42c.. In poly tunnel, all vents open and sprinklers going. Very unpleasant !......but not as bad as last august when thermometer went off the scale 50c +, !!!
Loved the Strawhenge comment. I showed my Mrs. your old school mop bucket and told her to get one and clear out the dozen plastic mops that fall to bits when I look at them. Thanks for posting and remember. Mad dogs and Englishmen go out in the midday sun. PS: 27 c at 06.30hr humidity 98% heavy rain for an hour or so most days, with some fantastic light shows, the pleasures of Vietnam.
Best way of cleaning Solar is with one of those window cleaner brushes. (Long telescopic broom with a hose attachment basically) And then tape or cable tie a ice scraper to the back of it to get the moss and any bad bird poo. I’m an agricultural electrician and have done my share of cleaning solar on systems like yours. It’s by far the easiest option. I’d get them cleaned asap and do it atleast yearly. It makes a huge difference on your generation. Like massive difference.
Breakdown problems are a pain not bad if you repair it your self its been a hot one today we are still clearing up after Gt Eccleston show you'll need plenty of water on hand in case of a fire been 35 degrees today feeling 98% today great video Ollie Eddie
It was tooo hot! But baling straw at midnight with the climate set at 19 saw blissful. Was a lot cooler than in the house. Finished barley and all baled up. 👍 90%🥵🥵
We had 40 degree's down south, in our showroom at work it hit 44 degree's, 50% of the walls are made from glass and the roof is tin similar to your shed roofs. No AC in there either, yesterday was a struggle
Hottest I had in North West Ireland on Monday was 30.5 Celsius, to day 17 bit of a drop, but can sleep, oh tip this week moss of roof or gutters, I was advised a few years ago by a commercial building cleaner that a leaf blower was great for getting dried moss and leaves off roof. Bought a Stihl BR 700, absolute class job, 800 is too big and clumsy 700 top notch 👍. Big job turn small, do away with the yard brush also.
36 today on my scania dash outside Sheffield. My I say sorry to the farmer who his land was on fire off the m18/M1 and ready to go to his uncut barley, . Nice video Olly. Who loves uk summer time?
I’ve only seen 32 today in North Yorkshire but it got hotter. You do right having the water bowser full. Maybe have a drag/discs or similar on a tractor ready too. Best to be prepared for the worst and not need them.
Great video olly, and yes we’ve had a very hot day today, my car read 40 degrees outside my house at 14:30 this afternoon which is Penzance far west off Cornwall.
Volume pressure washer would wash the panels pretty well if you had enough pipe. Tractor said it was 34 been doing some work on the combine feeder house today but was in the shade thankfully 👍
Great video Olly, in Suffolk uk 38c you bought your case Tractor just up the road from us. your baby son growing up fast love to visit your farm sometime, claas combines my favourite used to drive Dominator and matador irl 👏
Morning Olly, Spray your Moss (and Lichen) with Wet'n'Forget (on deal at Costco) It's Organic so quite safe - think seaweed is one of the main components. Did the roof lights on my Stables last year. Killed all the moss and no regrowth, still clean 12 months on. (Also worked great on external window cills on the house) Use an airline with a bent hook to clear the troughs on the corrugated roof (saves dangerously standing on roof) before it rains. Then back to the day job! 🚜
Was at a clients yesterday working through borders next to a swimming pool with white tiles. Air temp was 36.5, ground temp was 45 🥵 Taking today off, no point in getting ill. Great videos as per usual 👌🏼
Calgary Alberta sat between 30 and 34°C for most of last week, rain arrived today which is a great relief. This is not unusual for Alberta in the summer. 95% today
Those older tyres will have tubes with patches on them and the glue melts in very hot weather, in1976 we had to keep everything either inside or park under trees to prevent it. I don’t think this compares to that summer you would see tar running on the roads and the council were always out with the gritters spreading sand on the roads, the canal next to us was less than half full!
Wow t-shirt from 2003 June, that was when I was born haha, today we had 38 in Oxfordshire at one point. Unfortunately there also been quite a few fires in Oxfordshire and unfortunately a local farmers combine has burnt down luckily the fire was contained to a small area but the combine didn't survive but no one was injured and that's all that matters at the end of the day
To try to cope with the heat, cut a old hand towel in half, soak it and a baceball cap in water put the towel on your head hold it in with the cap. When it drys out re soak it.....its worked for us in the past. Met office says high 37s today
No read out my 16 year old crafter!! but phone said 37 just outside Tadcaster. That shaft looks like twisted liquorice stick! Iron sulphate is good for killing moss if you get a build up. Is it red nose day? 😆
We had 35.5 here in Weaverthorpe North Yorkshire but had no electric till 5:30am this morning due to a combine hitting the mains pylon and brining down sparking a huge fire was 1 of 3 farm related fires last night not sure of the fire brigade knew which direction to go in
Remember as a kid watching old Claas Matadors struggling with heavy crops in heat. Not 100 but not far short. No cabs, plenty of dust so drivers covered up. Dad had that on 625's nearly 50 years ago as well. Wasn't nice.
Feel.your pain about the t-shirt being older than the fitter, I'm on leading vining peas, the lass that's on with me passed her hgv 2 years ago at 18......I've been driving since April 2000! 😥
38.9c outside 42.1c inside not looking forward to tomorrow though could be worse our neighbour had a load of fire engines out after their field caught alight

People with think you have gone on a holiday Olly, you will be tanned by the time you finish cleaning the roof! LOL Europe is experiencing our weather here in Australia and we are experiencing yours, the world is upside down climatically! Thankfully it's temporary! 100% take care you and your family Olly with the heat! Hottest temperature in Australia, I have experience is 47 degrees C. Stay cool!
Mad heat 🤣🤣🤣 we hit 102f here and with the heat index it gets 105 and its off and on for July and August then we 95 to 98 September. I had to look to see the c to f to see what you had and hate the high heat but we deal with it every summer. We have hay cut down on one day and baled at 10 to 12 percent the next day. We have rain coming finally so we are getting a break it 92 today. We are in the middle of tennessee so it doesn't get as bad here as it does in the south they hit record high heat but it's a dry heat. You can stand it better because here it's high humidity and its miserable. I am assuming you have the high humidity there as well great video.
38 Devon , need some copper wire on your roofs to stop the moss . Window cleaners extendable pole would clean the solar panels , they do upstairs windows from the ground .
Great video some fab combine content everything is working harder in these extreme weather conditions fingers crossed temperatures will return to normal every year is different a lot of corn has been cut already and we’re not at the end of July yet 👌👌
You farmer's are so resourceful. Engineers, DIY, businessmen, investors and err Farmer's
37 at Cutthorpe, been hosing down the horses, the cows 🐮 have gone under the trees, The sheep have lucky been sold.. great video, keep them coming..
42c.. In poly tunnel, all vents open and sprinklers going. Very unpleasant !......but not as bad as last august when thermometer went off the scale 50c +, !!!

I recommend a pre-application of Fleet Clean, give it time to soak in and then high pressure water washing.

38c here in Kent. I remember 1976 and all the insects and ladybirds masses of them but today - no insects or flies. Nice Vid.
It was tooo hot! But baling straw at midnight with the climate set at 19 saw blissful. Was a lot cooler than in the house. Finished barley and all baled up. 👍 90%🥵🥵

When the gutters are so dry..........I found the leaf blower works really well to clean them out..
