Have a pair myself and really can’t complain. I’ve enjoyed them, like you said they don’t have some features you can find in the 150$-200$ price range buds, but for less than half the price you should already expect that. Great sound, decent mic, easy connectivity, single bud use ability, good battery life, and for my ears good comfortable fit and seal. Also pretty discreet in the right color for those who need that. Good review👍

Super specific question: Are these ear buds good at cancelling noise from the lawnmower machine?
Hmmm they will block out some noise but probably not all of it. Even more premium earbuds with dedicated ANC wouldn't be able to block it all out?
@@gamingyourway3152 These would probably be fine for mowing but you might have to turn them above the safe level of volume to block out all the sound. A lot depends on how loud your mower is and how good of a fit these are in your ears. I also believe ones with ANC would probably be better for mowing, but also believe over the ear ANC would be even better. I haven’t used these Sony’s for mowing to test because it’s winter where I live but last year I used over the ear ANC headphones and they worked great.

Just got these. They fit Soo well and adjusting with the Sony app and it sounds amazing.
I dont get wireless charging.. like you bring it to the charging dock and set it down, just move your hand and plug it in who cares.. gimmick!
What if your on an airplane or dont have a power socket infront of your ass 24/7
Wireless charging means you do not have to be fiddling with small ports in a small device. Not really an issue for a laptop but for a mobile device that is smaller it makes it less likely to break ports with constant plugging.
Agreed, wireless charging is shit, very slow and most of time pretty pointless in my experience

Until the charging port stops working well and you need to hold the phone and the cable in a certain angle to make it charge.
Nice review man! I just picked these up and as a connoisseur of bluetooth audio I'm impressed at this price point. A couple tweaks in the sony app and these things can not be beat for the 70 I paid. As a bass head I'm satisfied but the mids are punchy and highs are crisp as well. It has a very balanced sound profile out of the box so casual listeners will be happy too. If your looking for a reason to buy these just commit and listen to them yourself!

@@sleepyblack960 mines set at 6,2,4,2,6 for the main sliders, and 5 for clear bass setting. I listen to a variety of genres and find it a good balance for my ears.

@@sleepyblack960 I’ve boosted it up to 8 for some songs, other times it can get a little muddy.. I’d recommend checking your devices internal sound settings too. I’ve found settings that either helped or hurt audio quality because of different devices software. In the Sony app as well, scroll down to DSEE and try it enabled. It’s supposed to enhance audio quality and to me it seems to add more Depth to the sound

😂 you’re really good at this & I appreciate your music choice before the water test. This was a thorough review but my only specific question is, would the “big button” be easy to accidentally press if someone were to touch their ears? We’re looking at these for the purpose of an in-ear metronome during performance & recording and as long as they stay playing despite any accidental touch, these seem perfect
They aren't super easy to set off as it's not a touch surface but an actual button that clicks! TY!!

I have a question about the orange case light - I bought a pair yesterday and they're fully changed and working but the orange light won't stop flashing. It blinks around 2 times a second and I've googled the reason but haven't found an answer yet. Any ideas? Thanks for the review.

Switching between devices seems to be a pain. I have to go back to my computer and disconnect before I can play on my phone. Am I doing something wrong?

My Sony wfc500 is charged for 2hrs 15 mins, its 100% charged and still shows orange light while charging, is there any issues with the earbuds do I require to replace it
Does the charging case creak when you press it slightly when it's closed? Mine does creak even with little force when I pick it up normally

Hey bro. I've had a problem with two of my pairs, idk if you've had this problem. I held the button for about 2-5 secs and the earbud shut off. Only one side. It has not since turned on. I returned one pair, got this replacement. Same thing happened. Any experience with how to fix this?
No, just stop buying sony earbuds, they suck, I bought two pairs, they constantly do this, and then the left earbud stops charging for no reason and you have to put them in the trash.

I got it day before yesterday for 2300 INR ( 28.31 $) . It is beyond phenomenal for the price. I am using this for just the gym and jogs. For regular ANC i use the Soundcore Life A2 NC. And in sound quality, it easily surpasses the Soundcore. I absolutely love it. and most importantly, that battery life, Especially the 10 hour earbud battery.

Having small ear canals some earbuds can be painful to wear after an hour or so. Since you also have small ears what options would you recommend?
I have extremely small ear canals, air pods pros wont fit my ears, THESE so far have a good fit for me

My earplugs are fully charged, but when I put them on case sometimes the lights stay on for like a long time.... Any suggestions?
I bought mine 2 days ago and just started noticing a static noise whenever there is audio playing through the buds. No matter the volume of the audio, the static stays the same and only stops a few seconds after audio is paused.
This appears to be a common issue/ feature, which is more or less unnoticeable if you have your volume up, but still definitely something to consider if you like to have your audio quieter, especially if you plan to use them in quiet spaces, as the static will be quite noticeable

@@mahathi_l As far as I’m aware, there’s no way to reduce the static sound - people have speculated that it’s something to do with the sound system prepping to make noise or something like that (I’m not an audiophile). I’ve been using them since I bought them and I don’t notice that static most of the time - if you’re really concerned about the sound being perfect, I’d probably suggest not getting these, but if you’re just a casual listener while you’re doing chores or travelling, then I think they’re great
from like 100 comments ive read about c500's the static noise is the specialty of these, do not get them.@@mahathi_l
@@winkstack6410 Hello! I took some time to actually test the ear buds. It arrived last week. Fortunately, i'm not getting the static noise. The buds are amazing with a little adjustment in the app. I'm hoping these would live for like another 4 years maybe. Thank you!

