e3
more options and more tilesets(especially smb3 is one i specifically wanted)
some one will probs make a flappy bird
Nintendo already did. Look at the ending.
DrAnimePhD I did, it wasn't that good
TechXSoftware Everyone's a critic...
DrAnimePhD
Spongebob
Wesley Harrison Square pants
thanks nintendo for this amazing game... im gonna cry looking at this video with also the retro versions...
Can we get this on the Switch?
This aged well 😂
Ah Nintendo..how I love you so.
Super Mario World romhacker's wet dream right here.
I know I'll be getting a Wii U for Christmas so I will be looking forward to this! :)
STAR FOX, ZELDA U, MARIO MAKER, MAJORAS MASK 3D
#2015HOLYSHIT
Splatoon, Project Steam, Xenoblade Chronicles X. Need I go on?
Alex Chaudhari Mewtwo in smash.
Alex Chaudhari yes
Kanoy Gerardo Almost forgot Yoshi's Wooly World and Kirby's Rainbow Curse. Damn, that's a lot of Nintendo games coming out next year.
Want more?
Project Gaurd and CD Soundtrack and DLC
This title really is shaping up to be amazing, loads more content every time we see it.
Reminds me of 3D World where the first trailer was a bit underwhelming, while the second one blew me away.
I'm just hoping there will be online creation sharing. That or at least some kind of QR code scanning for levels.
This happened with MK8
the 4th one blew me away.
The online sharing is confirmed.
*****
MK8,I can't wait to get it when I finally got a wii u.
they should make a mario kart maker, it's not hard.
look at LittleBigPlanet Karting for instance.
I'm throwing money at the screen but nothing's happening!
YES!!! When Mario Maker was first announced, I was pretty disappointed at the lack of Super Mario Bros. 3 (my favorite game of all time), but this announcement makes me really excited to create/play new levels!
I only can see so many Item Abuse maps spoiling the game... xD
***** yes!
You are the GODS of video games. I am again blown away with your innovations.
Now, I NEED this game!!!
hope you got to play it!
Man I've been waiting over 10 years for this!
pure awesomness, this game will have its own crazy world in gaming
This thing is going to spawn entire UA-cam channels.
I'm excited for the Kaizo levels people are gonna make!
I've always wanted something like this.
I played Mario 3 growing up,so I am excited to design those courses!Only thing is there never was anything like 0:43
Let's see, we have the styles of SMB 1 and 3, SMW, and NSMB.
Edit: We need Luigi, the toads and multiplayer.
It was THIS trailer that sold me the game. So glad to find it again!
1:00 Flappy Bird is now for Wii U.
With this trailer, this game went to good to AMAZING!!!!!
