While it would add to the cost, you can use a PVC pipe fitting for the suction connection. As it turns out, shop vac hoses fit PVC fittings pretty well
This is a really cool build. Would love to see you iterate on it and make a better filtration system for it. A cyclonic system would work well. These pleated filters always clog in shop vacs and reduces the suction a lot.
The wet vacuum demonstration = the moisture/vapour generated by the water being sucked up will damage & eventually kill this particular vacuum motor as it is for filtered dry air only - due to how it is cooled, and as it has “no” indication of when it is full of water = the motor will flood and die if a large amount of water [over the capacity of the lower box] is being vacuumed.
@@bobweiram6321 but, still, if he would have sucked more water at once (submerging the whole hose under the water, creating a huge suction) then it could maybe suck the water in. I create a separate container for the water with a plastic ball on top of the hose to block any suction when the tank fills up. Also thought about the cyclone.
At one point i saw the chisel pointed at your hand securing the lid. Never keep your fleshy bits in the path of the chisel. If it slips its going straight into your hand.
It will have less load with less flow. It still needs a little bit of flow but in some cases like air conditioners, having maximum flow can overload the motor but slightly restricted flow is best
Nice build! I like the modularity (assuming that you use Turnover Boxes extensively in your organizational system.) 2 suggestions if your are open to them. 1st when you put the latches on, I like that you install them before apply the sealing strip so that it will seal with the preser from the foam. If you put the latches on the top box or the "body of the vacuum" just like you did with the foam sealing strip then any turnover box of the appropriate size could be used as all necessary parts are on one piece. 2nd I agree with Samuel Fellows the motor electronics are quite vulnerable in this build perhaps an enclosed motor or shaft driven turbine and have the motor out of the air stream. Love the idea.
True it's only about as powerful as a low to mid range cordless, now adding another 2/3 of those motors would give this the juice that pipe size deserves lol

Best make yet, well done R&R. 👌
Nice to see a vacuum cleaner with DC Inverter technology
Finally someone found a use for Cherry MX blue.
Now that is something very useful, thank you for this

It's really not a problem, otherwise plain old humidity would kill the motor. Also, the motor is situated quite far from the inlet.

Actually, you guys are right. The motor can easily short if you tipped the box while it was full.
In my opinion, i recommend dust bag near filter. It keeps filter clean and dust bag when is it full just throw it away and add new 🥰
I love this boxes and now i love You 😘
Genius. Love that idea.
Clever I just wouldn’t glue the clasps down without fasteners - you can easily enough seal the leaks made by fasteners
At one point i saw the chisel pointed at your hand securing the lid. Never keep your fleshy bits in the path of the chisel. If it slips its going straight into your hand.
Great execution but the filter might be too small, i worry your motor will burn out for lack of flow....
at least it can be easily serviced or replaced.. oh wait! :D

Where did you get the motor from? Would like to see another one with a cyclonic filtration and more portable one.
What kind of vacuum motor was that that kind of looks like a motor that you would find to blow up a blow up mattress for camping. Is that what it was?
Cool idea 👍 you happy with the results ?
Wow, very cool 👍✌️👌 thanks my friend
👋
Dope build man!

I reckon that pipe is to wide for a small motor like that but still awsome though good job 👍
Nice idea to make this one
I guess sucking up the water would clean out the hose lol, good job,but I don't have a 3D printer as yet!!
Good project
I need circuit diagram for how to wire the motor . I think i have 3 phase bldc motor .can you hlep me
Cute idea, but not "powerful" as you stated. Upgrade your motor and filter for the next one. Nice effort
True it's only about as powerful as a low to mid range cordless, now adding another 2/3 of those motors would give this the juice that pipe size deserves lol
The fact that it says turn over box is worth the watch
why do you have to be so insulting
where did you get the motor from?
Fun project with a compact result
You should make a vortex version of this .
Part list?
I will buy that :)
Potente.????
Chique show 👍👍🎸!!!!

Same like the milwaukee packout vacuüm cleaner
No keycap on the switch... NOOO
FFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!11🤣
Two motors. No wait; three.
need a filterbag~!!
nope, that's a bagless cordless one.
motor tanpa berus karbon, bumyi pun tak bising sangat
I bought a vacuum cleaner for 32 eur instead
That hand and chisel don't look pretty
why not just buy a vacuum?
Step 1: Buy a 3d printer and form specialty parts
That's what i see as problem
维新
Or buy one
Cool build but it is NOT powerful.
Or you can just buy a vacuum.
Too weak
It's...
Not really a great design though. Sorry.
