@@johnjacobsen4003No they won't. I've been a real pilot for 24 years and a flight simmer longer than that. MSFS is hands down the best simulation yet. No sim feels like real flying, but MSFS nails everything else and no other sim comes close. They're all just games, and MSFS is the better game by far, X-Plane and P3D don't even come close.
Career mode in a Flight Simulator. It is so rare we get such gameplay in sims these days.
At least you can woo-hoo the neighbor in The Sims.
Let's just hope changes like this won't turn a more or less realistic sim into a third-person-view arcade game.

In regards to exploring on foot , how faar you can walk in distance before you cant walk anymore ...they said in a video that it was 100 meters , BUT , they most likely will take it away ,because of some reasons i dident quite get , so that means you can just walk and walk ...just ideal without no limits or restrictions .,

Yeah, but I guess at these events all the gear is gonna show the best side. They're not gonna be running on the stuff we all shelled out for for 2020. I'm personally hoping we see some ATC improvements documented before launch. Surely it wont be the same as it is now????? (it will be)
The big issue, for me, is that they've been saying since announcing MSFS2024 that it was going to be a "thin client," in other words, that little would be stored on the user's PC and lots more of it streamed from "the cloud" than MSFS2020. This tells me that the new sim is likely to use a LOT more bandwidth than before, and it's just as likely that a super-fast internet connection will be needed as a high-powered CPU and GPU.
Microsoft (and large corps in general) has very thin skin. They don't like negativity. I got banned from their Twitch when I simply said, "That's what happens when you try to shoehorn this pig onto a console." I was referring to the degradation of the visuals.
Played Flight Simulator 2020 a few days ago... feels ancient because of the 2D photogrammetry with AI guesses. No more guessing.

I still see alot of stutter in the terrain, it has been there since FSX, or even before that, what is causing that? The team has done an amazing job with FS2020-2024, insane technological progress. But yeah, the constant terrain stutter is my pet peeve :D
What do you mean by terrain stutter?
Bulky looking scenery will always cost performance, my XP12 fully offline with zero stutters ever. Still, will be buying MSFS2024 for sure no matter how it will be, simply for the fact that you get 70 aircraft in the standard edition!
because the terrain can't be all loaded at once, it's being streamed in. so pop-ins are inevitable.

I was really interested in the last MSFS outing but without a 'plan' I usually struggle to stay engaged. The inclusion of a career and goals/activities really has my interest peaked. I've gotta do a serious PC upgrade if I do! Great video!
Love the coverage but in a video titled "A Load of New Footage" you should probably not loop the same old preview footage over and over for 25% of the video 😐

i think that PMDG, Fenix and GSX doesn't support msfs24 right from the start... so i will pass until all my favourite Addons are compatible.
What I like best about this guy's videos on Microsoft Flight Simulator is that he shows more of what I'm curious to see!
Very impressed with all the videos I’ve seen and looking forward to this release. One thing I wish people were talking about more was performance / CPU utilization, as that is the primary bottleneck in 2020 and have not heard anything else besides “it has better multithreading”.

The career mode alone makes it a must buy. I loved MFS at launch but the lack of structure left me wanting at times. Shame you couldn't make it to the press event, maybe another time.

What is everyone’s opinion regarding what spec is going to be needed to run this at a reasonable level. I mean, I accept it is going to be cloud based and utilise CPU multi threading, however, they are saying it is going to be able to perform very well, even better than 2020. I am just not sure I’m convinced….but I may be wrong ?
Did they finally add forcetrim for helicopters? The aircraft trim mode for helos in 2020 is whack
It does look amazing and I'm really looking forward to it, but the fact that the frame pacing issue still seems to persist is worrysome. I wonder if this is due to shader compilation and just cannot be avoided? It's the one thing that lets the experience down for me in 2020 and seeing this here again is a bit disappointing for what os otherwise a technical marvel.
From what I've seen so far, everything looks amazing. Except the cloud layers, still needs some more work.. For the clouds still like like FS2020.

Shame you couldn’t make it to the event. Seems like most of the channels that posted videos were big content creators not flight sim enthusiasts. I don’t care what IGN says about the game. I wanna know what someone who actually plays flight sims thinks.
The stutters need to be GONE! 100% gone!
LOD draw distance and download speeds is an absolute must as well. I don’t think any of it will be fixed. Unfortunately!

Stutters can be gone by having a system that can run the sim and graphics settings set accordingly, if you have stutters, you need to fix something in the settings.

It's a real push toward video games with full globes as the play area. Star Citizen won't when because they are to busy looting there customers.

A lot of those channels he mentioned aren't even flight sim enthusiast channels. They call them _content channels_ but I call them for what they really are, shills.
I stopped believing in all these after FS 2020, how many of all that you said will be available day 1 ? Many of these were promised back when 2020 launched, look at where we are now, VR is barely usable, performance is still bad, graphical glitches everywhere, bad menus, download manager, store menu is ****...and I can go on and on. We'll see if this is true at launch and after a few real reviews.

Here's the main reason I will be quick to upgrade to the 50 series GPU once it comes out. I barely manage to run MSFS 2020 in VR on the 3070.
2024 will be easier to run, I'd wait. Everyone is cpu limited in 2020. 2024 will have multi threading and better optimization for cpu.

Performance is more relevant as that's what it will most likely affect. Flight mechanics are a separate thing.

What you consider fluff, I consider a better experience all around. I play these games just as much for the beauty of our world as flying planes, and careers are just another way to get immersed.

Why does everyone keep saying you can walk around in the new SIM, but not a single one of the billion newly released 2024 videos on UA-cam actually show you that demonstrated? They're all just using the external cam option for outside shots.
Can you actually get out of the plane and walk across the planet as your avatar either in 3rd or 1st person??
Can you walk from a flat surface up a steep incline?
Or was the walking mechanic just marketing BS?

MSFS already has frame rate issues so our solution is add more unneeded pixels in the form of animals and characters haha
That being said this is a lot more functional for me as a part timer versus DCS has ever been.
Get a better system, lower your graphics settings, or get a sim that is less demanding.

So much time and money wasted on shit that isn't relevant to actual flying. The actual simulation part of MSFS is only actually optimized for VFR flight during the day? Has the ATC been improved? Has there been any thought put into a legit campaign mode,? Like incorporating NeoFly, at least from the in-game store?

Some parts of it look worse than the last version, and the parts that look better don't look better enough. This is what happens when you release a new version of MSFS just four years after the previous version. I think I'll wait for MSFS 2028, or maybe even MSFS 2040 (if Microsoft is still in business after releasing so many cynical cash grabs).

64GB of RAM is not that expensive in 2024 $100 for 64GB of DDR4 and $160 for 64GB of DDR5
