The landing gear has been around for the longest time
True… knew about landing gear.
I didn’t know about their PowerPole mount for Hobie Pro Angler. I bought a kayak and it was already installed. Made for rock solid motor mount.
I had friends that gad issues with their kayak cracking using this landiing gear quite a few years ago .
I think it comes down to whether they add backing plates properly. Also NOT storing the kayak on the landing gear. 🤷♂️
@@KayakDIY , I know they didnt store on landing gear . But , dont know if they adding any support . I know I was just about to order then 2 of them had their kayaks crack out .
I know I would not have been able to add any support to my lure without issues .
Boonedox updated their backing plates to 9" to alleviate any cracking. I did the upgrade on my PA12, haven't had any problems.
