Love my FMS A-10. I fly mine with 6200 6s packs. Such a sweet flying plane. I fly clean and with ordinance and see no difference in performance and flight times. Reflex is nice on mine. I also went with Spektrum 8ch rx with satellite rx as battery can block signal. I get no holds or fades with that set up. As for speed, 3:36 it's very scale like. No need to go faster. I highly recommend this plane.
Thanks for the demo including 'We roast lipos so you don't have to"... Excellent real world video... On point with the ordinance. Good looking plane. Looking for your next video.
Awesome plane. I finally got the courage up to maiden my eflite twin 64mm a10 yesterday. What a great flying plane and I greased the landing too. Was soo happy. Flew my f15 eagle 64 too. Set up thrust reverse on the a10 yesterday also.
Always love A-10s, ever since we saw a pair of them do their thing at an airshow- down the runway at 100 feet, and then SLAMMED them into HARD breakaway turns- quite a thrill, even more so because they’re so huge (like that huge rollout!)
Nice review Brian. I am looking seriously at this plane. I'm sorry for being critical, but as a Master military pilot, I must correct you on your statement about the GAU-8 multi-barrel cannon on the A-10 - it is not a .50 cal, it is a 30mm. The difference between .50 cal and 30mm is beyond immense. The energy of the 30mm is many many times greater than a Browning .50 cal. Anyway, thanks for the informative review!
I’m a professional pilot and just have one observation and comment. Increase your speed and altitude before retracting any flaps. Don’t retract any flaps low or slow. You risk crashing retracting flaps too low or slow. Practice slow flight too to help tighten up your landing distance. Hope that helps.
Always love an A-10! I have the Eflite 64mm A-10 and it flies great. I swapped out the stock receiver for an 8-channel receiver to mix in crow and a mix of full spoilers with "pilot fatigue." I also find that mine pitches downward but I think that is because of the high mount of the EDF's creating a downward torque when punching the throttle.
I fly my FMS A10 V1 on Admiral 5000mAh and get good flight time. I pisition my battery much further aft than you have yours. Gives a much slower approach speed with a higher AofA I use the battery wire with my Spektrum RXs. I slit the wires near the plugand push the thin telemetry wires in, dribble in a bit of CA glue, activate it and seal the wound with a bit of tape - quicker than soldering. I then go to Audio Events, Telemetry select volts and put it on the Bind Button. I'm then not pesteed by voltage call-outs when I open the throttle and can choose when to press the button to get a voltage call-out - when at mid throttle.
"When you get a tight spot, and you have a fast plane, it doesn't always work as good." Brian Phillips And just about anybody else who's been in a tight spot with a fast plane. Lol
I absolutely love this plane and want one so bad, but i dont have the space to land this thing. Man i would love to get it though. I have trouble with space landing my habu sts, I couldn't imagine trying to land this beast
Love your videos, very informative and helpful. I think it's sad that we haven't had any new EDF jets released, because of tensions with China. Getting bored with regurgitated aircraft reviews though. Keep them coming
I fly my a10 on a HRB 5000 50c at half throttle for most of the flight and can do all sport flying maneuvers loops rolls and wing over fly for 5 min with 2 go arounds before killing the battery.
I wish that FMS would give us the option to buy this model with or without their reflex gyro, because from my experience it's a cheaper, harder to adjust, and inferior product to AS3X and many other hobby gyros any day of the week.
if you mowed your grass next to the runway/ drive just a little shorter this jet can take it!! the grass will stop it pretty fast. On a side note I gpsed mine at 120MPH strait an level with a HRB 5000mah 50c.
Power line no longer there! So convenient. Frog is annoying. Plane is awesome, just hard to land. Camera crew doing fantastic job. Neighbor speeding not desirable. No math on screen 😁
I’ve had this plane in my cart since May 15th. I had a simple question but FMS customer service is awful. No number to call and no online chat. Takes days to respond to emails. And cannot answer a simple question.
i dont know which a10 to buy.... you have the FMS version and the freewing version. the different price is very important between these versions. the FMS is more beautiful. the FMS use one battery. freewing 2 battery. the FMS is 70mm freewing 80mm.... really i dont know.... very sad that the eflite a10 64mm is discontinued....

