Boost and climb, cut engine and glide, climb again to get advantage before to attack, cut again and glide when out of danger, climb again... And nice teamwork, by the way. Those P-47 should be watched, they can be surprisingly fast at altitude.

Well, the graphics aren't my doing. Modders and developers do those. You pretty much compliment me for the one thing I didn't do, lol. I only do the camera work, edit and flying.

According to Allied test pilot, these things were easy to handle and very maneuverable, my guess is because how light they were. Captain Eric Brown called it "the only good tailless plane", out of 5 types he flown.
I have noticed how when you hit a plane with a burst of those 30mm the sometimes don't do anything, when I hit a B29 with a few 20mm rounds I usually get an engine/fuel fire. Is there a setting to have realistic gun damage or is it a mod?
could never understand why pilots did not exhaust all fuel to atomsphere before landing as more craft blew up on landing because of fuel still in tank the men who fly these things must have been a little crazy but brave
so..ive seen a few of these 1946 missions; the Germans always seem to have their airfields attacked at the start, is htis indicative of a scenario where the allied fighters are roaming freely across Germany, much like they did in the last 6 months of the war? If so, thats a greta nod to historical accuracy…keep up the great work!
General Guisan Quai i : the game *is* quite ancient and is the first of the IL-2 game. If you want one with updated graphics, just go with IL-2: battle of stalingrad, tho now they treat the aircrafts as DLCs like DCS . For the price and content, there's nothing beat this game really as it got tons of aircrafts to play with.
I like the shape of the planes, really streamlined looking for such an unorthodox machine.

Yes, it's a german wonder weapon that can glide on forever.
Me 163 is a perfect glider. But she does lose altitude (or speed). Laws of physics are observed.
