"Her hitler hairdo is making me feel ill"... never could really understand the lyrics just listening.

Probably the most succinct explanation of the song:
it seems to me like the song is intentionally self-defeating in order to exaggerate the criticisms people make of others to the extent that they seem ridiculous. the first stanza demonstrates complaints that people have in reference to others. the second stanza then demonstrates how people are unwilling to accept blame for their own actions. it seems to suggest that despite his actions, society holds him down. then, at the end of the song he realizes how easy it is for a person to get caught up in himself and realizes that he has been wrong in criticizing others so harshly.

I always thought of it like this:
"Karma police, arrest this man, he talks in Maths, buzzes like a fridge, he's like a detuned radio."
To me, it's a man who is a know it all kind of guy who is always spouting off why he's right and acts all high and mighty, and gets angry at people who disagree because he sees no err in his methods and if you don't agree, you're wrong, because he's always right with his numbers and fancy talk.
"Karma Police, arrest this girl, her hitler-hairdo is making me feel ill, and we have crashed her party."
(Side note, the genders to me really are just examples, the man and girl characterization a are just metaphorical, like how the bible says brothers, or daughters of Zion), but this stanza is about a person with a dictatorial attitude who attacks people with her views and forces them on people, and it makes everybody else wonder how they could be so oppressive and dislike them hence it makes them feel ill. The part I think is kind of the whole point of the verse, as Radiohead always talked of how "Creep" was all their viewers ever wanted to hear, and so they crashed her party because she was the same way and was hateful toward the band that she doesn't hear it more often from them and is unwilling to listen to other songs, just the one.
"Karma Police, I'm doing all I can, it's not enough, but I'm doing all I can, and we're still on the payroll."
I think this line is supposed to represent that Radiohead does all they can to give their audience more to hear, but the listeners still just want "creep." And they still are making money off their work, but nobody is willing to accept their concepts.
"this is what you'll get when you mess with us."
Translation; we don't care if you are so particular about our hit, we won't do it if you don't accept our other work.
"For a minute there, I lost myself."
The message seems pretty self explanatory, though I don't really see the connection between this and the body of the song.
The Karma Police thing is just saying to me as a metaphor that if you don't stop pestering about our song, we'll pester you more by holding out on it, kind of bad karma hence the name.
Now this is my interpretation, I could be wrong, but I've seen a lot of sources saying the song has to do with the "creep" song and how it angers Radiohead, so my translation is my idea of how it would all make sense if it was in fact the general message, not off song facts or anything like that.
I love Radiohead, it's always fun trying to decrypt their songs.;)

4 years late, but the original lyrics make much more sense.
      "Karma police
Arrest this girl, she looks at me
      (Her hitler hairdo)
As if she owns the world and we have crashed her party"
      (Is making me feel ill)
