Hi ALL. Thank you for tuning in every Sunday. These boots meant a lot to the customer because it was a gift from his brother. Sometimes it’s more about sentimental value. Have a great day.

I think it's really great to see a young man take up being a craftsman in today's modern world. Many would wonder "why in the world would you spend money on getting a pair of shoes or boots fixed"? They've never heard a busy signal when trying to call someone either. I think it hearkens back to a time when QUALITY meant something and the USA had the finest craftsmen in the world and we could build anything we set our minds to. I wish things were like that today....we'd be a heck of a lot better off.
You obviously enjoy what you are doing and giving back to people that entrust you with fixing their boots. You are correct, many of these boots that you get are sentimental in value and the customer could easily buy a new pair of boots and throw the "old" ones in the garbage....but they actually MEAN something to people that own them. Having someone like you that we can turn to that can breathe new life into a pair of shoes or boots that you might've thought were ready for the dumpster, is just too cool. To put in the time and passion that you have had to, just to learn a craft that many would think was long since passed, is great. Keep up the great work and posting videos.
Congrats on being able to do something you love and make people happy at the same time.

The rubber soles on those type of Docs are complete crap. I have a pair in black, they're called Tobias (not sure if the ones in the video are the same model but they do share the same exact soles as mine). Trust me, any bit of water on any smooth surface will have you slipping, plus the sole on my left boot cracked in less than a month's use. On the plus side other than the soles, they're pretty solid and well made. The resole on these are actually an upgrade to the originals, which should of been the way Dr. Martens made them in the first place.
