This game actually looks dope, the sketchy website to download it is scuffed though...

It's not to bad to download. If my computer illiterate ass can do it anyone can. But anyway I highly recommend it.

It looks scuffed, but works perfectly well. And if you lose your access code, they are fast to respond.

The CD key shown in this vid works on the latest version, which is a simple direct download on their site. You can toss them a few bucks via paypal if you think it's that good.

The worst thing is that people are so wired on Steam and other large media and corp material that anything that is not on their sites counts as sketchy. If you have a firewall and it's not screaming at you it's not sketchy. The creators are simply not selling their product to Steam or whoever for pennies on their dollar, which is just good business sense...

Apparently, out of all things... The sci-fi credits trope came from a 1934 sci-fi serial novel called "The Astounding Machine". In other words, sci-fi using credits as currency is older than WWII.
Also, i would recommend his "Amazing Cultivation Simulator" review. It is just one of those games that is utterly insane and thus makes absolute sense as to why he did a video on it. The weirdest part is, is that it is based on a genre of chinese novels that you may or may not know of, and it is weird because i read a fair few of those novels and the game Sseth reviews is not even that weird compared to some of the stuff that happens in the actual novels.
I will note that although Sseth in that video calls the genre "Wuxia" the game is more based on a sub-genre called "Xianxia". And I guess it makes sense that the game based on those novels is so bizarre, since the novels themselves are... Certainly interesting, and if you like battles on the scales of gods, you might also like the novels provided you can either find a good one, or have low enough standards like I do to derive entertainment from trash novels much like how some might derive sustenance from fast food. Regardless of how bad it is for their health.
But i digress. The point is, it is a funny Sseth review, and it is also somehow comparatively more sane to some of the things that happen in the genre the game is based on.

Fun fact: the original video got the game so much popularity it killed the website for a while.

I think one of the problems of bigger studios is that of oversight and control.
If you have a handful of devs, sitting down together to hash out who does what and how to mesh it together is easy.
So is making sure that everyone is on the same page when it comes to making a kick-ass game first.
The bigger a company gets, the harder it is for the people with the actual vision and drive to ascertain that everyone else is pulling in the same direction. Departments start to be more and more self-contained, sometimes even working to cross purposes.
The creative lead might not know everyone working on the game at all, much less if they share the same vision.
Heck, for bigger triple As the creative leads are middle management at best. Team leaders for just one small part of the massive corporate machine. They might have little to no input over how much effort (and therefore money) goes into which aspect of the game and when it is "done" and ready for release.
They certainly won't have any influence over monetization.
Too many cooks ruin the dish. Everyone knows that. The same goes for just about anything. More people means less communication and cooperation and more inefficiency as people will have meetings with other people to coordinate and filter top down decisions (from people that may or may not know what they're doing) to the actual people doing the work.
Indie titles aren't always gems, but there is a lot less chance for some random bean counter or CEO that needs to polish his CV with "x % savings/increased profits on project y" to screw the whole project over out of ignorance or apathy.
If you're in an indie studio, chances are you're there because indie dev is your dream and because whoever leads the project thinks you share the same vision for it.
If you're the thirtieth of 35 graphics designers for the environmental division of the visual designs team for the newest Ubisoft project, chances are whoever decided on the vision of the game doesn't even know your name, much less whether you want the same thing for the game or are motivated.

Yeah... It weird how awesome games you can do when you dont focus just on graphics. Just have nice, clean, working look and focus on actual game mechanics.

If you are even slightly interested in space games ,buy it, it's totally worth the price and the mods you can use are really good. And don't worry about the website, i have bought the game 6 years ago and i haven't had any problems with it.

You should watch his Recettear video.
After watching his Japanese game review, you should watch his Chinese game review, Amazing Cultivation Simulator.
For whatever reason Sseth plays any video game that has a robust in-game markets and economy.
