if you want to see some gameplay id recommend checking out russ sheckles on youtube. its basically sessions from his twitch channel and their server isnt too crazy content wise. TYhe community is pretty friendly as well so if you want to give it a try its a good place to see some gameplay and try the game yourself. also another good video by sseth is his one for endless space 2, its a longer video but its a great game
The Cargonia Rebellion and Discount Dan soda did happen and are straight up to references to other youtubers. Specifically Tex, and kohlberrrto both of whom are members of the Black Pants Legion. Tex runs channel here on youtube, and has a giant catalog of space station 13 shenanigans going back nearly a decade. Tex and the BPL by extension are also massive names in the Battletech community and put so much heart and soul into their vids, while also being extremely funny. I highly recommend checking them out.

Space Station 13 is a game played on private servers desperately disconnected from each other. Some are public and others PASSWORD protected. It's highly customizable and no two servers are the same. Man this takes me back i was like 15 when i first played this game, im 35 now XD, but Sseth didnt even go into the fact there is an Ships AI role option (server dependant of course) which puts that player in charge of a lot of things but also limits what they can see to locations with working cameras, which becomes very important when it turns out the traitor is the AI XD
Yea its amogus and the point is to chill out and survive until the end of the round all the systems are super complex meta gaming usually gets you banned since its not fun.
Dam, BYOND engine is such nostalgia, I remember in middle school back in the mid-late 2000s playing some Resident Evil online game, such good times minus the awful lag. So glad that RE BYOND game is on Steam.
Oh yea this is a fun one played it for quite some time some rounds can be chill like he mentioned or tthe eamp out a bti later when antag gets more power or the chaos spreads quickly if you have antaf who knows his shit. Its super fun to rolepaly from my time i didnt have much problems with admins.
13:30 you can do all that and much more, professions and game mechanics on modern servers are very deep and people roleplay their characters to the fullest (no furry erp on big servers, moderators keeping watchful eye), although video itself is staged and recorder either on empty or closed private server, stories most likely real if you interest on how real SS13 gameplay looks like - you can check out The Black Pants Legion channel offcam, he's been posting SS13 let's plays for years, with full SS13 playlist having over 800+ videos