Are the C500 similar the MDR-XB50AP with its bass and quality? Im looking for an upgrade because my second pair of the MDR's died.
I’ve been using these for quite a while now and have probably a gazillion hours on them. They’re great for listening to music while doing work, they fit perfectly under hearing protection so it can make work a lot more fun. Sound quality and battery life are great and they fit perfectly in my ear.

I have bought 4 different Sony headphones. I have never complained about any of them. My problem is I enviably lose on of the little things and it's annoying when that happens. Regardless, I Only buy sony Headphones they're tech and sound quality for their price points are phenomenal.

I've had them for a month and I like them alot but I put them in my pocket with out the case (so dumb). Now the right one has a clicking noise and keeps repeating "power" anyone know a fix or should I just toss em?

How is the latency on a PC?
I got a set that had "for iPhone/iPad" and "also supports android" was added as a sticker over it. So it was the exact same packaging otherwise. Worked fine with a Samsung phone. All functions enabled. No difference compared to an iOS device, though I didn't get them right after release, so I don't know if they updated drivers and that was it. Same model otherwise. I like low profile and ability to fit them under a hat. I thought buttons would get clicked by the band around them, but that didn't happen. I still would've loved to have concave buttons instead of ones, that stick out. Battery life is the selling factor for me, and they're perfect. Visual aesthetic is great. I hate Seinheizers, that make a person wearing them look like Frankenstein. Anything angular or protruding looks ugly and has too much momentum, when turning the head. Grip on Sony's is not that good, but I guess it's subject to different ear types. Single recharge out of a case? Never a problem. It's there really to top you off during the day. I wish the case was rectangular and less likely to roll off some angled surface and shatter on impact. Overall, happy with the set. Think it's worth the money. Not perfect, but decent for the price. Sound is average, but I wouldn't expect great sound out of such design anyway.
Is this compatible with an iPhone 14 Plus?
@@theoneemperor1 Don't have it, but I assume it would work. Sony still supports drivers on those. There's nothing radically different in the new iPhone. Same bluetooth protocol.
I have a pair of the "iOS only" ones and I have a pixel 6 pro. And they work really well. I ended up buying a second pair as a backup just in case
Same. I have a tcl 20 pro and they work fine. I got them for a backup for my Bose, and I'm impressed!

Sony WF-C500-I've been having an issue where whenever I play audio i hear an audible hissing noise coming from the pair of earbuds. It doesn't matter what volume I'm at; the hissing is consistent. When I stop playing any type of audio, whether it's from a youtube video or spotify, the hiss is present. When I stop playing audio the hissing continues for a few seconds before it stops.Anyone else experiencing this exact issue?Can it be repaired?
Haven't heard of this happening may be a driver device fault here.
Try activating the codec , you select the buds from bluetooth and there you should find an option with a codec. Had the same issue ( oppo reno 4 lite)

Great review. I just bought this yesterday. Great earbuds. Love the sound and customization features. And the size of the case, really helpful for you to carry it around. But I totally miss ANC features from my previous earbuds the Huawei Freebuds pro.

Hi. Thank you for the excellent review. I have read some people complain about these earphones having a “white/static noise” when they are not playing sound that is annoying. Has anyone had this problem?

It turns off after a while tho it’s only for like a few seconds
Enable Developer Options on android , then connect the earphones and go to developer settings there u will find Bluetooth audio codec option , change that to AAC ... Please tell me if this fixes the problem .

Headphones I would go with Bose QC lineup.
@@ChilledFossilofficial I have just checked and the Bose QC EarBuds are super expensive (I’d definitely prefer earbuds), anything closer to the Sony’s price, like for example Jabra Elite 3 or similar?
Under 100 I also reviewed the Jabra elite 3 on this channel as well and loved them, except for fit. But they have a ton more features like ANC.
I would say if the Jabra elite 3 fit well in your ears they are better. I have weird ears so they didn't fit as well as the Sony's.
My right ear doesn't switch on, its flushing orange light when i put it on charger, please help... the other ear(left) its working...

I bought a WF-C500 in January 2023. After very little use, the left ear suddenly got very hot and stopped working. Sony did not agree to replace or repair.

Don't buy these sony earbuds, they definately suck, I bought 2 pairs, they both stopped charging (left earbud) within 2 months, they constantly disconect or one earbud stops working and you need to re-seat them and restart your phone, ridiculous.

I have the poco x3 pro and i bought these earbuds last month but they keep on stopping every now and then for a couple seconds but it does it regularly lately and it gets annoying. Do you you have any idea on how to fix it?? I also think that this problem is coming only when i use the spotify but it is not happening when i don't have the earbuds connected

@@roshanvignesh5667 i use them a lot and i haven't noticed a problem. Once in a long while they might stop playing for a couple of seconds but it doesn't happen often so it is not really a problem. Other than that they are fine i recommend them

They do have conference calls but the mic on them is just so bad..... that you might not as well.
