I love how the Transmute synergises with the curse of the bell cards, because it actually changes the curse into a useful card. After all nothing sucks more than a transmute card, but no targets to use it on.
I think the trans cards are just kinda ridiculous, they have multiple commons and rares that keep stacking effects when you trans. Vicious Shield is just 10 block+ trans which is basically like Shrug it off plus
I've had a run where I've had two of the rare cards which draw 2 transmute cards and then transmutes. If you draw 2 of them and have a few transmute cards in your deck, you can just keep playing the two rares and just stack insane amounts of block which is kinda op (especially with calipers)
I have been sick all day, miserable. Frost screaming 'DONG!' at the top of his voice gave me so much life and genuinely cured my cold.
Snort laugh so strong it clears your congestion
The best thing about this mod is that it can be added to forever, literally this mod has the potential to go infinite

You can easily make 100 videos of content with this mod alone with all of the content it provides! Would love to see a series where you progress to lvl 20 ascension with it.
Grabbed this mod tonight and it was extremely egregiously pog, having 400 hours and A20 on all base characters this was a breathe of fresh air! Keep cooking frost!

How so? There's also two packs built around getting cards from different colours as-is, so shard is a bit much on top of that.
the cards in different packs do not count as different colors. packmaster defines "cards of a different color" as cards that are accessible to classes other than packmaster and nothing more.
@@kevinsun7617 Yep, prismatic shard definitely only gives packmaster cards from other characters.
I 300%'ed slay the spire a couple years back. I haven't played StS in several months. This mod alone is about to make me put several more 100 hours into this game.

I know this may seem random, but I think that if you have the cultist mask on you should have a special interaction with any cultist encounter. I am not sure what would be the best Idea for such a feature, but I just think the concept sounds cool.
Perhaps it could be something as simple as the cultists don't fight you. Or it could instead have you gain scaling strength for that fight like the effects of the ritual potion, this would be super sick for the Awakened one fight. Speaking of the Awakened one, perhaps it could give you a special relic if you beat the Awakened one with the relic. Something thematic perhaps, like gaining strength each time you use a power. Just a little something that would help with killing the heart after. There is so much potential in this game having more unique interactions between relics and monsters.
The cultist mask doing nothing is a big missed opportunity.

I play STS on Switch, but got it on Steam sale a while back in case I wanted to try mods. This video finally made me try a mod, and I loved every second of it. I found another Vex pack and it away truly incredible. I hope you get to find and love it also :)
I've already put 60 hours into this mod and not 1 run has been ANYTHING like the last

That was a very sneaky reference for the intro
This mod is so much fun I had the even/odd and the claw pack and if you get Mutate Claw and Left Hook it’s just a free infinite combo
The Mutate claw makes it so you add claw to a card (letting it scale with the rest of the claw cards) and then when you play it you get a ghost claw (a claw that deals less damage exhausts and increase damage of all claw cards by 1)
Left hook says that if it’s played as an odd card (so if it’s the 1st 3rd 5th or so on card played) it gets put back in hand
So you get to play ghost claws as even cards and left hooks as odd cards and they all cost 0 so it just goes infinite
Combine that with all the put on top of deck effects of the core set and it’s not too difficult to get the combo
Anyway this was all to say we need frost to play a claw deck

I don't say this much, but you need to hit Ascension 20 with this character. It looks like so much damn fun. An StS miniseries on this would be awesome!

It is SO broken for an uncommon card. Combine that with near any x cost card, and you're wrecking shit.
@@denverarnold6210 takes a while to build up. But it's not like a single use gain X energy is weak in the slightest.
Might take 6 hands to prove valuable, but it looks like it is.
I initially thought the Blacksmith Deck was a Rare deck given it's colour, but it appears every deck has a unique border

@@denverarnold6210 If the artwork isn't trying to crawl its way out of the cards, and the text changing randomly on draw, I will be less impressed. Although I understand that there might be Technical limitations.
@@glenmcgillivray4707 yeah, that would definitely be WAY too complicated to have put in yet. Not impossible something like that later, but this was just released from a mod jam, so special effects are still bare bones.

Well damn, seems like I gotta check in with darkglade to see if he's planning on adding packs of his own to this, would be nice seeing a ruina themed one and a gensokyo themed one (for anyone wondering that's the madlad behind both of those massive act mods)
At the risk of giving the hater attention: We really shouldn't be judging card art based on how "high skill" it is. Art in games is there to communicate visual cues to aid gameplay. This mod does that pretty darn well, I'd say, and any "but visual continuity" argument is unrealistic to expect from a community-made mod.

All the Monster Hunter inspired cards were sick. So cool seeing things and ideas from other games in STS
I'm echoing that other guy's comment- I want a whole series of this, Frost! I want to see this again and again, the synergies the different packs and decks make- I would watch you 100% this character if it took years.
This character is by far one of the best modded characters ever made, so much replayability!

Super impressive mod but 1) I feel like it is literally impossible even for the smartest people in the world to balance this character. 2) It's super tiring having to read new card descriptions every run. 3) It's frustrating when you're given packs that don't mesh at all and you feel like your run is just going to suck.
At the end of the day what makes Slay the Spire amazing is the elegance of its design and how all of the cards for each character work together and this mod foregoes all of that.
With that said I'll totally watch more videos like this 😁

Watching Frost not use Tranq Bomb to bring the Champion down to 1 HP to afterwards use Carving Knife was slightly painful.

The “for the content” has a card that can echo-form ALL cards played, and it stacks by playing the card +1. I got a deck which played every card I played 103 times. Wild.
Pretty sure anything but the heart would be dead real quick.
Honestly surprised he didn't take the flow deck, given how much he like draw cards.
Probably not a coincidence that the character looks like frost himself ;)

I just played this mod and I also got the Bellord pack. I decided to try to get as many bell curses as possible.
I ended up killing the heart with 12 bells.
Considering how much you got out of just basic slay the spire, I'm genuinely excited to see you unpack (heh) and delve into this for months.

For anybody looking to play this mod, I heavily recommend custom draft mode at some point for every game you play. Set all 7 to "Random" or "Choose 3" (for a draft-style version). The default mod has you start with a basic pack, 3 random packs, and 3 drafted packs and it can get kind of old seeing the same cards from the basic pack every game. So go all Random or full custom draft or pick one or two specific packs if you're trying to unlock their hat.

I love this mod because of how many different avenues each run has while also having the capacity to succeed! I totally would have grabbed the rare power that copied itself on startup after slime boss, since upgrading it adds 2 extra (upgraded) copies of it to the deck, making the upgrade synergies a little stronger 😳
If you play as Snecko from downfall with this mod installed, you can get this character during set-up and have access to cards from ALL the packs. Just food for thought 😊
I remember like a year ago you said you hated StS mods because they were clunky and OP. When did that change? It's almost like Downfall changed it for you.

A couple of mods are similar to this. If I remember correctly, The Duelist and The Animator mods have different "packs" of cards that you can choose from.
When i start mod the spire, it comes up with a bunch of errors to do with images in the log. Then, when mod the spire does launch, it's a black screen. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thank you