Thanks for all you and camera crew do for us! Hope to see you at Nall in the Fall.
Too much going on with the pond and our time in Alabama, but we're really hoping to get back to Nall in May! Hopefully!
Best camera crew outside of SupremeRc baby. Love yall.keep it up...
Some great camera work there. Particularly so the shots of it in silhouette against the sunset backdrop and also when it flew toward the camera.

Master military pilot 🤔
Much as I love the near-house driveway flights, I wish you'd build your Back 40 runway and start flying back there in the pasture more.
Brilliant review, fantastic flying and camera work. I recently returned to the hobby, and your channel does the best reviews everytime.
Much appreciated, and welcome back!!! Glad you're here with us!
I enjoyed this video! Thanks Brian and Meg!
🤘💚❤🤘 that's Killer Brian!!! Awesome video Camera Crew. A10 is a Beauty
Thanks Marty!
Thanks for 2nd thoughts on this A10... No Ordiance is what I'm thinking when I maiden mine Thanks for sharing good job camera crew 👏 👍
Great dead stick landing Ice Man.

really like your video's from Boone Ia. love them planes.
That paint scheme is such a beauty

Nice! Good call, and I'll have to look into the "I" Button call out request. Good idea!
That's a great idea! Which RX's will this work with?
@JustPlaneNutzRC I'm a Spektrum user. I don't have anything else - I lie, I have a Jeti DS16 which I'm selling.
My next jet lol. That thing is awesome
"When you get a tight spot, and you have a fast plane, it doesn't always work as good." Brian Phillips
And just about anybody else who's been in a tight spot with a fast plane. Lol
Nice flight, you have a great reputation for not leaving anything up in the air👏👍😹
Curious what you feel a good beginner EDF would be? Loving my Timber Evolution and thinking about something fun
bprc.me/Habu - get the 50mm - only need a 3S 2200 for it, and it'll get your whistle wet ;)
I absolutely love this plane and want one so bad, but i dont have the space to land this thing. Man i would love to get it though. I have trouble with space landing my habu sts, I couldn't imagine trying to land this beast

Almost full size. Have many of the real ones here in Tucson and DM AFB.
Many years ago I saw airplanes that had a nose wheel brake. It might be a consideration since you don't have thrust reversal.
Get out of the throttle and let her coast in on a glide !
Its a lot tighter spot than you probably realize. This plane is pretty big, and awesome!
Hi Brian, you mention using an AR620 with Reflex V2 but don't you need another channel in order to change between modes in the Reflex gyro?
..Great review. Looks like it could benefit with a thrust reverse mod ! Or perhaps do a crow mix .
One of best planes ✈️.. 😎🇺🇸
Amen 👍
Lol. Great video, as always!
I fly my a10 on a HRB 5000 50c at half throttle for most of the flight and can do all sport flying maneuvers loops rolls and wing over fly for 5 min with 2 go arounds before killing the battery.
With the two 70mm fans flight time is too short methinks also hot plane needs longer runways. These are limitung factors to enjoy the plane
I love a-10 thunderbolt ii
Dude Slick Dead Stick!
Amen.
That frog sounds like me belching the wife says.
What setup do you have in it
and that $60 extra for telemetry is why I fly Frsky
Sure
Oh hey. Congrats on getting the utilities buried. Wish that was more common.
NIIIIICE 👌
Why don’t you fly MotionRC products?
I wish that FMS would give us the option to buy this model with or without their reflex gyro, because from my experience it's a cheaper, harder to adjust, and inferior product to AS3X and many other hobby gyros any day of the week.

I see the NO power lines. Detracts from some of the excitement.!
I lovd this plane but 1.5m doesnt fit my cars trunk. 😢

What’s the question
@@Tommy06235 was wondering if the sold shear pins for the landing gear separately. They said they don’t know what a shear pin is.
@@davidmcneill3809 idk what a shear pin is either
@@Tommy06235 the pin that connects the landing gear to the retract motors. They are designed to snap on a hard landing to reduce damage to the plane.
