  • Welcome to our 2nd day in TUNIS! Today we are heading outside of the city to visit Sidi Bou Said, one of the prettiest towns we have visited! Painted blue and white similar to Santorini, this looks and feels completely different to the city centre of Tunis!

As a Tunisian/German who's also been to Greece, I always come back to enjoy the sense of exclusivity and privacy I get in Tunisia which is usually not the case in other Med destinations. Looking forward to your next video:) Fun fact: the Andalusians who fled Spain/Portugal were the ones that introduced that "mini dount" or Kaak warka, you ate, and planted the nesri flower which they also brought with them. It's a precious specialty of a Tunisian city called Zaghouan, where many Andalusians settled in. :D

Lovely to see Sidi Bou Said once again. I actually went there twice during my week in Tunisia, so enjoyable wandering around with the camera, and the 30-minute train journey from Tunis was pleasant too. I'm guessing you went to Hammamet after Tunis, another pretty, photogenic place.

Wealthy Americans go to Italy, but tend to miss out on Tunisia which is quite sad. Given that it's close, super cheap and rich in food/history, i'd argue at par with Italy. Carthage was a glorious empire when Rome was a peasants village.

There is a plenty place to visit in Tunisia like Bizerte, Carthage the historical city in Tunisia , Kairawen the holy city in Tunisia where you can find the first mosque in Africa "okba Ibn nafaa" , also you have to visit the south of Tunisia Tozeur, tatouine , and the costal cities Sfax , Sousse and "El djam" where you can find the biggest amphitheater in Africa and it gives you the vibes of roman empire .
Tunisia is a variety of desert, lakes , beaches , mountains also culture and traditions and history.

Such a well made vlog! As a Tunisian, I always am nervous when watching vlogs from tourists especially English speakers, mostly because they're used to other destinations, locals speak mostly French ( which is changing at a fast pace, youth's converging towards English ) and tend to be a few to have it on their Radar. Also because Tunisia is undiscovered for some parts of the world, tourists tend to miss great spots and destinations aside from those used to visiting like the French and Italians. Happy to see more people visiting and making videos about Tunisia! One tip is to always ask locals about the prices before heading to a shop or a food spot, but usually there isn't much to worry about!
Enjoy your stay and happy vlogging.
