I don’t think so but I cannot guarantee. I arrived with a tourist visa (got it at Penang) and was asked for onward travel documents for the application. At the same time, I’ve arrived at borders with no proof of onward travel many times before. The Malaysian border a handful of them. Things are a bit tighter these days but, as long as you don’t seem sketchy, I don’t think there will be any problem for a simple visa exempt stamp. I was in a visa agents office in Penang checking prices etc and literally watched him copy/paste/edit an old flight document and save it again as a pdf.

Depends on whether there is patronage or profits.
(some of the trains look very empty)
I doubt many Malaysians have the means to enjoy distant holidays regularly.
Is it cheaper to transport goods by fast rail or sea?
      These are the questions.
Otherwise it becomes a white elephant.

Throughout Europe ppl love to travel the very efficient, very convenient, fast, great connectivity and safety intercity train before jumping directly into the local MRT. BECAUSE OF THESE, holidaying is so leisurely convenient, fast , time saving, very efficient......The late LKY and his family used to vacation in Cameron Highlands, taking the only best route to Tapah by the lazy old time consuming railway route . @@awequayzngs1780 very simple, you build feeder bus routes to the stations.
It will only work if there are normally lots of traffic along the eastern seaboard, eg many, many people using air between Penang, KL and Singapore.

Tbf I’d probably fail at it. At least I’ve had to do my own beds in Japanese ryokan and they end up coming apart in the night. It also gives the conductors something to do as they’re pretty much twiddling their thumbs most the journey. Efficient use of manpower.

I am literally on a train between 2 destinations. A toddler could pretty much follow it. I even list the stops along the way. With vlogging I find the opposite. I prefer immersive travel rather than listening to annoying jingles or some gaunch yammering over the natural sounds (although, tbf, the audio isn’t great here). Otherwise it’s literally point and shoot so no time wasted. I’m not being intrusive either like those obnoxious vloggers spoiling other people’s journeys with their incessant/pointless narration. Ever been in a cafe/restaurant with one of them. Jeez those guys are the worst.
