I've noticed a fairly decent performance hit with the Invincible as well... Still much appreciated, I love having a plethora of naval units to choose from. Thanks for highlighting all the additions RedKite, I didn't know the land rover and amphibious craft were added.

In terms of the naval missiles I do wonder what capacity Razbam has to model them accurately. Or is it like air to air missiles where ED has responsibility for them?
@@RedKiteRender Finally, the HB TALDs have been broken ever since, except for maybe the first two months after the cat got out and they kept saying ED broke them and ED would have to fix them. I just hope they'll get the excessive drag sorted...
Do you mean T42 destroyers? The fact taht Invincible has Sea Dart would suggest that the T42s should be easy to do - afterall especially in 1982 that was basically all they had.
At least now we have an HMS Invincible which will launch a flight of 4 Harriers off of the ramp! I am grateful for the 3rd party add-ons of this ship, but a four ship of AI could never make it more than 100 yards off of the ramp without hitting the sea.
Oh yes, the self entitled will complain about it. You're not entitled to other peoples' work and time for free. If it's bad, but free, easy come, easy go. Didn't cost you anything, they owe you nothing, you lost nothing. Sure enough in my opinion it's not ready for release. But why waste time crusading against it, investing personal time. They could of just as easily given you nothing, and you'd not be complaining. So what's the difference between waiting vs RB releasing it later given no money is involved: Only what you decide to do with the time. Anger like this is unproductive. You drop quick constructive criticism and move on.
I think all yor efforts are just incredible and we are really glad for your job. Bit please, PLEASE just focus a little bit for providing a good WWII maps and assets, I think a lot of us is just waiting a solid WWII platform to use.
That's mostly on ED not Razbam. But for sure! The WW2 assets and general world is very limited, but that said even modern settings are lacking a lot of useful assets.
@@RedKiteRender the U-boats damage model is a bit comical though. Last time I tried it they could take more iron bomb his than the surface ships. And hitting them isn't easy
I bought the DLC. The map runs good but something happened with the assets that I can't use them anymore. I could but from all of a sudden they disappeared. Does anyone have any clue?
I'm curious if the ski jump on the invincible will make up for the shorter deck length when compared to the Tarawa when it comes to max allowable takeoff weight for the harrier. I've been flying off the Kuznetsov for my ski jump experience, but that always feels like cheating
Honestly, throwing in a few assets does nothing for me in influencing me to buy a map that you can mostly only fly over. there is nothing on the map except the the Faulk lands for the price, no way.
I'm rather fine with it, mostly solid 45fps (I wonder if my CV1 would crack the 90 now, haven't tried yet, but basically that's almost impossible). Runs way better than MSFS which has a weird community ("It'S a CoMpLeX sIm, YoU cAn'T hAvE mOrE tHaN tWeNtY fPs, It'S aLwAyS bEeN lIkE tHaT!") on top of that.
@Jeremy Cate I had 45fps with the CV1 on a 1080 and 3570k als well mostly (offline only, though). If you want to see higher framerates, you need to switch ASW off. Best get Oculus Tray Tool for that. Then have the Oculus software open (no game/sim running), go to OTT and switch it to something it's not currently set at and then to Off (for me it only works that way). They still lock at 45fps if they could be just slightly higher, but somewhere around 53-55fps it's possible to have more then.
I wouldn't quote the specific figure as correct, but yes, at the end of the take off run you're meant to rotate the nozzles, even on the Tarawa. I don't know the procedure off top of my head any more, or if Invincible has her own procedure.
@@RedKiteRender I asked because I usually rotate the nozzle to 60° on the Tarawa (because I read or watched in some guide ages ago. So I guessed maybe you did "just" 50° because of the extra height you get from leaping over the ramp. But if there is just not THE right way to do it, that's fine. ;-)
Maybe some refugee Nazis retro fitted some Walther engines to it :D Type XVIII (which only was a prototype class that eventually evolved into the XXI, because it was hard to procure enough h2o2 to put those into service) in SH4 U-Boat Missions does 28 submerged and 32 surfaced, but only for so long as it depletes hydrogenperoxide. Oh boy. Looks like this is going to be the norm for every module there is released. Early Access Pre-Alpha Alpha Alpha Access all the way it is. What a horrible quality standard we get since years in DCS... So sad. Lacking of alternatives sickens me.
Honestly most releases are plenty acceptable these days. This assets pack needs another month to fix the usability issues and things like the non transparent windows on a few assets ideally.
