Its been a long time since I heard this for the first time, that it really did catch me off guard. Plini, in case you ever read this- In my group of friends i'd consider myself of the music knowledge guy. I listen to tons of different artists, and play guitar myself. not too good , but i do.( if thats anything good for actually music theory )

every single piece of what i'd wish for is there.

mark heyne Of course Holdsworth is way more complex and nerdy. Way more difficult to understand. Way more dark-jazzy. You might like him or not. But he is the main reason jazz-fusion guitar exists. Plini loves him and even mimics him. I would definitely love to have more sweet melodic tunes from Holdsworth, but once you understand him, it’s just unbelievable that a guitar player was playing like him on the early 70s and had such a character that you can easily identify him without a look. Still nowadays, remains as a unique guitar player. He was kinda out of our leagues. Even for me has been difficult to understand him but it’s because he is too much.

It was just my exclamation to finally hear something that wasn't in standard tuning, but rather something like Drop C like he did with Cloudburst and his material on the Sithu Aye split.

Sacredgeometry but he never plays in standard. :o from what I know his songs are either in drop C# or Standard D#. Except for Cloudburst which is in Drop A#

This might be the most atmospheric, beautiful song that I've ever heard. This song literally brings me through the most epic and magnificent pastures in the universe, like full on visuals in my mind while my eyes are open. Through galaxies and Roman cities floating in space (I went to this places on dmt) and through beautiful white fluffy clouds in the sky. Fucking incredible, like seriously. This is on another level, like I'm tripping or something.
