    Also, if you used this build concept around a peripheral bypass style vacuum motor, which is simply a vacuum motor that has a seperate fan to cool itself rather than cooling itself with the air it sucks in through the typical suction port, you could create your own HVLP paint sprayer since you could use the exhaust port to attach a hose and sprayer without damaging the motor from choking the exhaust which is supposed to help cool the engine.

      That's true because it's an actual vaccum not a bottle with a handheld fan glued to the back

    with slight modification of the intake hose angle you could have converted to a cyclone

      Even just putting a 45 degree angle on the inside will help improve this build greatly, an aditional mod would be to put some wood under the bucket to attach the wheels to so that it is not top heavy.

    Маленькое дополнение. В верхней части, вместо стольких дырок, можно выстрелить одну и поставить переходник для шланга пылесоса и использовать выходящий воздух для покраски. Давления хватает. Я так использовал

    great work man,
    can it run for 8 hours continuous? if yes then what are the motor specification?
    I'm planning to use this one as a dust collector at my grinding workshop.

    For all those people who have commented no one mentioned of a speed regulator to add to the circuitry; if its DIY it should be fully customized....also make a R2-R3 clone from buckets and sell the vacuum to Star Wars fans....wait....maker is also a Star Wars fan...so product Not For Sale!

    Good video.
    What do you think of this posting:
    "with slight modification of the intake hose angle you could have converted to a cyclone vacuum combo".
    adding a 90 degree elbow inside the bin to the intake.

      Sry for the late response i strongly recommend using only a vacuum motor cause they are designed to do this job
      Any other motors might overheat and may cause fire or electrocution

    so i'm using a 775 dc motor with a pretty standard impeller (3d printed). i'm curious why mine has so much trouble picking things up with a 1.25" hose but a 3/8" hose works okay. do i need to increase voltage/RPM (assuming my impeller is okay?)

    • @fixitsamo
      @fixitsamo  7 років тому

      +Raju.y Ch You can get the motor at any vacuum repair shop
      Fan motors are not designed to be placed in a vacuum they don't have the same suction power
      I strongly suggest using a vacuum motor only
      Any other motor may overheat and can be harmful and can cause fire

    • @janmichellevila796
      @janmichellevila796 7 років тому

      ac motor does not have positive-negative connections because they work with ac directly. do not bother too much on yellow-green wire. just leave it packed with electrical tape, it is a grounding wire.

      technically as long as you get a waterproof vacuum filter it will work for it. motor doesnt play a big part in if a vacuum is for wet and dry. its all about the filter and water resistance. get some good waterproof filters and make sure its secured tightly to stop it getting by and slipping into the motor
