For you guys in the comments, we personally found that the A-10 handled incredibly well with Du-Bro 2.5" low bounce treaded main wheels and a 2" nosewheel of the same make and type. Gets rid of all that rattling the plastic wheels do and adds even more suspension to the gear. They aren't as great for grass without the wheel upgrade since the main struts are stiffer than they seem. But overall this jet is phenomenal, and Brian here flies it like a pro even if it's only his fourth or fifth flight with it. ;) Also, we covered the nav light flashing. You can unscrew the wing plugs and remove the resistor that's in-line with the LED wires via a servo plug embedded in the wing. Takes about 5 minutes to fix and looks way better after it's removed.
I put in an 8 channel receiver in my Eflite A-10 and mixed in some spoilers after watching some of your videos! Landing approaches are so much smoother now!
@@MWall711 Happy to hear it! Crow isn't needed, but it certainly improves the landing characteristics if you're after a higher throttle landing. A-10s can be fickle to land, and a lot of it comes down to a good center of gravity. They're surprisingly OK with being flown with the CG right over the main wheels, but a CM in front of them isn't bad either.
You guys are awsome best well rounded channel out there . No one else does what you guys do and those apprentice videos 5 years ago are what got me into the hobby 🤗
I think I need to pick one of these up ASAP. Along with the P-51 red tail. I added the freewing Al 37 airliner so I need to add another military plane, and as always great video
This plane is super cool - I hope you get one for sure! Wish MotionRC would work with us, since I HAVE now flown the AL37, but it needed a stabilizer to fly the way I wanted it to fly, and I would love to see how dialed in I could get it. FYI, and I know it might not make much sense if you're stateside (like us) but here's a company that DOES work with us on Freewing products ;) bprc.me/TurbinesRC - Would you consider doing me a favor and see how horrific the shipping would be if you order it there?
@@BrianPhillipsRC I need to find something to make it stable myself. I'm not taking any chances. And I'm definitely getting this one using your link as soon as I can

Always love an A-10. I have the Eflite A-10 and put in an 8 channel receiver so that it could have spoilers, too. Really helped with the landing approach. Fun planes!
Thanks Brian and Megan for another flight and that great knowledge. And yes, there is a handful of us that have been on Brians channel from the beginning, and we are more than happy to answer any questions you may have. Getting started in this hobby isn't just exciting but it's a Tade bit addicting and with some good equipment and knowledge you will go far. After 30yrs I no just enough to get in trouble. lol ☺. Happy flying hope to see you at the field.
All ways happy to help. Been under the weather for awhile so I think your a couple videos ahead of me so I will check in on them and find out if anyone needs a hand.. Thanks guys
I have two of these fab A10s. One in use and one for later. The only things that have gone wrong are the XT90 connector melted so was replaced with EC5. And the front gear mounting is a bit weak so it popped out after a heavy landing. This has been reinforced and is now very robust. Thanks for the video, I'm amazed you can land the A10 on your short strip !
Thanks, and yeah, GREAT plane. She's a handfull to put down on a short runway, but she'll do grass ops fine here. As for the nose gear...I bet this A-10 (and EVERY A-10) could use a nose job after a few rough or unscheduled landings ;) Some day, when I grow up, I want to split out the ESC's and run separate packs to help make my TWINS be nicer to my lipos. Ever think about doing this?
Love the Ying Yang Twinz whispering!! Sounds amazing! Nice camera pans..”ITZ GOT JUUUUICE!!” Freewing or FMS? I’m three weeks out from pulling the trigger on one..

Love your channel. Both of you are awesome people, and have inspired me to fly. Ive never flown before, im 48. I have had nitro trucks in the past, but never a plane. This spring im buying either the sport cub, or that plane that has the prop behind the cabin???. Has a rounded nose. Now, i love gas engines, i been riding motorcycles all my life, but the draco is a damn amazing plane. I seen Mike pateys channel and the crash he had, and when horizon revealed the model to him, that brought tears. If the made the draco have a gas engine, that would be totally awesome. I can't wait for spring!...i just looke on horizon its called the aeroscout s. Awesome plane. 2 batteries, charger, controller, reciever and servos installed, and plane, 230$....is there a better deal than that?
Hey Michael sounds like you're heading in the right direction. That Aero scout will be a good starter plane. If you look thru Brians Video files you will find some great videos to get yourself familiar with this unit. Hi there, i hope you good. Thx for the tes mt and the prevent for the first try advice. Do you think its possible to put the batterie a little in the middle of the plane to balance it more?
Where there's a will, there's a way, but I have to say - A-10's are not always easy to do things like that with, due to the thickness of the body, compared to the packs used to fly them. I's love to see DUAL pack setup for TWIN's, since they do tend to be battery chewers...but this one seems to be okay in that regard. The Arrows F15 is one that comes to mind as an EXTREME battery eater.
Even for a beginner, we recommend starting with no less than an NX7e or NX8. If you know you're hooked already, just jump straight to the NX10. Lots of people start out with an NX6 or even a DX6e to save some money, but usually end up outgrowing that transmitter fairly quickly and upgrade to an NX8 or NX10 anyway. If you can, save yourself the middle step and just get what you need/want. You can compare all of the different transmitters that Spektrum offers here... bprc.me/tx

@scottfinney4356 they don't. If you want the telemetry then try the Avian 70A lite. I doubt this dual set up pulls more than 70A each sharing the same battery. On the FMS Viper 70 it pulls about 72A and that's being supplied with a lipo all to itself.
