    Which was your favourite capsule monster? I mostly sticked with Sully since he rarely fled in battle...
    Also, how many of you beat the secret Egg Dragon boss?

      sullys my favorite too 🗿

      Sully hardly flees, that is statement that isnt correct with my lufia 2 game he is like the 3rd one who likes flee often out of my battles. Jelze at other hand more often than not just fights till its death and because his master form has such strong attack in it is nice to have and his previous forms with allround nice skills and him being nuetral is always usefull in a pinch.
      Egg dragon boss is decently easy fight to do it just takes forever to kill.

      @TobiContinued93  Рік тому

      Jelze certainly does flee the least, but sully is also pretty solid. Maybe you used too many shrieks on him during feeding and now he is scared. :p

      They can really help out if you develop them early. A tail smash from class m Jelze destroys enemies... make sure to get gades blade when you replay lufia 2. :)

    Tip: When u are grinding levels for Gades in first encounter, u can go treasure shrine and farm secret seeds from wood gorem (kill them, Reset, repeat). These seeds are for jelze, for class 3 -> class 4 u need 32 seeds + 1 seed for evolve. U are doing 2 things at same time :)

    • @TobiContinued93
      @TobiContinued93  9 місяців тому +2

      Interesting. How long would it take to get 32? Is it faster than farming bees for 32 rocks?

    Nice video - have some fond memories of Lufia back in the day. I often stuck with ‘Foomy’ as I called it (the white blob), but the healer could be useful in the ancient cave, if you got the right materials to upgrade.

    • @TobiContinued93
      @TobiContinued93  Місяць тому +1

      Thanks for the comment. Foomy is really good if you develop him early, but i preferred the fire or dark monster because they looked "cool" :D
      Yeah the healer can be useful in the early parts of the ancient cave, but later I would always switch to darbi because of his strong abilities. I discussed this in my Video on how to beat the ancient cave btw. :)

      I really envy you! It's a very cool game if you do not expect a grand and complex story like chrono trigger. Tell me if you need help at any point, the puzzles can be a little tricky later on but are really satisfying to solve.

    I remember I used turbans for evolving to class IV. A little cheaper and straight forward.

    • @TobiContinued93
      @TobiContinued93  Рік тому +2

      I just checked it and it didnt work on my european version. My american cartridge didnt have a suitable safe slot anymore. But it might be that different localizations have different feeding tables for capsule monsters?

    • @rbecker3244
      @rbecker3244 Рік тому +1

      My bad, it was the "tight" turban from Karloon, sold in Karloon for 5000. It's been more tgan 20 years since I had last played it (^o^)

    • @Dhalin
      @Dhalin Рік тому +2

      @@TobiContinued93 I can tell you with certainty that the feeding tables ARE different between NTSC and PAL versions of the game. I always used the Wood Shield way to get to Class 3 but I found that it doesn't work on the PAL version, but it does on the NTSC. Also, I helped someone I know get into emulation and I inadvertantly downloaded the PAL version of the game, it was nice that the tileset for the 100th floor of the cave and the dual blade shrine actually worked properly, but they complained that capsule monsters were "off" in the Cave. didn't know what they meant until I tried playing the game myself and found my usual recipes didn't work.

    • @TobiContinued93
      @TobiContinued93  Рік тому +1

      Interesting. Thanks for telling me! I was shocked when i played the ntsc version and the last floor of the dual sword shrine was all messed up...
      Man i really hate how localization was done back in the days, especially the region locks between america/europe/asia and the different cartridge designs.

    • @Dhalin
      @Dhalin Рік тому +1

      @@TobiContinued93 Well,a big reason as to why they did the region locks, was because of how TVs work. NTSC TVs like in the USA and Japan are 60 FPS, or well, 59.9. In PAL regions, like UK and Europe, they are 50 FPS. And from what I remember reading, PAL TVs don't accept 60FPS input either not very well, or not at all and I forget which. Another reason why playing the PAL versions of games is not recommended. These games were originally designed for NTSC, and when you shave 10 FPS off the top, the music is off, animations don't look right, etc.

    My Jelze went to 4 and reverted back to 1 and wont eat anything. Do you know what happened?

    • @TobiContinued93
      @TobiContinued93  10 місяців тому +2

      It is normal that a capsule monster wont eat anything after reaching class 4, thats when you have to feed it a specific fruit at a certain class to evolve it into its Master class. You can freely change the class of a capsule monster in the "capsule" menu under "change" unless you evolved it to its Master class. Hope that helps.
